One thing folks are forgetting is that Alabama has had a penalty problem since 2021. Even in 2022 WITH Nick Saban vs Tennessee, Alabama had SEVENTEEN (17) penalties in that game which resulted in a loss. Saban saw this happening more and more, hence one of the reasons he retired. It’s getting harder to instill discipline nowadays and now it’s all boiling up to the surface.
The sad news is not the resources that needs to be doled out (estimated $90 million) to give Riley his walking papers subsequent to two (2) years of not proving he is a winner on the gridiron and worth the $10 million plus a year he pulled down in Los Angeles. Rather, the tragedy, in my humble opinion, is that the tradition at Southern Cal is to always be within the upper echelon of the NCAA collegiate football rankings, ie., Top Ten in all the three (3) major polls (AP, Coaches, and ESPN), and Riley has not stepped up to the plate and made the expectation of the university administration, fans, and entire Southern California community, come to fruition in my humble opinion. And just as an aside, I was working on my doctorate during the era of Pete Carroll and all the Heisman Trophy leaders, eg., Palmer, Leinart, and Bush, and felt the passion as I strolled by the practice field that had the rather tall eight (8) foot tall fence surrounding the entire field. I have not been back to the campus in twenty-five (25) years, but if I happen to go back, I would hope to get that same sense while visiting the campus I spent many years earning a terminal degree. I am from LA, and grew up around the SC program and in this new era of college football SC is not what it was in the 70s or in the Carroll era. Cali kids are going to other schools more so than in the past too. So Cali sports fans are very fickle if you are not winning the stadiums will be empty go see UCLA.
@Michigan_Spyglasses Sensitive... I guess where you come from, "Bama is gonna be alright" is some wild, belligerent, angry statement lmao I'd hate to see your daily human interactions
You can't take that buddy buddy, laid back California West coast attitude to the SEC. The SEC is a head thumping, ball busting, bushwhacking throat stomping skull cracking league. That West coast sheeit don't work here. Not in this league. No sir.
What’s going to happen is Mizzou is gonna go to bama and get stomped because as bad as Bama is Mizzou is that much worse and them injuries don’t help!! Once bama beats them convincingly every one is gonna say Alabama is back and they’ve figured it out and they’ll jump right back into the top 10 till they go to Death Valley and get their 3rd L!!
That's not happening Usc have never hired a black head coach and Deion got it to good at Colorado the only place I see that might have a chance at Deion is FSU and they never hired a black head coach I don't see that happening
@bigbell7866 bruh gtfoh with that tired narrative. It’s 2024. Teams will hire whoever they feel is the best coach they can get. If they think it’s Deion, he’ll get a call.
@@joshuaclark3414 Do your research on USC and Florida or FSU dawg Trust me they pass on some good coaches some of these schools don't want a black guy for the face of they program
The only thing growing is the wallets of the student athletic football player now. Not surprised by Vandy. Bama, Oklahoma schools are football schools. Notre Dame, Vandy, Byu and schools that are destinations for "student" athletes are gonna start winning against these football schools because they can't hold onto a kid longer than a year.
Love Roman Harper. I didn't play football, but he explains the insights so precise that you understand what it takes to clean up things.
Any podcast with Rese Davis is a good way to learn more about college football, Roman knows football thank you fellows
Yea he called the Georgia upset
Roman, we need you at Bama! Our team is lacking in so many areas. Come help the Tide!
Roman Harper provides really good analysis.
I enjoyed Harper’s defense breakdown intelligent!
Absolutely right Roman we need you in Tuscaloosa Alabama. How much nil do you want. RTR
Love it lol he would be headhunting still
Great show!! Thanks guys

Who remembers Rocky Stop? Roll Tide!
Roman have can you become a dc for Alabama think about it?
Alabama fan here it's over for us this year.😢😢
Roman needs to be a coach on dfence somewhere.

Ive seen enough endzone cheer team and unsportmanlike penalties out of the tide
Vandy is currently ranked higher in the SEC than Bama. Just let that sink in
Bama is gonna be alright
@@mith2946 Why so sensitive? Was more a statement on the season. Vandy is something this season. That's more impressive!

Alabama must have more run pass balance and I mean with the running backs bc Milroe is just off tackle plus you need your backs established
I have an apiheny. Why don't the Alabama greats go back and be position coaches and assistants
Do we really think usc is going to part ways with Lincoln? Doesn’t he bring in recruits?
On offense
But no, they won't get rid of him
Bama should hire Kellen moore
When they fire Deboer
If Alabama doesn't make the playoff somebody on that Alabama staff needs to be fired.

This is Deion Sanders’ last year at Colorado! Mark my words! He will eventually be at USC.

Alabama growing pains???😅. They are not growing. The only thing growing is their mediocrity.🤣

I really don't think so. There's just more parity now though for sure.
When these guys get old, they'll try everything to conceal it. Trust me. I am have entered my seventh decade on earth. Glory be to The Father!
