- We have a rumor for new the Legend of Zelda game in 2024 for Nintendo Switch where princess Zelda could be in the starring role. Is it possible though this could instead be tied Nintendo Switch 2? And what might this suggest for Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD? Or a new 2D Zelda or remake?

If they make an Imprisoning War game then it would make sense for Zelda to be the protagonist since Link wasn’t there in the past.
I wouldn’t play it. Nintendo had a chance to develop Zelda’s storyline in Tears of the Kingdom and chose not to.
If they didn’t care then, then I don’t see myself spending $ to play through it and be disappointed.
@@user-dh1zg5dq7d Well I can’t make you buy it, but it could be a good premise for a Hyrule Warriors game or something. It’s not like Nintendo would be the first company ever to leave some story out and then tell it in a sequel or spin-off later.

Zelda should only be playable in a spinoff title not the main series Link is for the main.
A companion- narrative TOTK story where we get to see more of her journey in the distant past is something I think fans really wanted to see.
I disagree. there's no actual reason 1. why the hero needs to be male and not customisable 2. why Zelda can't be the player character which you can choose

I rewatched Did You Know Gaming’s videos on Retro’s Zelda games and I would love a Tactical RPG where Zelda is a playable character.
A new 2D Zelda with a playable Zelda has potential too.

Breath of The Wild came, then we got Hyrule Warriors, and now Tears of The Kingdom, makes sense to me that we'd get another Hyrule Warriors, and this time Zelda is playable.
Zelda is playable in hyrule warriors.. What I want is an open world like totk but in the past and you play as princess Zelda
here's my crazy theory: what if this new zelda game is a dlc expansion for totk in the same vein of the torna dlc for xenoblade, because if the rumors are true and the switch 2 was delayed for next year, this probably would make aonuma change his plans and fill the gap for this year
It does make a lot of sense for them to release an enhanced BOTW port early on in the Switch 2's life cycle, maybe even as a launch title, instead of an improved version of TOTK. I have no desire to play TOTK again so shortly after its original release last year. It's still so fresh in my memory. The only thing I'd appreciate would be a free update and it carries over all my progress. But starting anew? Nah, not so soon. But BOTW? This game's over seven years old. Most people left it behind a while ago. A noticeable refresh would make it feel new again and I bet people would buy it. And they still can do the same for TOTK sometime later, when there's a hunger to reexperience this game again. Maybe in 2028 or later.

Playing Zelda would be interesting in Twilight Princess so you can see what happens to her while Link is wandering all around Hyrule... That's the only game which I think could offer a good experience while playing Zelda because we barely know anything about her story in this timeline but it seems dark enough to get some thrill... I HAD ENOUGH OF BOTW/TOTK ! 😹

2. Remakes of Ages & Seasons.
3. Link to Past
4. Phantom Hour Glass.
5.Spirit Tracks.
6. Ocarana of Time 4k will be the launch Zelda tittle of successor.
7. I would like the port of Link Between Worlds.
8. Complete brand new Zelda 2.
9. A remake of the OG Zelda.

a 2d or remaster of a Zelda game could be holiday season 2024. I don't think that switch 2 will have a "mainline" zelda game for at least 3 years...

I think they are going to create another Hyrule Warriors that takes place after the events of the previous game but melded with the events of Tears of the Kingdom to create a situation where Zelda is the main character. In this game players will be facing monsters as usual with the goal of clearing out Ganons influence and rebuilding Hyrule to its former glory. If Ganondorf himself is not a character then it would be a situation like Age of Calamity where someone is trying to revive his presence one last time and players are seeking to end the cycle. One feature of Age of Calamity I really like and would love to see in an open world game is the numerous "fetch" quests that actually provide useful benefits to characters and, in this case, world progression. It could be a game where players get to learn more about characters who didn't get as much of a spotlight in TotK and maybe even learn more about Ganondorf as a person instead of just being the guy to defeat. Just an idea :)
Hmm maybe this could be the Spider-Man Mile Morales to Tears of the Kingdom's Spider-Man 2018... An expandalone sequal that mostly uses the same mechanics as a game that released around 2 years prior that lets you play as a diffferent character is a positioned a launch title for a new console

First the thumbnail art to this video is cool, I agree with some of the comments about another Hyrule Warriors game. In my opinion I think a spinoff game should be based on Ganondorf as the first theif who's playable about 1000 Yeats after skyward sword. It's a bit of a Tom and Jerry game, Ganondorf vs Link, Ganondorf exploring dungeons, taking and giving to the poor, stealth stuff, but eventually he begins to change for reasons that are too long to explain, just some ideas
We have played as zelda before with the 'noncanon games' Hyrule Warriors.
By that as a form of base, we can see what zelda playstyle would be. Last I recall she does cast magic but also wields a rapier sword, maybe more of an estoc? Either way we could be able to see how she could play in an adventure of her own.

What if "now is the TIME" is hinting at a Ocarina of Time remake though?
I know some people don't like the idea of a Zelda game where you play as Zelda herself, but I would personally love that!

