Why tf are they developing more housing on Pukekohe land! It’s prime fertile soil and there isn’t a hell of a lot of fertile soil in NZ. It should only be used for growing beneficial crops and trees. How thick is our government and council to not recognise this! Far too much obsession with growth, economics and greed that it’s just sickening 🤦🏻♂️
Craig Hobbs almost smirks his way through this. Who makes the call Craig? If not you, then why not let whoever is responsible front the media. Appalling disconnect from accountability. Good work Geoff
I told Craig Hobbs this is a disgrace he sends me promotional materials written by council on how well council is doing in protecting environment. The man's a (crap) joke.
blaming anyone after the fact wont do anything to help the future trees in the sights of housing developments.. trees or houses? there is plenty of space where there are no 80year old trees local government need to protect the future trees or there need to be a higher authority in charge rather then some spoon fed council worker...
Disgusting behaviour, we need adequate legislation to protect out most vulnerable taonga
Genuinely heartbreaking. Thank you for bringing awareness to this.
they should put immediate interim protection on any areas that are in the process of being deemed an ecologically significant area.

Good grief
Well how else are they going to access their houses? Come on now, let's be practical. If a tree's in the way it has to go.
