Understand that when an artist is "underrated," it's simply because they refuse to sell out and do the things that most top artists do for recognition. Tori Kelli wants to be an artist that glorifies God by how she carries herself and the example she leads. That's not sexy to an entertainment industry that cares more about using sex to sell, therefore, they wont promote her, BUT there will come a time when those who exalted themselves will be humbled and those humbled themselves will be exalted whether society likes it or not. When God is ready to promote his elite, he will and no one will be able to stop it. People like Tori understand this, so it doesn't phase them. They do what they do for the Love of the Music and their gifts and not for the Love of attention and approval from mankind.

I really hate how her music isn't played on the radio. She's got real talent, and her music is only known by those who love and support her. I heard Nobody Love in the apple store at the mall, but it was on a low volume. Her talent deserves more than it is. Her music is not like other music nowadays. the same could be said for other artists who speak from their conscious. Sure they play Ken, Cole, Aiko, Logic, and Bino but you only hear stuff that the masses only hear for catchy parts of their songs or something that ignorant people can relate too, but even the catchy parts that they think they know what it means it not really the meaning they perceive it as like Cole's G.O.M.D which really talks about him(along with others similar to him) seeing the positives of the Hollywood lifestyle at first but later on he quickly recognizes his ego changing him into a arrogant flaw individual which result him of making too many commercial pop style music which was completely different from what he stood for before the fame. Not saying Cole was flaw to begin with but you still see the shift in his music from 2010 to now. With that they barely play any hits that deal conscious thinking anymore like Nobody's perfect, Jhene's sativa(which they barely play), Kendrick's b.. don't kill my vibe(which I heard like 4 times and that's it), and Donald Glover telegraph ave. All you hear is anything that deals with dracos, people mumbling their own languages, money, materialistic stuff, and other ignorant stuff. Even Kevin Gates and 21 don't even approve the trap lifestyle but they admit they were both force into it.
