      @@warrenbennettgolfacademy warren, so i got to hit some balls with your drill and it seems to make the lower body move correctly and get the bottom of the swing arc more forward and in front of the ball a bit. i've always struggled with that concept and if i happened to take a divot after the ball or a divot at all it was more of a fluke. this seems to help with that. i had seen this before years ago in one of my first golf books but passed it by, maybe it was over my head at the time. old wisdom rings true i guess, again thnx.

    Great video Warren.while practice drop the arms and hands to the ball do we keep right hip back? thanks

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  Год назад +1

      It’s very hard to say without seeing you but in principle there is a fraction of a delay in the transition when we fire the trailing side. Having this slight delay will allow the arms to come out, so to answer your question, definitely when you are doing any rehearsal swings.

    Warren did I hear you correctly. “There should be no tension”? Wanted to make sure that I heard you correctly.

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  Год назад

      There is good and bad tension, you obviously need to create some pressure in your grip in the right places so you have control of the club head during impact, but I’m talking about the tension that make everything rigid, so I would especially in any exercises lean towards softness rather than gripping tightly so everything can flow.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi Warren, I have been practicing your “tea tray” exercise and it has really changed my swing, however, this video seems to contradict the flatness of the swing?

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  Год назад

      Hi Ray.
      Not at all mate, you can still blend a shallow move into this exercise most definitely but this is a feel to blend it all together, especially the follow through Ray. I just can't give the golfer everything in one video otherwise it will be too complicated mate.
      Will be doing a video very soon about how to shallow and then release.
      Take care mate.

    How about shifting weight in downswing? Do I have to think about?

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  Год назад +1

      Yes most definitely, I will explain that there has to be a shifting of the weight off the rear foot/leg and onto the left during the movement.
      Hope that helps.

    The only drill you will ever need? Absolutely not!
    I have played golf for over 45 years and found that perhaps the number one drill is to roll my butt behind the wall.
    Teach that and you will soon have your students rolling their buttocks with their chest following their behind. The feel becomes unmistakably real and it improved my swing accuracy overnight. Cheers

      @@warrenbennettgolfacademy very interesting.
      Yes I am a firm believer that my upper body must follow my behind. If you get what I mean. Ha ha.
      Actually you showing your students the various positions the arms hands and so forth at various points of a golf swing is fine. But I know that in all great golf swings the upper body must follow the lower body and never the lower body to follow the upper body. Cheers