I've been hearing about the possibility of a WW/TP combo platter for pretty much as long as the Switch existed. At this point I've given up hoping for it, so my next hope is that they'll make another 2D Zelda, but knowing how the series has been going since ALBW, it'll probably be non-linear. I'd just take straight up remakes of the Oracle games or Minish Cap or something in that case.
It will be the 3rd installment of hyrule warriors. The turn around on those games can be done within a year or 2 and technically totk was done 2 years ago.
I was honestly surprised when they said no dlc they couldve had us play parts from sealing war.

The irony is people have to pick and choose what they watch, nobody has to actually tap and view a video. So people choose to do it TO be negative. Andres is a great dude and just loves making content.
@@NintyPrime I agree, a lot of the hate and negativity seems to be coming from non nintendo fans and I just don't understand why they're clicking on the videos and commenting, they almost always don't seem to understand what's going on and just say whatever based off the title and thumbnail

I hope not it’s not gunna be a hyrule warriers imprisoning war game. With a focus on Zelda taking out gannondorfs army when the regions fall as per TOTK. I would like it to be its own thing, and actual Zelda game

As long as it follows the Zelda formula, gameplay and lore, I don’t really care who I play with.
Give us a real 2D zelda game and I'll be happy, not some spin off game where we play as Princess Zelda, that's just lame.
Those headcanon ideas are dumb. And it would make no sense for Nintendo to waste time, resources, and money to create additional content for two games that are 20 years old.
As far as the whole "wHat iF lInK was A gIRl" and " I wanna play as zelda" things. This has always been a very small yet highly vocal minority that are at best casual buyers and not the core of the fanbase. The same types that have bee hitting 'share' every time they saw the dumb articles about a zelda movie being made by netflix all those years ago without even reading them or doing any actual research.
We have already had Zelda be an incredibly important part to the stories, there is more than one game where you don't beat the boss without her, OOT, TP, BOTW, TOK.... People acting like she has not been given enough spotlight is dumb. Hell, we got her in warriors and age of calamity.

You forgot one MAJOR piece in the potential game.
One of the demos in that Gamescom leak was.......... BOTK 4K. All these seems to be leaning toward that.
Im gonna talk a bit more about that tomorrow. Its something to consider for sure.
@@AndresRestart Right on. But IF this potentially true that's another launch/launch window game for Project OZ(Wizard aka DLSS). SO a 3D Mario or MK10, MP4 and a Zelda 4K Remaster? THAT right there is enough. Not to mention 3rd party games.
I wish we could just get one remastered ocarina of time.. like complete over hul souls like combat but a Zelda story I guess
god, i'm so glad that random people on youtube are not at the helm of the zelda series. being able to play as zelda would not make the game/franchise any more interesting. playing as zelda would also be missing the point- in almost all of the games, zelda is the mysterious, enigmatic princess who is often hidden during the story, or shows up unexpectedly. being able to play as zelda simply removes all of that mystery.
Just give us Zelda Twilight Princess HD for the Switch already!

New content for a Switch 2 BotW GotY edition?
If this is true and it's coming to the switch 2 console next year. I bet this new Zelda game for the switch 2 console will launch with the switch 2 console during the second half of next year or around the holiday season next year. Now the new Zelda game could be for the current switch consoles for this year Andres who knows. I am taking anything switch 2 related rumors and leaks on hardware and games like a grain of salt 🧂. The switch 2 is not happening this fiscal year Andres. We need a reveal trailer or announcement from Nintendo on the switch 2 first for this fiscal year. But it all depends on when Nintendo will announce or reveal the switch 2 this fiscal year.
Even if it’s true we are getting a Zelda playable game why would anyone think that it’s coming this year? Have people forgotten what’s coming next year? Have people forgot that they said TOTK was their last big game?

I'll be looking forward to a new Zelda game no matter what but why is there this trend of people demanding a playable Zelda? And how come it's "long overdue" in Papageno's words? I don't get it. Not that it can't happen but... is there really this "demand" among fans? It feels like a fashionable thing to say. It doesn't really add anything to the franchise aside from "look, here's your female hero". What fans really want, in my opinion, are things like proper and intricate dungeons with the power of current hardware, Majora's Mask level character studies and meaningful side-quests and a lived-in world. I imagine Zelda as a playable main character is pretty far down the actual priority list and is nothing more than an artificially hyped up gimmick. Like Waluigi in Smash.
A companion TOTK story where we have yet explored more of Zelda’s journey in the distant past as the Sage of Time is something I really wanted to see for a Legend of Zelda spinoff game.
Nintendo needs to make a sequel to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity to tie up loose ends TOTK left us. There is a chance Ganondorf exist in the alternate timeline Terrako has created.

I take that with a HUGE grain of salt. Maybe they'll release Hyrule Warriors starring Zelda during the Imprisonning War. I stopped watching Nintendo News. There's only speculation and doubtful rumors. It has been the same ''news'' for a year. And when something is not happening, nobody is honest and humble enough to say : ok, maybe I was wrong. There is always an annoying '' Yeahhhh Buuutttt.... ''. I'm a big Nintendo fan but we have to admit that since 2023, we act like childs.
I kind of want a sequel to the original Hyrule Warriors. Didn’t really like Age of Calamity that much since it was just another alternate timeline instead of a prequel to BOTW like it was marketed as.

Nintendo is expecting to sell 13 million units of the switch this fiscal year, I can see the Zelda game being announced and release this year with other Big games to reach that expectation.
