Most of the time when fighting bossess I'd get nervous, start to ignore the attack pattern and hack aimlessly, in return taking a lot of damage. His fights are very graceful and effective. Edit: (almost 4 years later and we're now in 5.0) Ah... the fond memories of dying to regisvines. I guess we were all weak and clueless once 😂

Same here, this dumb thing is the most infuriating thing I've ever had to fight. I've tried 8 times to beat it and it completely wipes out my team each time and the fact that you can't co-op it is even more infuriating
me neither i think he does more damage of his ar llevel its clear he already beat the boss tho but for me if my stamina bar is full then i can dodge the ice shot
for the criss cross one, literally just sprint in either direction, left or right. for the giant 360 ice beam, follow the beam for a little bit in its direction, then sprint in the opposite (timing is more essential for this one)

Despite being under-levelled & under-geared the fight was an absolute breeze. Granted, I showed up with Bennet, Xiangling, Raiden and Chev.... So ummm, yeah.

Omg this helped me so much! I used Traveler, Amber, Xiangling and Bennett all together, though all of them were level 40 and regisivine was level 50. I will suggest taking lots of food with you!

Tysm for this! I would've spent ages fighting it if I hadn't watched this. I used heavy melee attacks to get rid of the cores, then I used elemental attacks once it was unconscious.
I don’t know… the boss did not follow this pattern for me. Once I broke the first weak spot, it went down and I damaged it. Then it did the spin just like you said and the big ice beam. But after that it started doing repeat spin attacks that KOed my main DPS. Then it started doing twin laser beams on the ground that just melted the next character and I couldn’t figure out how to dodge. It never did those repeat head slams. I’m a bit frustrated right now.
I just took down my first pyro regisvine last night. Took two tries but I figured it out. I had a feeling I’d use pyro for this cryo plant. I’ll try to get five bosses down today. The hypostasis bosses (electro, anemo and geo) and these regisvines. Pyro and cryo.

I found that a fire skill combined with the Anemo traveler's tornado easily destroys these when down, at least at level 20.
Unfortunately, I can never dodge the huge ice beam or the two criss-crossing ones

I think we can all agree that this boss has the best texture and model design in all the game.
