Oh really, so was I in 1975, the year Indira Gandhi lost the court case and then declared emergency. During that time we had descended from Kedarnath. But after that we decided to hitch hike on the 5000' high road where my friend fell sick with severe stomach trouble and had become very weak( we were drinking stream water from the mountains). This was at a place called Dugalbitta. I left him in a roadside Chatti at Dugalbitta and as advised by the locals climbed up to Chopta to see a doctor and get medicines. The funny part of it was that on entering the dispensary the doctor was lying in a bed and didn't move a muscle, just gave me the keys to the medicine cupboard and guided me to the shelf corner where the medicine could be found. I filled in his register, signed it and returned the key. My friend was o.k in two days time which we spent on that Chatti.
@Chanda : Man you say that this work is amateur work at best, dude you know what I have come to realize from your videos, that humility still exists on earth. That style of speaking, the calmness in the voice, the music, the scenery and the information you put out is just top notch amazing. I wish I could come back and by some fate may be collaborate with you in one of your amateur works :D. Heart appreciation from a fellow Indian residing in the west. To top it all Himalays are the best.
Thank you very much for your beautiful documentary. I wish I could have understood the language but the scenery was too beautiful for words. Very well captured; very professional. My husband and I are going to be there at Tungnath and Chandrashila on 1st December 2015 - just four days from now. Your documentary has given us a very good idea of what to expect. I thank you again.
+Renee Nel My message is good one and half month late. Hope you enjoyed your Tungnath/Chandrashila trek. I have always wanted to add sub titles but then it's too much of a hassle for a work that is amateur in nature at best. Thanks for liking my video by the way.
M a localite residing in Rudraprayag, but Tungnath, Chandrashila is a place which always attracts me.. already climbed the peak three times but every time it's a new experience. This summit makes me feel more alive and, gives a feeling of courage and victory ❣️
I found your videos in the times when i was really depressed and seriously your voice and journey has made a lot of impact in my life I am very much waiting for your next videos,
The beauty changes its colours with every span of time passes... I was there in 2000... Wherein the power of silence can be felt and yes it is visible totally because this can't be explained... Simply thanks to drag me again to my childhood...
I like your all documentaries. Beautiful views. Specially the last one with white mountain surround with clouds .thanks to showing us beautiful views beyond our imagination.
I terribly miss my favorite Uttarakhand.. Here in US, I see snow for more than 3 months an year, but nothing like my hearty Himalayas, not even close :( :(
Yes, that's true. Recently got back from Pithoragarh after spending a week and it feels like I partially left soul there. And your description about yourself, is itself very intriguing. It's good to know you.
Thank you for sharing such videos of nature. Mind blowing to see how you have captured. Such a beautiful experience that has inspired me to go visit too.
Thank you so much for this! I think this video was one of the reasons why I went to Tungnath. What Lord Shiva gave me there is indescribable! Om Namah Shivai! May God bless you!
Chandan, What a beautiful video. Your camera skills are phenomenon and the Himalayan scene are superb... Thanks for sharing... I wish I could give you 1000 thumbs up for this video...
What a fantastic way to explain the amazing journey. I loved the journey and explanation with the background music. I felt to positive vibrations in this lockdown time of COVID-19 pandemic.
These videos have gotten me through some tough times during last year's lockdown. Thank you Chandan Prakash for your slow paced commentary which is so soothing. I have travelled a lot through these videos ever since I chanced upon them. Done many 'Tirthas'. Loni Agarwala from Assam
Beautiful video. Loved your commentary and your leisurely, almost laidback style. I love the Himalayas, and as a fellow mountain lover, could feel your passion coming through the filing and the commentary. Great work, would love to see more.
Zen says it is a great idea of videography for this kind of adventurous spiritual journey. Also packed with heart touching back ground music too. Thanks for all these to bring at my home virtual reality.
