Here's each of their representation that's why there's different scene and clothes.
    Pablo: Government
    Josh: Middle Class
    Ken: Slums
    Stell: Farmers
    Justin: Future Generations
    Ctto.
    PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ‼️‼️
The whole video tells their story from scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down. Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound Kpop and there will never be a Ppop. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think Justin is a dreamer. Looking at the Earth but blindfolded. Stell hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be plenty of fruits. Ken is like a king in a throne made of junk. He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has the power now, our feet should always be on the ground. Josh in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do.
Then the dreamer Justin finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality. Seeds from Stell's hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm, it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a general signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually, the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes, Ppop is real. We have our own sound, our own music! Thats why Filipinos, let us all raise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark ❓which represents each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own flag to raise. The music video shows what hope, courage, determination and God above can do!
RAISE YOUR FLAG PROUDLY!!! GOD BLESS!!
    Ctto.

This song is about individuality, and being proud of who you are, by waving your flag.
SB means Sound Break. SB19 aims to introduce Pilipino Pop to the world. SB19, the PPop Kings of the Philippines.

"What" is a play on the word "watawat" which means flag. This song has a very deep meaning and very personal to SB19. The flag is not necessarily a literal flag but your own flag - who you are and what you believe in. It's being proud of yourself no matter what. The song also talks about the struggles of SB19 and their journey to success. The guy looking at the space represents their dream of being recognized locally and globally that is slowly becoming true. The guy who looks like a farmer planting seeds represents their training and hardwork and the growth of the wheat represents their success. If you like you may check out the "SB19 What?:The Making Film" for more appreciation of their song. Thanks for your reaction. You guys are so fun! 💙

The title of the song is play around with the tagalog word "watawat" which means flag. It talks about their story that they have been through hardships and they had a lot of bashers. They didn't stop grinding and they are where they are right now in their career. They are also expressing that we don't need bullets to fight a war. The bars that they are spitting will hit the hearts of the people who don't like them. It's an inspirational song to let everyone be proud of who they are. They don't need to be ashamed and raise their flag proudly.

Yes, in the line “wo-wo-watawat,” “watawat” means flag, as shown in parentheses in the subtitles-and which also rhymes with the title “What?” (Obviously lol) And another yes - the “battles” could represent each of the member’s different types of battles. A huge round of applause to the guy standing in the back!👏🏽🙌🏽
And y’all thought he was trippin’ or not paying attention 😂

Youre right, each transitions for each member. Each has their own battles to fight. Each section represent their themselves.
The guy in the galaxy scene, he sang at first
ALL THE WINDOWS THAT WERE SHUT AT THEM BEFORE, IS NOW ONE BY ONE OPENING UP TO THEM.
The galaxy scene is a reresentation of he amongst the other members has the world on his feet. He has the resources but still with being a member of SB19, the windows of opportunities was shut to him. They have to brave through lots of battles and one of them is being bashed by their own. Not accepted at first by many. With the help of the Father, the have faith that someday they will win their hearts through their music.
    Thanks again for your reaction.
If you want to hear them sing and dance LIVE, they have a live perfomance during the WISH 107.5 Awards Night. They have lots of good music on their first album. They choreograph their own dance, they write the lyrics of the songs and they even have a hands on the making of their music videos.

There's a lot of things to decipher...even the smallest detail has a meaning and contains a message..even with the beats that goes from being hard and dark to being happy and poppy, means they came from dark stages until they finally succeeded...even the diamond formation has a meaning because a diamond is like a gem that has no value but in time and when forged by extreme heat and pressure it will eventually become precious, the different scenes represent different individuality...all and all its about self empowerment and self love... raise your flag proudly and stand for WHAT❓you believe in

What basically means what are you standing/fighting for or what are you proud of? Whatever it is that you’re representing don’t be afraid to raise your flag proudly. The dude at the back is correct, each scene represents ones battle and if your wondering what the galaxy represents, it is basically saying that he is seeing things differently now that opportunities are starting to come in coz he was saying before all he saw was pitch black cos all the doors were closing on him but he just kept the grind despite all the hurdles he encountered and now, finally, his hardwork is paying off.

