I had a lizard 10 go up in flames, but i knew furitek would fix the issue and come out with something better. Looks like this might be it. How are the temps after a decent run? Also just wanted to say that i love and appreciate your reviews! Thank you for your contributions to the rc community, my Brotha!
Nice package. The motor and ESC seem to work real well together. I really like the housing on the ESC but I agree it would be nice if they put the Bluetooth module, capacitor and such in the same enclosure or maybe a separate one that snaps or plugs into the ESC enclosure. No wires would be cool but technology hasn't quite got there yet.
I think they might be getting better because they just sent me another brand new motor ESC which is like a couple hundred dollars value I mean obviously I had to prove that something was wrong and I just sent them a short video
I burnt 2 Mini Godzilla and had stripped gears in the Stellar trans. They replaced 1 mini and 1 trans. I haven't asked for the second motor, don't want to push my luck...
Fusions have taken over, with their simplicity. Outrunner capable ESC's are not all the same or smooth. Like Castle is loud as hell and have the weakest drag brake. Rhino/am32 one's are decent but a pain to setup, having to use a laptop. The first furitek lizard 10 was prone to over heating and burning up. Hopefully this one is better
Idk, I still haven't found anything I like as much as the Hobbywing AXE FOC combo (NOT the 2n1/fusion). Durable as hell, all the power in the world, and definitely the slowest and smoothest crawlability I've seen so far. That chattering in the video seems to be a common issue with furitek systems, my furitek system in my scx24 has some really bad cogging between 12% and 20% throttle on 3s, sounds very similar
@demoths The hobbywing axe ESC can only run their hobbywing specific motors for it though, right? Honestly the Fusions are amazing man, I've got them in 4 of my trucks currently lol. Less weight without the separate ESC and all the wiring, take up less room. Does go extremely slow and still has the power to do anything needed. I've wanted to try some outrunner setups for a while, just didn't like the noise of the castles or their lack of drag brake, and how finicky the am32 style ones are with setup. The Holmes ESC's have improved but they're more of a drone style ESC, and some servos manufacturers warn against using their servos with Holmes ESC's. I heard they've got better, and I could always run a BEC if needed. Most my servos are direct power anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue.
@@TheAmericanUhate yeah, the brand specific thing is definitely the major drawback of the axe system, especially considering the fact that the V1 and V2 are not cross compatible. But for outright performance, I've yet to find anything I like as much. I haven't tried the 1/10th scale furitek stuff, but have heard some things about their early stuff burning up, and while the issues with my micro stuff from them hasn't been totally disheartening, it's still more issues than I've had with other systems
I didn’t. It didn’t seem to effect the performance. I did a bunch of slow tests on the bench. My guess is it’s a byproduct of the sensor maintaining rotor position.
My sensorless brushless combo with a SMP out runner in my scx24 has a similar issue between 12% and 20%, seems to be an issue with the firmware in furitek escs
I get two Homes Hobbies crawler esc last long half a year the other one year under wet crawler conditions (river rock crawling) and burn down ! I will never never get a homes ESC again! My Fusion work like a Submarine till two years! Holmes ESC very good but not realy waterproof!

I’ve had a Tagu since it was released. It’s still working flawlessly. I’d be confident putting this in my 1/10.
With the ability to take 4s, and built in Bluetooth, this combo is in a class of its own with that $155 price tag for the combo!
I couldn't agree with you more you hit it right on the head there ain't no system out that it really runs for a sister I mean maybe a couple

I ordered the same motor ESC combo Hope it'll fit in the vanquish vs 410

WOW!!!!! THAT LOOKS REALLY GREAT!!!!! THAT'S FANTASTIC "OFFROAD TERRAIN"!!!! WHEREABOUTS IS THIS LOCATION??...
Great intro to the Furitek ESC. I'm curious on your chassis rails and panhard mount, it looks pretty awesome, where did you get that?

Looks like a great option. Great location.
If you unplug the power switch at the harness connector the ESC powers up when battery is connected.
Yes, thank you for pointing it out. I tried that out and meant to mention it in closing.
you are lucky to have access to this crawl spot
Its been some time since this video was released, i would like to know how the longevity of the python x is doing? Is it really worth it?
How is the Python x now? Still working good?
This looks neat!
How would this system work on a 9.8lb ring
The webpage for the Python X says the power button is removable.
What do you have to do to get it to work on 3s i plugged a 3s battery into m I ne and it did nothing.
I freakin love it...the problem though is that its made by Furitek ......had not so exceptional experience with their CS 😏

@@Gibsonlife573 good for you 👍

Can i put this in a trx4?
Yes, but if you’re using some of Traxxas’s lighting systems you may need to figure out how to rerun your light power leads.
awesome, thanks for the reply!@@rcdriver
What gearing?
at this point everything is so smooth that u run who ur sponsored by. nothing is better than the other

Very good 👍🤩
Did you find out if the chatter was normal?

Nothing is better than a Holmes Hobby crawler esc. Nothing.
I love Holmes systems, but this is absolutely another very worthy option.
