- You'll never believe what Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad had on this train! I woke up early and drove nearly 50 miles just to catch it moving Monday morning, then kept driving south chasing it towards Green Bay, WI...

True determination and probably a big cup of coffee got you set for the road and through the rainstorm. Thank goodness this wasn't after your rock Marathon. It is spring and suddenly the Mega log haulers come back to life. Were these cars loaded at Beecher? These logs are gray and have sat awhile. What's very peculiar are the new reporting marks LPXX which is so new it's not in the freight car reporting marks guide. Note the similarity to rhe orange cars being loaded at Crivitz which are for Louisiana Pacific but are only LPX and the Mega Log Haulers are going the opposite direction of the LP plant in Sagola. Thanks for keeping up with the switching at Crivitz as that yard apparently was fairly full. At least the words Mega log hauler weren't painted out so the tradition continues.
The suspense is building.......its gotta be......MEGALOGHAULERS ❗
LPXX is a corporate designation. It probably means that LP bought the Mega-Log-Haulers.

It's a wonder they don't have more derailments some of that track is absolutely horrible.
You can find really bad track on the line by Resolute mill in Menominee

The E&LS employees are easy to identify in public, they're the ones who have it all backwards, their nose runs and their feet smell...
Not only the megaloghaulers! But thier loaded too so this maybe the sign that their back you need to work in that voice a little bit but hey it's been a while
That last crossing at the end of the video, i bet the ELS train crew would fill their britches if BOTH engines derailed there. And it would give the M.O.W. crew something to gripe about after the way they were so ignorant to you. Try to catch them on video flipping you off, and forward it to their boss, or better yet, the owners of ELS.
I thought the line going to Green Bay was the best..cannot believe it. ELS must be making some money. even just replacing ties would improve timing. thank you for the video.

We had a large train derailment here in Arizona-New Mexico State line. Interstate 40 runs next to major East West BNSF tracks. Tank cars with propane and gasoline caught on fire. I 40 was closed for a few hours. BNSF has a yard in Gallup New Mexico about ten miles from the derailment.

I saw a video of that train going through Stiles and there is some really bad track there.
Track needs some ties replacement. Seen few bad ties.

The MOW crews can only install the ties & ballast that E&LS HQ allocates. Rubbing their noses in how the RR looks will only increase their determination to prove your intrusion on their AND the train crews' workdays.
Skip the lecture on rights as I've heard it all before! The RR has a LONG history of maintaining local relations where your are just 'that guy' to the locals, especially those that carry badges .
You sound like an MOW mouthpiece. Quite the bend over type. There is NO call for their behaviour.

In the followup video you can see the placards on the cars is 1075. Propane.

Being the U.S., your right to film CANNOT be infringed. CANNOT, under any circumstances, if you're on public property while filming. You can film ANYTHING you can see. If they don't like it, they can kick rocks.
It is your 1st Amendment right to film anything you can see from public property, any time, any day.
If the Police stop you, they are liable for legal action.
Go film children in a public park and see where you end up

Had he & his father not stepped up in 1980, this RR likely would have been abandoned.