It made me smile every time that one guy said he could be the lead singer of SB19 (pronounced nineteen and not one-nine). You guys need to listen to their ballad songs, especially their live performances, to appreciate their vocal talents. (I recommend ‚Tilaluha‘ and ‚Hanggang sa Huli‘ on TM Pusuan.) When they were going through the crowd in white, those were not blindfolded, rather they were wearing their bandanas like masks. Corona measures, I guess. Someone was mentioning that money was poured into this video. In fact, they had a limited budget on this video but they worked with really talented groups which made it possible to produce a video like this on their budget. It was interesting to watch the group dynamics during the reaction video. Thanks for reacting to SB19.

Thanks for your reaction to SB19.
They are a Filipino boyband promoting PPop. All 5 members can sing, dance, rap and even act.
The MV is about self love and empowerment. Raising your own flag, being proud of the person you are.
The songs shows their individuality and oneness as a group as seen also in the MV.
20/20 means perfect vision. Many have perfect vision but looking through a broken lens. Blind to the truth. Always wanting everyone to conform to their own principles and beliefs. BUT THEY WANT to go against the flow. They want to present a different musicality. You may hate them, you may throw garbage at them, they will not retaliate, they will not resort to violence, hence, they will use their music to win their hearts. They know they will overcome these because they have the ALMIGHTY GOD as their amulet.
Be proud of who you are. Do not be someone you are not just to please everyone. When you believe in yourself, everything will just fall in place.
    #SB19

The first guys is Pablo: the leader. He wrote the song and asked Simon Servida to make the beats of it. Check Servida's channel too. Pablo's lyrics says "got no biz on y'all please, destiny's I'll be better.." means when they started as a boy group in the Philippines last 2018, they did not receive the best response. But they kept going.
Ken, the main dancer..the one sitting on a garbage throne on his lyrics says "I'll bring my garbage anywhere..Wherever I go, I'll keep my feet on the ground" it could mean that they would not pretend to be someone else, they'll keep who they are.. they promised to keep grounded and humble. Their second single "Go Up" went viral last 2019 and from then on they been breaking records not just in the Philippines but even Billboards. They rabk top 6 on Billboard Social 50 of 2020 along with BTS, Billie Elish, Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK among other artists.
Justin, the creative director of the MV..yes you read it right.. he made the storyboard of the MV. He was the one with the blindfolds and looking through the galaxy. That represents their vision, their out of this world ideas. Though people often judge them as kpop wannabes, the lyrics says the windows that are closed for them before are now opening one by one.. actually the galaxy represents WORLD DOMINATION.
Stell, the main vocal and choreographer of the MV on his lyrics says.. "all this tragedies didn't budged me..I'm here now" speaks about their hardships as trainees before becoming an artists. They have trained for 4 years before debuting. The reception of their debut was lukewarm, but look at them now. They are slowly conquering the music scene in the Philippines and yet the pandemic happened. But they bagged a lot of projects last year. The pandemic didn't stop them.
    The Chorus says
Don't need bullets to raise your flag
From now on these bars will hit your heart..
That means all the judgements of people they will not reciprocate it with harsh words or they will not defend themeselves but they will use their music in hitting their heart. They'll get you to love them through the music.
Josh, main rapper, the guy who went out from the elevator speaks about 2020 which we all know the perfect vision of an eye however there are people who have perfect vision, who are intelligent but are blind with the truth. But he continue saying 'that's okay because we are sharpen by an iron maiden (iron maiden is a torture equipment on 19th century..) I could think this is about their struggles before which mold them to be who they are now..
and a little trivia..their mentor is a korean woman which can also represent the iron maiden in the lyrics.
The song talks about raising your own flag.. what is your flag? Who you really are? And it can also be applied to our country which is the Philippines. We don't need bullets to prove our existence. Our identity as Filipinos is enough. :)

WATAWAT is the tagalog translation of FLAG. This song is not exclusive for Filipino. It talks about SELF EMPOWERMENT, SELF ENCOURAGEMENT, SELF LOVE, MOTIVATION and CONFIDENCE. Thus, the Question Mark in the flag (which justifies by the song title WHAT) represents YOU AS INDIVIDUAL not the country you came from nor ethnicity you belong. About the music video, you can relate it to the lyrics and its meaning or intent if you just focus understanding it and reflect to your personal life experiences and challenges.

