I was blown away be her performance in singing this song. I never heard of her before so I listened to several of her other songs & this was by far my favorite.
I have seen Linda Eder several times live and she is one of the best singers of all time in my opinion. Her vocals, nuances and phrasing are impecable similar to some singer named Barbra. Linda sings alot of Big Band, Broadway, Pop and even some country. Her cover of Babs famous song Don't Rain on My Parade is epic.
My son and I saw J&H with Linda Eder when it came to San Antonio during the first national tour in 1995. We both enjoyed it tremendously. At the show they were selling the concept recording made in 1994 with Linda Eder and Anthony Warlow (as Jekyll/Hyde). It is a 2 cd set and we listened to it countless times in the car. There is a song, 'A Dangerous Game' with Linda Eder and Anthony Warlow that is so good. Anthony Warlow, as Hyde, is seductive and dangerous. Linda Eder, as Lucy, is passionate and helpless as he draws her in. Both of their voices are mesmerizing and they sound wonderful together. An added bonus to the recording is that it includes John Raitt (a major singer in musicals, and Bonnie Raitt's father). I listened to him a lot growing up as my parents had the album of him and Mary Martin in the show, 'Annie Get Your Gun' as well as an album of his call 'Under Open Skies' He had a great voice.
Love Linda Eder!! Another amazing song from this Musical is "Someone Like You found Someone like Me". Her Christmas Album "Christmas Stays The Same" is my Second favorite holiday Album after Donna Summer, "Christmas Spirit". Check them both out if you want some amazing vocals on Holiday Classics!!
What an incredible Voice! I say her on Broadway in Jekyll&Hyde 27 years ago….and since that performance l‘m her biggest fan! Listen to „Vienna“ as well…)
This is a most outstanding musical... She is incredible and her character so loveable. Her performance here is beautiful and tragic. The show is worth watching but it's a dark Gothic Thriller with no happy endings. So see it knowing it's going to break your heart. The show has so much music to it that no production is ever the same. There are some core songs that is in every show but songs are often swapped out with others and revived and though it's the same show it's still slightly different and always captivating. Brilliant!!! Watching this show live is a great experience but this scene gutted me with the way the story unfolds after this song! It really ripped my heart out. There's another version of this song from the DVD release, that shows the rest of the scene. It's incredible and that singer is just as good and her acting so spectacular. The thumbnail for this song is Wing for the video though. The address in the thumbnail is not Linda Eder. That actress/singer is Colleen Sexton, whom I love even more than Linda Eder. She is the actress who portrays Lucy in the DVD release and is the one in the scene here on RUclips which shows you the rest of that scene. There's also another video of her performing "Someone Like You" which is another extremely vulnerable and beautiful song! Her performance if it is absolutely ADORABLE!!! I just fell in love with her character. Colleen Sexton is pure joy to watch. Linda Eder has several great albums and one very good Christmas album that I know of. She is married to Frank Wildhorn who is responsible for this musical.
She has a beautiful voice. She sort of reminds me somewhat of Barbra. The style that she sings. What a great singer, Paul!! And whT a great analogy, Saeed. I close my eyes and I see Barbra Streisand, just in those tones. This woman is fantastic. Thank you both for introducing this to me. ❤😊
Linda Eder has done a lot of broadway but her own concerts are just as memorable. I've been lucky to see her several times. Her signature tunes are "Man of La Mancha," which she belts out with full power, "Vienna" a gorgeous song which demonstrates her full range, and "Someone Like You" from Little Shop of Horrors. She's often compared to Streisand, although I prefer Eder's pure tone. Having said that, there are several videos of Eder performing "Don't Rain on my Parade," which show off her power and ability to sustain a note, like, forever.

Yes! She does remind me of singers like Barbra as well. Beautiful performance. Thanks for watching. Much love to you and your family ❤️🫂
I adore Linda E. We in Texas got to see J&H before Bway. She is amazing. There is a video of JH with David Hasselhoff so you can still see it
Came here to suggest this! You can watch a recording of the show starring David Hasselhoff as Jekyll/Hyde. All the other cast are amazing too.

Please, please listen to more Linda Eder! The Gold is my favorite of her songs. She has been compared to Barbra Streisand.
