- POV: You've gone all in on getting your horse a GreenGuard Grazing Muzzle and a GG Equine Breakaway Safety Halter. The former will keep your horse from overgrazing on grass; the latter will keep your horse from escaping or wriggling out of the muzzle.
This video shows you very quickly how to make sure you have the right size of muzzle and halter. In short:
Muzzle: can you fit three fingers between the horse's nose and the front of the muzzle (Two for a mini)? If so, you've got the right size muzzle. Four fingers? Too big. Three fingers don't fit? Size up!
Do the buckles on either side of the halter cheekpiece nestle comfortably on either side of the cheekbone? If so, you have the right size halter. If the buckles cannot sit comfortably on either side of your horse's cheekbone, consider sizing up your halter.
If you have any questions at all about sizing, fitting, adjustments, or anything else, send a photo with your horse in their muzzle and halter set up. Head up, please, and directly from the side so we can see the entire halter and muzzle on them. Send it to support@gg-equine.com and we'll do our best to help you make the adjustments or get the sizing right for your horse!