Before A'TIN was announced on November 2, 2019, there was an unofficial fandom name called "AURUM" the Latin word for gold and the source of its chemical symbol, "Au".
Aurum is not a fandom name but a group of people supporting SB19. Before SB19s debut, Aurum already existed. It was misunderstood by fans so Aurum was spread and called as SB19's fandom name.
    ☆Meaning behind our "A'TIN".
    A'TIN "There's no 19 if there's no 18" ATIN means ours. AURUM'sb9TIN
There is an apostrophe ( ' ) after "A" in A'TIN. Sejun said that Aurum will never die and it will be forever in their hearts so they put an apostrophe after A remarking Aurum in A'TIN. The meaningful AURUM is still part of our fandom name and A'TIN without AURUM is actually nothing. A'TIN becomes more meaningful because of AURUM. That is how thankful our SB19 is. They know how to look back where they started and humbleness in them never fade. I am proud to be part of "A'TIN with AURUM" or "A'TIN without S"

The guy in space/galaxy 🌍 is Justin. The doors to the world and the universe are now opening up to them. 👑🔥💙🌍Those doors were shut before. They thought it's impossible to penetrate the Philippine music scene and to gain international fans. They didn't even know that their dance practice will go viral and the rest was history. They were bashed and ridiculed by fellow Filos but they persevered with the help of A'TIN, their dedicated fandom. They are a Billboard mainstay. The highest spot they achieved in the US Billboard Social 50 was top 2 next to BTS. They were removed from the Billboard emerging artists chart after they achieved mainstream artist status in less than a year. Been in top 25 of AsiaPop 40 which is a radio program broadcasted in 90 Asian countries. They ranked top 6 in the 2020 year end list of most mentioned celebrities on Twitter worldwide. Last year they ranked third in terms of number of tweets with 70M tweets, next to BTS (#1 500M+) and Exo (#2 80M). They were planning to collaborate with Kpop artists in Korea but due to the pandemic it didn't push through.
And they don't wanna be called idols but rather artists. The songwriter and co-producer is the leader, PABLO. Hes the one with blonde streaks.Hes good at literary arts too.Try reading sleeping Prince, I'm No Lover, and Writer's Block by SB19's Pablo. The space guy Justin is the creative director of their what❓ MV. Stellvester or STELL is the power vocalist or main vocalist. He's a male soprano and so witty, funny, and sweet. STELL is the farm boy or flower boy in this MV. The one singing in vocal fry is Ken the main dancer. He has the lowest register that's why vocal fry suited him well. He's a fashionista you may wanna check out his Instagram. Josh is the elevator guy. He's the lead rapper and an esports professional player.

There are more meanings to this song. The what-/watawat (flag in filipino language) means raising your own flag or repping your country, both are valid points. Each transition could mean to us as filipinos like americans, japanese, spanish who played a huge role in shaping Philippine History (hence the reference of Murillo-Velarde Philippine Map 1734) or the struggles for both sb19 (newspaper) and or can be related to everyone’s personal struggles we all faced. The whole point of the song could be a triple entendre depending on which valid point you wanna look at it, whether sb19, your own personal flag to raise, or country. WHAT (questions the viewer on what they fight, stand or raise their personal flag for??) which sounds like Wat (Wat-awat = flag in filipino) is like a Homophones/Homonyms but in different language if you get what i mean😊✌🏻❤️🇵🇭

The guy in space. Justin. If you paid attention to the lyrics he said "its a mystery that all the windows that closed at him are slowly opening up". The imagery shows how the universe is aligning. 😊 Also WHAT is a word play... In the Philippines 'flag' is watawat (prounced as wa-ta-WHAT). This song talks about raising your flag as a person. Being proud of who you are and what you represent. The contrasts in the video shows each member's characteristics depicting who they are. If you're a fan, you would get it right away but since this is an intro to you all, you'd still have to analyze. 😉

The title of their song is 'WHAT?' and they kinda word-play with it by making it "wata-WHAT" which means flag. It generally is a 2-meaning song. Which can be raising your country's flag or the deeper meaning which was appreciating yourself and to raise your own personal flag.
You guys have asked what the galaxy part means, the message which they portrait there was to see the 'true beauty' of the world in your own perspective.
I wish this could kinda help you guys. Anyway, thank you for reacting to SB19. 😁

Thank you so much for reacting to our Ppop Kings SB19. 🙏🏼💙 The song actually has deep meaning so if you wanna know more about it, check out their "SB19 WHAT Making Film".
SB19 writes and choreographs their own songs.
PABLO, the leader is the one who composed it and is music co-producer. JUSTIN, the youngest member is the Creative Director. And SB19 (all members) choreograhed WHAT❓ with the help of Sir Tank Bautista, a professional choreographer.

