Here is a quick little video showing you how to replace the old B HEPA filter and the UV light on my Germ Guardian AC4528E. This is the same process for the following models : AC4300BPTCA, AC4900CA, AC4825, AC4825DLX, AC4850PT, CDAP4500BCA, CDAP4500WCA, AC4820
About the Filter:

Nice and to the point. The filter change was self-explanatory but I wanted to know how the UV bulb could get changed. Thanks.
BTW. that prefilter is a carbon filter that will adsorb odors or VOCs. If you have weird odors, change that more often than the HEPA filter. They sell the carbon prefilter also separately for that reason.

I took the screws off the back panel and absolutely cannot get the panel that covers the UV light off! It seems to be stuck on there like glue. 🙁
UPDATE: Finally got it off - it WAS stuck on from whatever the coating is on the inside of the metal panel. I had to reach my fingers in and pull hard to get it unstuck and off.

Thanks. Hopefully changing the light will stop the burning smell. I read it’s a UV thing. Just started in both of my units. Don’t want to throw them away. So will try this first

Why can't i feel mine pulling in any air? It pushes air on the front but I don't feel a vacuum anywhere.

To reset the lights, hold for 5 seconds the UV button.
Mays been unused for awhile and has 0 lights on it

Do I have to keep the UV light at all times
Nope
If the blue UV bulb is flashing but not out do I really need to replace it yet? Can’t I just wait until the bulb burns out? I replace the air filter regularly
you can wait until its completely blocked. You can save money by gently vacuuming the dirty side of the hepa filter OUTSIDE.
If my bulb went out would my tower still turn on ? Or no ?
It would still turn on. There are little switches by the filter. Make sure those are completely pressed in.
@@KeyFobRob changed the uv bulb but the blue light does not come on.
@@KeyFobRob is there more than 1 switch or just 1 interlock switch on top
