I’m not gonna lie, if Rodney ever stops teaching “how to play” videos, that may very well be the day I stop playing new games..🤣 Rodney, you are absolutely amazing at teaching videos and I’d also like to say a big thanks to everyone that helps as I’m sure there are a lot of people behind the scenes doing great things as well. Hats off to you and your team!!
Well then, I'd better keep it up! Thanks for the very kind words about the work Eric (it's just me working on the tutorial videos, but the team does all the work on our other videos, to be sure!). Your kind kudos truly mean a lot! -Rodney
Looks visually beautiful, and as usual with Knizia games meaningful but simple and fast turns, really nice. Thanks for the awesome how to play video as usual
After watching a bunch of your videos, you have the perfect mix of everything. Enthusiasm, clarity, humor, video quality. All I can say is thanks! As a youth pastor, I've sent my leaders to your videos before they come and teach games to my students. SO easy to understand.
Really looking forward to using this for family game day. Hopefully the pre-order ships promptly, it's still over a month away from release on Amazon. I think it'll be worth the wait.
Good teach, as always. I'm practicing my "Rodney Flip" of the box, and the "Rodney Spin" of the lid as I place it on the box. I'm not as smooth but I'm working on it.
Hey Rodney, great video! Quick question. What’s the reasoning for removing two tiles 15:26 and placing them on the clan board? I’ve might have missed this part in the video.
(somehow my earlier comment vanished?) Hey Rodney, got my copy yesterday and thought I should do a how to play in German. I searched for other how to play: Good thing my favourite explainer already uploaded a few hours ago :) Btw: My Dune: Uprising Video does wonders for me, which I used your video as blue print for. It´s already most viewed with a ton of new subs for it. Thanks :) Love from Germany, Markus
That’s more of a strategy/design question, than a rules question, so I’d hesitate to try to answer that until I had played many, many more times. Perhaps it helps to consider that any tile can be a high value tile. If you don’t have your 4 icon settlement, you might think of that as a high value tile, but a farm you put in an arrangement that scores 6 other farms is high value too. You might even win a settlements highest points with a low icon settlement tile.
@@beccidoubleday If you have tiles other than what I’ve shown in the video, those are probably the extras that were on the sheet during manufacturing, and aren’t needed for play.

Absolutely agree -- there's some other good ones out there, but Rodney is the best in my book. Kudos!
Thank you for all these how to play
You're very welcome - thank you for checking them out :)

Very kind of you to say - thanks for checking it out Skarpo!
I was looking at my copy yesterday, and thought "Hang on, there's no "How to play" video yet" 😊 perfect timing
You summoned it into existence!
I'm awaiting my copy of this game. I thank you kindly for the teach. You always make it easy to assimilate the rules!
Very kind of you to say, I hope you don't have to wait too long, and you have a great time playing!

Thanks for passing them along - glad to know they've been helpful. I see you fell down the board game rabbit hole too :)
@@WatchItPlayed I have! It is a delightful place! 🤣

Someone has to take over. You may be the successor!

It's not directly explained in the rules either - my take away was that it gives you some information about what ISN'T on the board.
Thanks!

I don't see another copy of this comment, so maybe it didn't go through? Either way, thanks for the kind words :)
If the tiles placed onto the player board during setup are high value tiles, does it put the player at a disadvantage since they cannot use it?

If this 10:54 situation orange plays last then how many points will blue have?
If Orange played last, they lose ties, so Blue scores first place for 8 points and Orange scores second place for 5 points.
@WatchItPlayed Thank You for the answer and great video
@ You’re very welcome!
18:28 is that a doubling tile or a Dublin tile?
Doubling :)
Do you plan to do undergrove any time soon?
Thanks for the interest! I talk a bit about that here: ruclips.net/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/видео.html&t=342
what do the blank tiles do?

Wait...4 players?
Not 2?
You are changing it up this time.
Can't become TOO predictable :)
Firms and Farms? Is that a valid Form? We should hold a forum.
Oh dear...
