- At IAAPA 2018, Intamin announced what might be the best looking LSM launch coaster ever designed. It is a coaster enthusiasts dream, and is making its way to France in 2021! This is my full in depth analysis of this unamed ride.

Correction: There are 3 inversions instead of two. Cutback, Zero G Stall, and Heartline roll. I'm good at coasters, not math. That is all, carry on.
Relatable lol
Classic Taylor
Coaster Studios "I am good at coasters, not math" 😂😂😂
I noticed that, thanks for the correction!
I'm good at coasters and math.
Intamin just decided to make rollbacks an element..... smart.
Genius
the new things is you actually making it over the top hat the first time.
A roll over
Super Ky yes! 😂
Rollbacks! Now featured on your favorite strata coasters (by design 😉)
Ian8lisle ya they’re definitely not supposed to make it over that 400+ft hill😂😂
Intamin is on a roll. This coaster looks amazing.
Yeah, a heartline roll. ^^
Hang on is this my homie on steam I’m zrgattk
Ik it will be extremely safe but the switch track terrifies me
@@evanyoung6993 Yea it does. I´m not sure ow they´ll do that. Maybe there will be a break between the top head and the switch or on the top head itself ? I don´t know...
This is like a launched RMC Maverick!
So glad there’s no over shoulder restraints. No need for them. Wish they’d remove them from maverick.
Much agree there! The new Intamin lap bars and seat are great, too - leaving a really good sense of freedom.
I think what makes changing restraints on Maverick more difficult is potential clearance envelope issues and the cost of replacing restraints (or even whole trains). But yes, new Intamin lap-bars would do wonders for Maverick :)
@The Hawk Not necessarily. A good seat design (especially the shape of the backrest) can allow for very twisty transitions without over the shoulder harnesses. DC Rivals is a good example of that ;)
I don’t think it would work well for maverick, with the insane transitions, without the vests you would be slamming into your neighbor and that isn’t something that you want to happen
"For me the saddest part about it is that it's all the way in France", funny cause that's my favorite part about this awesome looking coaster, it's a 15 minute drive away from my house, I can't wait!!!
Intamin make some of the fastest switch track out there. Just look at thirteen at alton towers, and that was 8 years ago. I'm confident intamin can pull this off.
SkeledroMan it will definitely be safe but the switch track still terrifies me
Omg this is totally one of the most insane coasters I’ve seen in a long time. I also loved the analysis on it Taylor! You always do such a great job with these and I also like it because you’re not even that made that you made a mistake in the video! :) Look forward for more awesome videos from you in the future! :D
So happy and surprised for this ride to come to France
Excellent and comprehensive analysis as usual Taylor!
I hope the short Parc Astérix we shared with you were able to help. As French enthusiasts it's such a treat our parks finally get noticed with a top notch addition!
Keep up the great work ;)
Philippe
Parc asterix is an amazingly themed park, in my mind it's already a must for enthusiasts. I'm so excited it's getting an intamin
I am really happy that Parc Astérix will be getting its first Intamin coaster (and the first one in any of the Compagnie des Alpes parks I believe except WH back when it was a SF park).
Very excited for the future of this park, they've got a lot of potential and a crap ton of land to work with
Name confirmed: steel vengeance 2
I'm french and I'm so glad to see a coaster like that came in my country. I want to ride this now!
Wow...just saw an animated POV someone did and it looks insane. First thing I did was check your channel! I prob cant afford to go to Europe till 2021 so this works out. Crazy ride. My mind was blown when it fell back and went up a tower that wasnt just there...not having any idea about the ride that was a surprise to say the least. I agree Intamin will be able to pull it off but it makes me nervous as well.
I live in france and parc Astérix is my home park, i came to this park since 2009 and i came every year since then, i saw the evolution of this park and I'm very excited to see that its start to get his name in the theme park industry. I cant wait for that beast to open XD
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for a quality analysis for Thanksgiving.
thanks Intamin to show up what France is able to have as coasters, can’t wait to try this and see more than French GP in my home park
This ride looks awesome. You're absolutely right, they definitely look like they were inspired by RMC with these new coasters they are putting out, but I'm sure not complaining! Hope one of these gets made in the US eventually because I'm way too broke to go ride them in Europe, unfortunately. Either way, it's great to see how coasters are evolving and how the companies that make them are getting inspiration from one another in order to compete and create an even better coaster than the last.