What I love is that... a group of friends, just watching and laughing while reacting to the video.
    Just talking about their shenanigans!
Btw... Watawat(wuh-tuh-wut English pronounciation) means flag! And for the guy in the back just blankly to determine that...
    Very Bright, Shades Boy!

To tell you honestly, you will not grasp the whole idea of the song, and how the vid relates to it until you watch it many times. SB19 mainly did the creative and production process of the song and the MV, with the help of other talented people behind, and they love it when their audience are intrigued. Once you understand all of it, you will be amazed and think, oh yeah! that's how it is! hahaha Thank you for taking the time to check out What? and hope to see more SB19 contents from you. You should definitely check out their live performances.

Music video of “What?” shows SB19 in battle mode. They claim freedom in a fictional, post-apocalyptic war zone and exude an aura of power and longevity to go along with its cinematic appeal.

Flag in WHAT ? represents here, is your own flag.. In this MV as you can see the representation of their own flags of the five members.. The space or Justin's part represents of the person's somewhat in psychological term.. i can't remember the correct term. So here, in whatever your representation must be proud of no matter what, who, you are or where you frm.. its a What ? flag cause we have different flag on our own.. You may watch the- What ? The making film for full explanation of their MV What ?

I hope you could also react to "Bazinga" by SB19 (Lyric Video). It is one of the songs on their EP (Extended Play) called "Pagsibol" (Germination) that was released today. SB19 said that it is a song for the detractors, people who doubted and bashed them before. Btw, 90% of the song is in English.
"Bazinga!" - It's an interjection used to rub a good joke in someone's face or cheer yourself on after a personal win, popularized as the catchphrase of the character Sheldon Cooper on the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

Thanks for positive reaction! This explained:
The whole video tells their story from the scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down.Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound KPOP and there will never be a PPOP. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think JUSTIN is a dreamer.Looking at the Earth but blindfolded or maybe he represnt peole with Mental disorder living their own world.STELL hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be a plenty fruits.KEN is like a King in a throne made of junk.He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has a power now,our feet should always be on the ground.JOSH in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do. The Dreamer JUSTIN finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality.Seeds from STELL'S hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm,it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a General signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes,PPOP is real.We have our own sound, our music!Thats why Filipinos, let us all rise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark which represent each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own fla g to raise. The music video shows what hope, courage, determination and GOD above can do!
Also This all about Love your self no matter who you are, what ever you personalities,Country, gender, language just be proud to raise your own flag.

Hey guys thanks for this!! The "what" is more like a word play for watawat (flag in filipino) and what, like, what flag do u represent? This is basically about individuality or representing your idealism and belief and uniqueness.
Also sb19 wanted people to come back to their MV to re watch it.. They do not wanna make it simple cos they want people to think and dissect the meaning behind their lyrics and video.
    Keep rocking guys!!

Haha.. The way you want to understand the song is so cute. 😂😅 You will only understand the song if you'll listen to it continuously without pausing but it's okay.. It's kinda funny though.. 😊
    What ⁉️
(there is "watawat" played in the song and it is a tagalog word which means "flag, literally asking you what is your flag? Your own personality and what do you believe. )
It is about an individuality of each person.. that's why in every stanza of a song keeps changing of a setting. They're telling us not to be affected of those people who are just looking at your flaws. And giving us encouragement to raise our own flag and be proud of who you are. 🚩💞
BTW thanks for reacting SB19. 😊👍

That guy with wearing sunglass.. is exactly right. Every scene you watch was talking about their individuality of each member.. theyre goals, their dreams, struggles.. that one guy with the space is talking about his dreams.. to be known worldwide.. but the windows are shutting down for them.. and he lyric said " its a mystery every windows that shuts before are opening one by one"..
Basically the song encouraged us to do whatever ( flag) we want to raise.. the flag with a questio mark in it was asking each of us what flag are you holding.. and then if your proud of it.. raise it in every battle your going through

The dancers here represents their bashers who in the long run believed in them eventually. This is their story before they were known as SB19,they were bashed but they did not stop their dreams to become what they are today.Their once bashers become now their followers. The flag represents each one of us,who we are and must be proud to raise or swing it.Thanks for the reaction tho you've got different interpretationt thus did not come to a concensus but did eventually.

if you knew their backstory and how hard it was hard for them to be accepted by the mainstream media here in the Philippines, this song will really speak to you. People were doubting them and there were so many hating on them saying they weren't original and what not. This song really is a response the haters and just to inspire people to be themselves and don't listen to the hate being brought upon you. Proud of my boys!
