I went through a time recently where I was just so sick of the waiting season. I kept focusing on what everyone else had and what I didn't have. I thought that it was so unfair that I wasn't in a relationship yet, and kept wondering when was I ever going to meet the one. I got so upset with God and even doubted myself, thinking that it was because I wasn't mature enough or that something was wrong with me. I had a lot of self pity going on, and had even gotten to the point that I had became so frustrated that I didn't even want to have a future spouse anymore, or even wait on the one. This went on for a couple of months until one day I just really sat down and began to tell God about my frustrations, wants, and desires. I repented for making a relationship an idol, thinking that the only way for me to be happy would be if I was in one. But back to my point, as I began to start focusing more on God and instead of my desires and everyone else's relationships, I began to notice that I wasn't so obsessed about being in a relationship so much anymore, and that while I get to spend this time with God, building OUR relationship together how it helps me to find the beauty in this waiting season. Instead of being filled with anxiety, envy, and hurt, i'm filled with peace that when it is time God will make it happen. So enjoy your waiting season and continue to grow in God. He knows what he's doing, and his timing is ALWAYS perfect.

I just heard this song recently for the first time & it absolutely crushed me to my bones... I've lost all hope at this point because I've always put my best foot forward in any relationship (love, friends, family, work)... yet have always gotten stuck with the short end of the stick & left empty handed.