Great video! This ride will truly be mind-blowing :)
That looks crazy! When it opens I´ll realy have to go there! Luckily I live in Germany, so it´s not that far away...
I can already hear the screams as the train slowly makes it over that top hat. This ride is gonna be awesome to look at.
The restraints on this coaster and the one on walibi belguim's coaster actually look really comfertable! Let's hope it stays like that!
This looks like such an awesome ride!
I hope you visit Parc Astérix in the future. I went in 2014, and my favourite roller coaster there was Oziris. The park itself is based after a famous graphic novel series called Astérix and Obelix, I definetly recommend them.
That anticipation stall will probably work the same way the Kennywood Sky Rocket top hat stall works. But much more rewarding.
I think it's funny that the Walibi Belgium Mega is in the thumbnail instead of this. lol
I said it before and I'll say it again: this looks like the best coaster ever created.
Intamin already has some crazy fast switch tracks - take a look at Soaring with Dragon for example. I bet they can pull it off
Glad to see more zero g stalls, that's my favorite element on twisted colossus
Im going to parc asterix this summer and then i hear about this! Ooooh Boy.
It’s kinda neat to see how many similar elements are on Pantheon at BGW
This coaster looks incredible :D
Feel Welcome to stay at our place , because in 2021 another (probably Intamin) coaster is opening at the Efteling (10 min from our place) Brussels is 2 hours and Parc Asterix is 4 hors away .. Cee Yah !
@@CoasterCupcake That's their 2020 kiddie coasters replacing the Bob. They are also getting an Intamin Family Launch Coaster for 2021 as part of a new expansion area.
These are the 2 coasters planned for 2020
@@cslkenny really again a family coaster...
I love this channel!
for that switch track they probably have such a long track before the top hat for emergency brakes
Best parts: Trick track outerbank hills, 101 degree drop, outerbank wave hill, zero g stall, wave turn and the heartline roll
To be fair, Parc Astérix does have Tonnerre de Zeus which is an amazing woodie with tons of turns and airtime and Oziris is a great B&M inverted. It has some other cool stuff but tbh if I didn't live in Paris I prob wouldn't have bothered going to it. I do really enjoy the Bobsled coaster and some of the water rides though.
Holy guacamole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This looks insane
Looks SICK
Wow, Intamin is going to make 3 new coasters in 2021 in Europe. What a time to live.
I'm really hoping that American parks will take notice of what Intamin is doing here and consider bringing something similar to the states. I feel like we haven't seen a big Intamin coaster here since Skyrush and that was almost 7 years ago
Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2020 :D
@@Theme-Park-Kingdom That would be an awesome addition
Pantheon.
@@BD97lol so 3 years later are you happy with what we got? Lol
I hope it works out, but am very skeptical as far as major down time and capacity when it's actually running.
I'm affraid of heights, but if I have to choose I'd rather be launched then pulled up a lifthill ;-) Both fantastic coasters and Pantheon is the big test to see if this switch track is going to be a problem!
now its 2021 and they are starting construction, planning to open it in 2023
Will part of that second launch be going over an airtime hill?
So glad my home park is going to get this
So glad it goes to my homepark
this looks insane
I'm guessing the 2021 time table is so they can fine tune that switch track
From a safety point of view, I think they need rollback brakes next to the LSMs, similar to Dragster, so if for any reason that transfer switch doesn’t work they can stop the train on the launch before it hits the transfer
Themeparkguy I agree. Honestly I think the fast switch track seems a little sketch. (I’m not gp)
This just solidified my opinion that Intamin is the best manufacturer
Intamin has a pretty high speed transfer track on Soaring with Dragon so hopefully they've had time to fine tune any bugs!!
ruclips.net/video/uYzWqA2mANI/видео.html (track switch at 0:24)
That last heartline roll makes me think of the removed Maverick roll 🤔
For the swithc track there is probably an emergency brake system
Looks like Taron in the beginning (low to the ground elements), Panthoen in the middle (top hat) and Velocicoaster at the end (zero g-stall) to me.
Really hoping the multi launch coming to BGW in 2020 is similar to this
It is gonna be very similar
Will it be red and white as on the animation?
