Thanks. He's 8, turning 9 in April. Pretty tall kid, so I'll go 29. Thanks for reply. Was leaning towards 29 but was thinking maybe 30".

Gabe Bunn yes, I would definitely go 29 then. He can choke up for a little bit and then he can use it for another year too

thanks for replies. Just wanted to make sure before I ordered, IF i can find one. As usual, this is the ONE he wants and the ONLY onr I can't find in stock. HA HA. I registered for an alert on justbats a few days back, so maybe they'll get some back in stock. THANKS

Can you possibly do a video on open field bp, cages are so misleading and who cares about swing speed, people are lost in thinking that every pitch and every swing is the same, thanks

Planning to post some soon. Hard to get the field angles given the local backstop setups (can't get a camera behind) so they will be side angled though. We do have a few other swing speed videos coming too =) ... sorry!

how big is your kid, age and size? I have an 8 year old and am trying to decide between this and the 29'" when they get back in stock. THANKS

Gabe Bunn mine is 8 and swings 28. He is average weight. If your player is really strong maybe 29 but otherwise I recommend 28

You still like the Solo 618? Finding it in stock is getting hard.

Gabe Bunn I think it is hard to find because it was probably unexpectedly popular for Louisville slugger. We were lucky enough to buy one had a local sporting good store a while back when everyone online was sold out. I would definitely register at just bats.com to see if you can get one once they get it in stock, but once they alert you, they go superquick. Another good bat is the Louisville Omaha. It’s a bit heavier but you could get it and then shorter if you want it. The barrel size looks actually a little bigger than the 618.
