- Destiny 2's latest Raid Race starts today! Today we head down to the Hellmouth to take down Crota one last time for Season of the Witch. For years Destiny 1 veterans have gone on and on about the armor from this raid, more specifically the Age of Triumph armor, and finally we'll be able to acquire it in Destiny 2! But is the Crota's End armor good? Is it all hype? That's what we'll be discussing in today's video. Good luck with all of the revamped encounters guardians!

As someone who joined during season 16 I can confirm that this set is not just nostalgia
Also, I think it would look good with solstice strand ornaments(necrotic grips+grasp of avarice bond+crotas chestpiece+solstice hood(magnificent)+ghosts of the deep boots)

There’s multiple armor sets and some armor pieces have 3 ornaments while some have 2 and the rest have 1

Deathsinger armor was the very thing that got me into this franchise.
I’ve been a titan main since D1 and the titan set has always been one of my favorite armor sets in the entire franchise

Too bad Bungie didn't have a vault of glass Age of Triumph set that was also unique and detailed.
Would like to see both with and without spike sets. This gives us more options to make some custom looks. Like not everything fits with all those glowing spikes.
But love the armor though

I was never really a the biggest fan of Hive stuff. The Eliksni, Vex, and Cabal always interested me more with their different takes on advanced technology, but as the story has progressed, I have begun to appreciate both the Hive's story and their aesthetic more and more. Now, nearly a decade after I started playing, I actually want to dress in Hive chitin and wield my blade to serve the Sword Logic.
My very first drop for this raid was the warlock chest piece, the armor piece i wanted the most. Awesome
Reactive armor just sounds like a neat idea in general tbh xD

hunter cloak spikes with solstice helmet spikes is gonna be a crazy combo haha
I was really hoping we could get both sets
the glow is unchangeable, but queen's colors shader looks pretty good with it
Cloak needs to be changed into other colors, but queen’ colors is pretty good on other parts
I honestly wish the hunter cloak had glows like a moth wing pattern instead of the horns.
5:51 honestly that’s what I loved about this raid’s Age of Triumph set, Vault of Glass’, and King’s Fall’s sets too. The idea of going through the vault of glass, you armor gets damaged, so you put some vex armor on, or the Hunter loses a leg, and fully replaces it with a vex one
I don't get why they didn't bring back the AoT sets for the other reprised raids. Seems kinda random for them to bring back the AoT set and make it the default set for this raid. Not that I'm complaining, I much prefer it to the base set but... yeah. Makes me wonder what the Wrath of the Machine armor will be once they bring that one back.
The hunter legs are nice, I enjoy legs that offer knives or swords. Very rare
Kinda wish we got the base set back and armors good just might not use the chest on titan since they made the undersuit way thicker than the prodigal set
Just gonna grab the Warlock Robes after contest mode. I always loved the base Armor more than when they reissued this set we got.

Honestly i think i made one amazing look with the warlock armor and all i have is tbe helmet and the robes. Literally the 2 best peices.
I used deasingers gaze helm with erebos glance shader, gloves of the taken king with gambit jadestone, deathsongers mantle chest with gambit jadestone, swarmers exotic legs with gambit jadestone (only because of my strand build lol), and lastly the corrupting echo bond with erebos glance (alternatively bond of the wormlore with gambit jadestone works wonders too)
Finished the raid yesterday and I got th3 warlock chest piece and the helmet. 100% the best looking set for the warlock annnndd yes the set looks even better with the necrotic grips
D1 classic I love the armor wish it could be armor sets that could be bought
This armor along with the aot wraith armor and top 5 armor sets from destiny 1 and 2
I hope the glows are optional some sets might benefit more from the glow being off then on all the time
For Warlock armor, I think the Ghost of the Deep gloves would look good with the Crota's End armor, especially with the flowing water effect on the cloth with the right shader.
For the boots however; its a tough call because there are no boots that really stand out the most, the Ghost of the Deep has the flowing water effect again, but the shader interactions are not that great. King's Fall boots just doesn't have a lot to desire in terms of design in my opinion, but if you can't decide between either for the hive look, that's fine.
Finally for the Warlock Bond, you gotta go with the King's Fall Bond.

I do kinda wish you could change the colour of the effects tho like imagine the look of some gold/yellow horns
One thing i wish bungie did was alow us to change the glow im telling you, this armor + the garden armor would be hella bad ass

If I do the raid but gonna do my warlock first cause never gotten the warlock armor so want to get that first
Titan… only the mark, unless I can figure out how to add the helm to some other set that works with the glows.

100% think the base armor should of been the drop for the normal raid and the age of triumph armor drop from a Prestige version.
I kinda agree with this.
The fact the Glows are not working with Shaders, kinda ruins it for a lot of Fashion.
The Spikes overall just really limit us to only specific Sets,
The overall Fashion with the AoT Versions is incredibly limited, and this is the one time I hoped we'd get the Normal Version.
I got the robes, I just need the helmet :3
How did you get it ?
What I thought was a letdown was during the showcase. You saw a few secs of VoG and Kings Fall, but they could've added the players with those raid age of triumph sets to show that it's not just Crota getting the age of triumph sets
I really wish they gave us the base sets. This is way too over the top and does change colours with anything. What I liked about D1 is that we had the option to choose the base or ornament version.
I wish the AoT version was in the master mode and the base was in normal mode.

I still wish that the regular armour came back too and master gave us the glowing armour i love the chest peice and boots for the hunter but do not like the green glows tbh

Really cool sets but I hope they aren't just a copy and paste. They should tweak it and update it a bit.

Can confirm it's still cool, but they definitely changed stuff (at least for hunter since that's all I play. And this is based on the female version) the pants are weirdly more baggy? (Or loose I guess) the chest piece is wider and flat (more reminiscent of the male version) the arms are thee same as the legs, weirdly large/loose for the sleeves and the cloaks glowy bits are a tad dialled down. The mask is ok. Again it's still pretty cool but would've much preferred if it was just the exact version as D1's
And the Armor Glow not only does not accept shaders, but is also more Green, than it was in D1.
Warlock is the best titan second and hunter last and this is coming from a hunter main I would really like the glow to be on all pieces not just one side it makes me so mad
Warlock just needs oil glow on legs and the set would be perfect

I’ve used the Crota Warlock armor since Crota came out in D1 and then being able to grind for the ornaments in age of triumph and now 7-8 years later being able to grind for the same set again is just so nostalgic and satisfying especially since I’m getting my D1 look back
Imagine bungie making reactive armor in their older game but not in their newer one 🤣 but they added AE 😂 bruh, the wasted potential is maddening

Yeah I see that warlock helmet, and all it reminds me of is Grove, The scaly porn game. I don't think that's the pinnacle of warlock fashion. I'll admit some of the features are cool I guess. But for me the pinnacle of Destiny 1 fashion was the taken armor sets.
The glow and modified model on the warlock set are tacky and ruin the set. Too extra, lacks subtlety.
Honestly im not really intrigued by the Hunter at all.
Honestly I'm sick of bungie putting good looking armor behind pay walls or having them drop through their patented shitty RNG...
The armour is meh compared to some of the other stuff we have gotten in D2.

I’ve already got a full dragon trials set for my warlock. Why the fuck would o play this “new” lazy copy and paste. Armor looks ok but it’s no dragon.
