I subscribed after seeing you and Gabe cook oysters. I just hope you will post many, many more videos. You have a lot to offer as you are definitely a responsible outdoors man. I assume you live in Palatka, one of my favorite towns in the state. I used to drive a truck, delivering groceries to the Save a Lot store there. It always looked like such a friendly little town.
Your video was very good. You had a nice catch. Oh I so want to go crabbing. My traps are hanging out in the garage. One of these days I will get to go as soon as I can spare some time.
Hello. Saw you for the first time catching shrimp with Bluegabe. I thank it. It's pretty cool what you do. Keep the great content 👌 coming!! New subscriber.
Made it all the way to the end brother! Just know what an inspiration you and your family are! Normal working feller out there living his life and bringing a camera for some of it!! Love you guys and I’ll be waiting for the next one!!!
Great video! You earned my subscription simply by calling them GILLS. I mean, I cringe when I watch other videos where people call them “lungs”. 🤯😫 Looking forward for more awesome vids! 😎👍🏽

Nice wholesome family fun and educational for people to watch. Now I have to say that Old Bay seasons are fine with Crab and other seafood. Personally I love the roasted garlic butter! I always find your videos entertaining and enjoy the content.
Not for nuthin but Ive been watching your content for a while and have concluded that I wanna be YOU when I grow up…problem is I’m probably 25 years your senior! Great content brother! 👍
Good for you Tug, you are making memories with Your family! (And your subscribers) Slot of men would have Bypassed the family in place of a buddy! Keep it up, Tug!!!!!
Another awesome video Tug! Seeing all those smiles from the 3 of you is infectious! The roasted garlic trick is great. How long did you roast for. Yummy! Your dog is too cute!
I also Subbed too you after I watched you and Blue Gabe put out a video. I like your content especially the Crabbing one`s but I watch them all. Enjoyed it Tug
Love your videos! I'm the Soldier from Kuwait. Just getting back to the states. Hope to maybe plan a charter with ya or something if that offer still stands :)
First, I would like to say that I love the channel. I don't know if it's the same with crab traps as it is with crayfish or minnow traps, but I to soak my traps to get the new off them before I get a good trap full. Keep up the great vids.
Hey brother keep up the great job I’m from MD but the way I feel about it is a crab is a crab n there all great stay safe out there stay strong GOD BLESS you n yours
im sooo jealous, you and your wife are doing this together, i lost my husband a few months ago, we would have had so much fun together, like you guys. cherish every minute together.
Those tiny crustaceans are amphipods…..or pods for short. If you ever get into reef tank keeping, you learn they’re really good to have. Fish and even some soft corals love them.
I love crabs but us folks in NJ steam them whole with Old Bay along with 1 beer and as my dad said you have to clean how to clean and eat them. I don't like crabs already cleaned. We used crab traps with chicken or squid
Blue crabs are my favorite food. I could eat them every day. Plus you live in my most favorite place to go to. I would rather go to St. Augustine then to DW
I use to crab commercially in the 80's and the best bait you can get is bluefish , if there's any small fish in the area they will eat the fatback out of the traps . With your red traps try closing the openings up more , they can't eat and crawl back out as easy
Ah yes, a big pot of crabs is hard to beat. I would say something about taking the pot outside to a cooker there. Get them all red for dumping out on a newspaper covered plywood sheet laid over a pair of saw horses. But it's waaaaaay too hot to be eating steamed crabs outside. At least it is currently. Hope you don't mind me having a good trip down memory lane seeing these videos you have here.
That is way I make these videos! I love to hear it brings folks back to a good memory. On a side note this was the first video I ever made! I wonder how much better I’ve gotten at video or if they are still pretty much the same?
@@TugTrashOutdoors Quality has gone up quite a fair bit, which I'd say was from confidence and getting relaxed. First and early videos always seem to have a nervous energy in them where you speak quickly. Try to say way too much in a single breath but end up a little frustrated and or flustered as mispronunciation and missed shots compound. Since then, it's like you breathed out so you can focus more what you want to say rather than saying it all and explaining even more of what was said. Not gonna blow smoke, found your videos through BlueGabe. His are nice yes, but yours have the feel that if some decisions were made differently in my life. I could be in your shoes. Familiar is what I'm getting at. Much of what you show is the same things my friends and I did near daily back in the mid nineties. Cept we had a lot less money and boat access, but that didn't keep us from being able to line pull crabs. Fish or hunt. We made three crab pots using chicken wire, linesman pliers, hog rings and a fair number of hose clamps. Oh and I don't know how many cuts from sharp wire ends. Even after we painted on epoxy to keep it from rusting to bits inside a month. If you're wanting a idea for a video, and while it might be dull. See if you can locate a dredging dump area, where sand and whatever else is dumped on shore. Go in with a sifter to how many shark teeth and whatever else you can find. We did that with my dad back then, found enough shark teeth to fill half a six gallon bucket, so many fish weights, civil war bullets and solid cannon balls. Used to have a few anchors and links of anchor chain that we suspected were made into a sort of armor for wood hull ships during the war of Northern aggression. Many moves later found hauling nearly a ton of rusty chains, anchors and whatnot to be more work than benefit. Ah well, all the coulda and woulda in the world of hindsight.
@@TugTrashOutdoors That's a find for sure alright. One of earliest trips to one near where I lived at the time, we found a perfect condition megalodon tooth. Still have it tucked away in a box to probably be a surprise for my nephew when the time comes. Keep things groovy down there my guy, it's been a hoot talking with you.
You only steam for 6 to 8 minutes? Sheesh, I just started steaming literally this week and I was doing 20 minutes. Guess I need to cut that in half at less!
Crabs will get out of the commercial grade traps too if you leave them too long. Also if there’s dead crabs in the traps make sure you take them out before throwing the trap back in.
Absolutely. As kids we had to eat them first before opening up the Crab. Most people waste the legs because they are too lazy and have it too good. Same goes for people that dont pick out the meat from a Lobster body and just break off the tails and throw the body into the water. What a waste. I can't stand to see people do this to GODS resources that HE has given us.
what happened to the crab population.. when i was younger IE: 1970's-80's we could catch 50 crabs in a matter of hours on a couple of string lines and chicken necks.. burt i also never remember hearing of crabbers back then either every one caught their crabs not even sure if you could go and buy crabs
up here in baltimore md you gotta impress the crabs if you want to catch them lol theyve seen it all and i rarely have luck using fish bait. chicken on the other hand gets the job done

I really appreciate it!
Really enjoy the content. Living the Florida life! Love it! Great work!
Really Good Video. The little shrimp are Amphipods or Scuds. I can't imagine catching crabs and seeing Alligators. Cool Deal. Do you ever try chicken?
I will use chicken if my bait freezer is empty and I don’t have time to net more.
Keep it up, subbed on 1st vid I saw of you shrimping
Thank you!
Another great video..subbed

I enjoyed your first video 👍🏾 it’s nice to see a whole family involved together! Where do can I buy rebar for the crab traps?
Try a calling around to welding shops or 3 kings crab traps in Crescent City Fl if you are local. Thanks for watch!
