I'm a top 100 shop owner that is typically inside the top 20 now in daily sales on Etsy and I have another mirror shop. While the additional store has added some revenue and increased our footprint on Etsy without forcing us to add inventory, it's been INCREDIBLY difficult to mimic the same success as our primary store. Even with all the knowledge and experience, it just goes to show you there's a bit of luck needed.

Mmm not so much luck I would say but it is all contingent on how competitive the market is at the time of entry, newer shops may require heavier tactics to scale as fast

My takeaway from this is - master that one product. Also I was frustrated with what was going on with me. Before listing half completed work, I start to think about and research a different product. Had no idea this syndrome had a name! Need to stop that and master what I’m working on to full completion.

Thank you so much for your insightful comment! I'm glad the video resonated with you. It's so easy to get caught up in jumping from one thing to another... I'm sure most of us have been there!

Your logic is sound and captures the essence of many business failures I've witnessed. The point is to iron out the process and automate yourself "out of a job" essentially. I'm an engineer... so this may be overly geeky. However I love to think of it all as systems building. Your just building systems. When you have built a system well enough that you can hardly touch it, just popping in to offer high level guidance, then its time for the next project. Organizations are systems. Everything is a 'system' in one sense or another.
I use this pattern, this viewpoint, applied in many aspects of life. Cycles and systems. Build systems. Create life, nurture it, send it off into the world. Same as parenting. Same as teaching. So many things fit this basic cyclical pattern.
At its core, its what humanity does most, and best. Make systems. Organize the un-organized. Refine it. Standardize it. Move onto the next thing. Even though you break it down in the micro-chasm of this context, its still directly applicable, conceptually, to humanity writ large. Its what humans do. Its how we build community and technology. How we protect our species.
I'll take off my philosopher hat now. I blame the coffee and the friday afternoon attitude lmaoo

Back in my mind I thought of these pssoibilites are thought I was up for the challenge. Welp this video has put be back on track to make my current brand more systematic. So Thanks for such informative video :D

if it is the overall same brand vibe then you can keep in the same shop or if you want to transform your current brand vibe into this new one you can do that, you just do not want 2 conflicting brands being run at the same time

I have a question. I've gone back and forth as to whether I should have different Etsy shops depending on what's being sold. The Etsy shop I've had the longest I sell Cash Envelopes. I've recently added a few digital products and register for the envelopes themselves. What I'm unsure about is if I'd like to sell digital products that aren't cash envelope related and then also doing POD products that have nothing to do with budgeting/cash envelopes. I've had conflicting answers as to whether having all of these products in one shop or if I have my initial shop stays as my cash envelope shop, then do the digital products in shop, and the POD in a third shop. What is the best way to do this?

Hi! It’s okay to have multiple stores, as long as there’s no product overlap. We would want to avoid selling the same items through different Etsy stores.

Hi Hannah..I was just wondering if there any limit on the number of listings we can post on Etsy per day as a new seller?I have 150 t-shirt designs Ready to go for my General print-on-demand apparel store on Etsy but not sure if I can post all 150 per day or should I take it slow and post 50 designs per day for the next 3 days! I would appreciate your response, thanks!

question: if you already have an etsy shop (that sells digital items), do you need to create another etsy shop if you want to connect with printify? Or can you select which listings you want to have made by printify? For example i could be making a digital planner in my digital items shop, that does not need to be send to printify. I hope you understand my question!

Hi Hannah, your videos are really helpful - you fit all the important bits in just a few mins video which makes it easy to digest. I have a question about opening a 2nd Etsy shop.
I recently opened one with handmade crafts however I don't have any sales or reviews yet. I have a couple of digital assets ready but I'm unsure if I should publish them in the current shop because I'm away for a month or so twice every year. I can set it to vacation mode but this means my digital products would not sell while I'm away when they're actually available to purchase. Will it be best to create a second exclusively digital shop in this case?
If I decide to do them in 1 shop and go away for a month can I change the physical items to "out of stock" so I don't lose ranking but sell the digital assets in the meantime?
    Thank you :)

What about your own store? Does it get constant views from RUclips by people that are not buying and killing your percentage? Do you have second store to protect the public store you shared on RUclips? And how would that work if you have to disclose in your profile all your stores? If you do not share a list of your stores in your profile can your followers find out all your other stores from your profile?

Would you recommend expanding existing etsy gig to another platform like Shopfy - same name, brand, products, etc, just different venue to potential customers?

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад

yes but only when your etsy engine is getting to the point of growing and running almost on its own. starting a shopify engine is much more time costly so if you have the free time because your etsy engine is systemized so good then yes you are ready for shopify

I recently started a second store to give my first store a more consistent look and nich (digital downloads-images) The second store is POD using my image creations on products. Both stores are struggling. It seems to me like I'm creating images that are a natural fit for both stores. With two stores I'm able to give the stores a more consistent look and theme. Am I delusional? Did I make a mistake?

Hi Hannah - I'm curious, IF you opened a second etsy shop, would you just do a DBA? There's no (government/taxes) need to keep expenses/profits separate, is there? It just seems like the simplest solution, so I'm curious what you think.
