*Powder T-Zone prior to Foundation* . It was an exceptionally warm day for April in Upstate NY. I'm 56 and have a physically demanding job, decided to give your technique a try this morning. After skin prep, I used a light finger pressing of powder in my T-zone, then misted my face with a setting spray. I did my eyes and brows while this set down. I applied Wet-N- Wild Tinted Hydrator for foundation, bronzer and blush. Did a stipple more of powder and another mist of setting spray. I definitely worked up a sweat during the day, however, my face didn't "melt" away. I had normal shine break through but I looked "dewey" rather than my face my face fell apart. You are so beautiful and have stunning skin. Im a year away from 40, and don’t have the worst skin. Not the best, because as you said. I was always in the sun as child, teen to my late 20’s. A lot of sun, and very little sunscreen. Oh if i knew what i know now. But my face tends to have a red tone a lot of times, so thank you so much for the tricks & tips!

LASHES!!! Step-by-step application. Best drugstore and high end. Minimal lashes to give you that little extra pop and night on the down lashes. The best glue and tools and how to clean. Watching you use your eye shadows brings a tear to my eye. Every time I put on eyeshadow I wish it was a Makeup Geek. They were sooooo good. Thanks and love ya! Welcome to Texas 💕
So glad you mentioned Dermablend! I've been using it for centuries! Seriously, probably since the early 80s!! I don't know why more content creators don't mention that product!!! Great tutorial!!! I absolutely love tutorials like this! The best analogy that comes to mind is years back when I taught aerobic/group fitness classes, I felt pressured to come up with more and more new stuff bc I thought everyone was getting bored. That was not the case, for the most part! I was bored with myself but my ‘students’ weren’t! They were still loving the routines! The students were still struggling to keep up and changing so often just discouraged them. So all that said to say, WE’RE not bored with fabulous tutorials!!! Keep them coming!

With the eye application just to mention about where bouts you hold the brush the closer you hold it to the tip the more product you’re gonna lay down, great if you want to pack colour on but if you’re blending hold the brush further up you will get a much softer blended effect. Fab vid hun 💖

Hey girl, I just wanted to say thank you because a few days ago I watched your video about the way you can change the undertone of your foundation and I noticed this morning when I playing my foundation it looked a bit odd on my skin. I have a neutral or yellowish tone. I’m learning to identify it so I’m not sure which of the two I have but for sure I don’t have a pinkish undertone, which is how my foundation was looking so I did add a little bit of blue eyeshadow and it made a world of a difference. I’m so grateful for the steps, so I just wanted to come on here and say what a difference it made in the way my foundation looks, I love watching your videos the more you talk and the longer they are the better. Thanks again.
I'll be replaying this video with all my makeup in front of me. I need to freshen up my makeup application techniques, so THANK YOU for this video. I LOVE these tutorials~🥰❤
Marlena just letting you know I personally am so happy to have found your makeup originally and now your videos. They are so informative and greatly appreciated. As an adult I’ve had to learn how to truly blend makeup from my teenage girls. There taste is a bit different. Thank you for the help.😊
Marlena, you are the QUEEN 🙇♀️ You have remained authentic and are so incredibly talented. You are my holy grail RUclipsr. Never change and NEVER leave us!
You are super amazing, thanks for all your hard work. I turned 50 this year & lost interest in looking beautiful... after watching your channel again, it has inspired me to start care of myself again... thank you so much for not giving up & giving us hope again ❤❤❤
You are such a great teacher! Simple and to the point, but so thorough! I love listening to you! I am 78, trying to get back into makeup after many years (except for blush, mascara, lipstick). I cannot, for the life of me, get foundation and concealer to look like skin. Grrr. So frustrating for me, but I feel like, at my age, I need to do a bit covering up! Do you have suggestions, or maybe a tutorial? Thank you so much for your time and expertise!❤
So this foundation i LOVE on mature skin- I’m 43 and my mom is 69 and it looks great on both of us. It’s pricey though BUT a little goes a long way. The new Dior Totale Capsule foundation is incredible. Looks like skin. I got at Macys but see if you can get a sample and try first

Please keep doing these types of tutorials. I'm over 50 and have found some of your techniques are a fit for me. Ty

Yes, please do more tutorials. I learned a lot. Maybe next time a quicky makeup application tutorial, for weekends and out the door.
Marlena just letting you know I personally am so happy to have found your makeup originally and now your videos. They are so informative and greatly appreciated. As an adult I’ve had to learn how to truly blend makeup from my teenage girls. There taste is a bit different. Thank you for the help.😊
Marlena, you are the QUEEN 🙇♀️
You have remained authentic and are so incredibly talented. You are my holy grail RUclipsr. Never change and NEVER leave us!
Best video on makeup. Ever. I rarely leave comments on RUclips but you deserve it girl, thank you so much for this comprehensive tutorial! ❤
I got at Macys but see if you can get a sample and try first
Thank you so much! I will certainly do and let you know!
@@dianeparks9475It has been 7 months now. Did you get one and tried? I want to know the results.