So I'm sure it will be safe, but from an engineering perspective I'm really curious about how these switch tracks deal with the possibility of failure in the switching mechanism while the ride is in motion. Do they have emergency brakes that will stop the train if the switch doesn't complete in time?
THis is my kind of coaster!
moi je dis cocorico
FRENCHE TOTCH MAGUEULE xD
The Mega Coaster and the Launch Coaster is like 2 Legendary Pokemon in each version exclusive 😆😆
Pokémon Walibi and Asterix
Did they design Maverick at C.Point ?
Maybe you could do france, belgium and poland in 2021
4:26 what about taiga at linnanmaki
RMC creates new amazing elements and new airtime experiences and are the fastest growing/ most Innovative manufacturer. Most of the european manufacturers stunned, Intamin hold my beer, I got 2021 covered.
100% like ratio, amazing.
what about a beyond vertical airtime hill?
Is intamin ever coming back to America?
When this video was uploaded I was still in middle school and had a high voice now I'm a senior in high school about to leave and this thing still ain't open 😂
wow thats wild
Here is a name for it Kickass. Oh btw Have a happy thanksgiving Taylor to you and your family
Knowing this park, they would find some way to have it end in -ix or -us, depending on where they put the theming
@@insertcolorherehawk3761 Mix those endings together and you get ToutatIS
I love how manufacturers don't usually copy an element, they always throw their twist on it
when is this opening is it just somewhere in 2023
Cool!
You're first!
Yeah!
Next year!
Glad I live in Paris ! Ps : if you ever go to parc Astérix, say when, ill try to find you xD
Taylor, which one do you think will be better? This or Pantheon?
This 100%
BGW is actually said to be getting an even larger version of this in 2020!
With less elements
Insane f*cking layout. Bravo!
I am hoping so much that vortex kings island gets replace by something by intamin. If i am right then you HAVE to ride front row with me on that ride. :)
I live in France so this isn't a sad point for me xDD
Wich on is better this of the mega
My Home park yesssss
They put that style of switch on hagrids
I’m concerned about the heart line roll. If you didn’t know! Maverick originally had a Hartline roll but they removed it because the stress on the trains. So I’m kind of worried about this one
It's not like Intamin never did a heartline roll after Maverick. So they prob know what they're doing
Jari Lam yeah I’ve realized thT
Both new Intamin coasters are like 3h drive apart
Dope
Still 2021 ? or later ?
Can we just mention the AIRTIME HILL LAUNCH?
Parc asterix has announced that they are going to re-open tonnere the zeus (their custom coasters woodie) for the 2021 season, so this project is delayed to 2022. Parc asterix is owned by compagnie des alpes wich is the same company that owns walibi holland, and they just opened rmc robin hood *untamed*. So there are some speculations about it going to a RMC, because of that a dutch themeparknews website phoned RMC and they said that they can't deny that they are involded in this project. Wich makes room for the possibility of it being an RMC. If that happens to be the case, parc asterix could have one of the best top 2's in europe or even the world! So lets wait for maverick 2.0 and untamed 2.0 :)
I heard they were only retracking it in some areas for now (from my last visit I saw they redid the first drop and curve), but if they do end up converting it into a RMC, I'll be very happy.
@@aMazeInGPros They currently retracking the ride piece by piece, season by season. I think it's Gravity Group who's in charge.
That high speed switch track has me worried 😧. Knowing Intamin is known for problems, I hope there is a safety in place in case that track don’t switch when it’s supposed to. Looks cool tho.
When expedition Everest meets intimidator 305, cheats on it with Maverick, names the kid after hangtime, then the kid hooks up with expedition g force. You get this.
Aren’t there 3 inversions because of that stall
Galaxy-pokeboy 23 I thought this
You're right, I left that one out. I'm a coaster major, not a math major!
Haha
So you think this will be better then the mega coaster?
honestly I don't know which looks better. They both look absolutely insane.
Roller Coaster Crazy it will probably be up to preference
I also don t know
Guys...I'm thinking this or something very similar is what Busch Gardens Williamsburg is getting! This looks soooo incredible!
This looks to be a mashup of Mack, Gerstlauer, and RMC!
Could there be rollbacks in the top hat?
every time. It rolls back every time.
What would happen to the train if the switch track failed?
Bruh ur gp
I think this coaster has a chance of being the best coaster in the world.
can you call and round it up to 70 mph
