How to moisturise naturalhair - even when in protective styles

This was requested by one of my Subbies @rachaelcoker6072 moisturising whilsts in pritective styles…….
When in protective style like braids or minitwists:
mist with a moisturising spritz and seal with oil or melted butter in palms using body heat and squeeze into hair going up and sown the strands
HOW:
First step is your L, Spritz don’t drench squeeze the liquid in and give it time to absorb by squeezing it into the strands.
Your liquid of choice should always come first, moisture can be hard for natural hair to retain, which is why it is essential to use water/leave-ins underneath other products. In other words, using oil-based products first will dry out your hair.
Next step is your C which will be a water-based cream/moisturiser/leave in- How to determine if a product is idea as your C; Water/aqua will always be the first ingredient
Follow up with your sealant of choice which is your O- I always say your sealant should be able to penetrate and seal (discussion for another video 😊)
You do not have to be heavy handed with products when remoisturising. Focus products on ends of your hair strands because that’s the oldest, most porous part so will always need more care and attention.
Try to avoid any cream or products on your scalp
Hair can have various porosity so don’t get too hung up on this! What you should keep in mind is your ends are always more porous because that’s the oldest part 😊 I add whipped butter to ends for added moisture/sealant
