My friend told me its a good game. I downloaded it and.. yes, its very much a good game. My classmates think othewise tho. They just dont understand the magic of headpats and guns
5:54 YO ACTUALLY, FUN FACT So you've probably already realised that a ton of the Blue Archive lore is biblical in nature, and as such there's a lot of ancient words sprinkled here and there. You got some hebrew and some greek. Well, eligma actually comes from the ancient greek word "ἕλιγμα" which can mean, among other things, a skull fragment. And we actually refer to them as shards since they're fragments of the students, so there are some pretty cool etymologies behind a lot of the BA items and lore. As for Wolfsegg steel, that one's actually real. It's a mysterious block of iron that was found in the town of Wolfsegg, Austria, and is a testament to the technological knowledge of ancient civilisations. And the described shape of the real thing is "almost cubical", just as the ingame item. Another one that's funny is the Shittim chest. Well, in the biblical lore, Shittim is a place where a lot of things happen regarding Moses and Joshua. I'm not religious so I don't really much about it, but the biblical lore is there lol. There's a great reddit thread called "The Biblical References of Blue Archive" and MAN it goes deep. Like really deep. Abydos being an actual place, Binah, Chesed, Keter and the tree of life, Gehenna being literal hell, Trinity being a school composed of Pater (the father), Filius (the son) and Sanctus (the holy spirit). All of it is connected and it's actually pretty cool even if you're not religious like me. Top tier story, top tier game. 10/10. Also yea the doujins are godly lmao. Here, have this rare Seia (+Mika) doujin: 434847
Lmaooo i thought it was for the memes but that's actually pretty cool to know it's following the biblical themes as intended. Spent about 5 minutes laughing at the shittem chest when I first saw it with no context and I'm just glad it has an actual meaning. Also thanks for the nuke codes. :)
What I really like about the game is. -They respect your time, the sweep button is always there after you clearing the stage with a little restrictions from one to another like you must 3* it first, or you need to clear it once every day, you can do all the chore in less than 30minutes. -There's no "Fooder" Units, all units or students has uses, and the rarity system here doesn't work like most gacha games, the only difference I can tell from "SSR" To common students is the Mood, even limited time unit doesn't mean it's OP. In a way 1* rarity unit is more rare than those SSR. -The combat is simple, but quite complex if you want to delve deeper into it. -Those students grew on you, I fond of them. Not in romantic or lewd way, some of the students strongly arouse your protective instinct. But of course you could join the opposite group, I mean yeah I seen some of the fanmade art. -Music
Takes me about 5 minutes a day these days to sweep my dailies, which rewards long-term commitment to the game. Definitely appreciate that there's no useless units and they're all viable in some shape or form with a ton of character in their writing. (I regularly use the 1 star Kotori to keep my entire team alive during the longer missions)
Game is actually very generous, its just not through daily/weekly rewards but rather through events, total raid and login bonuses. The average time it takes to pity is about 2 months which is relatively quick.
Theres a possibility you can save more than 24k pyroxenes to 100k if you play one game per day takes...half of year or 6 months since I start only one month now
Here in Japan this scene reminds me of the KanColle boom in the mid-2010s. Fan artists, story theorists, serious gamers and bishojo game lovers are gathering, and there's at least one fan event dedicated to this game in literally every month. Don't expect THAT much from this gacha game but senseis still have a lot to play with as a bishojo game. BA is Super Smash Bros. of otaku fantasies; every anime girl stereotype is here but better. Moreover, the executive producer and the local publisher Yostar are very open to fan works. (You know, parody doujin is in a gray zone in terms of copyright issues.) Those who have been sticking to limited physical copies started to release their doujinshi online, and overseas sensei may access to those unpirated digital works in major online marketplaces though most of them are untranslated.
@@TheAniknight Developed by Nexon Games, former NAT Games acquired by Nexon Korea in 2018 (the year BA project launched). The executive producer Kim Yongha has some experiences in Nexon, including technical director in the early Mabinogi development. Kim-isakusan (writer) duo have worked together in Smilegate developing QURARE: Magic Library which reached its end of service followed by the duo's leave to NAT Games and the new "Moe X-COM" project (Yes. it WAS once planned to be turn-based strategy) later revealed as Blue Archive. Publishers differ in Japan and Mainland China while the parent company holds the rights in the rest of the world.
By the way, it's confusing to tell which part of Nexon is really Nexon. Nexon Games is just one of many studios under Nexon Korea. Nexon Korea is actual working head as a publisher. Nexon is a Japanese holding company, and NXC is a holder of all holdings.
@@hodolski Oh right it's developed by Nexon and Yostar published it. But I have to say Nexon's gotten a lot more generous with BA compared to the Elsword and Grand Chase era for sure, so it really did surprise me to see Nexon made BA. 😭
@@TheAniknight Yeah, I too expected that distinct Nexon style (KOG is an independent studio, though) but unlike other titles the devs aimed Japanese market first hence its release date and separate publisher.
Have been on BA sub for months for cute and funny content 😭😭 but never seen gameplay of the game, I've been sold on headpats, definitely gonna try it now. I wish I could headpat Nahida as well in Genshin btw You sound so natural and your jokes and memes land very well. Watching Genshin youtubers is such a pain that I never do it, we need more based people like you, who are not afraid of getting cancelled
Definitely enjoyed embracing the sheer power of the memes and the culture in the video. Clickbait and fanservice are pretty commonplace these days, and my goal was being self-aware enough to poke a bit of fun at the game, enjoy the memes and review the game at the same time. I DID have a feeling the fans of BA would truly understand all the little references without me going into detail (which I don't and is totally up to interpretation. The cheese slapped onto Mutsuki's face is in fact, just a piece of cheese if you want it to be).🤣
As a story/lore driven player, hearing you say it's one of the best stories you've seen since FGO really piques my interest. Not to mention the humor and all the po- -sitive reviews this game gets.
i can guarantee about the amazing story. Once you are attached with the characters, you will feel the need to protect them at all cost. I lost count on how many times ive cried reading the main stories. Like actually crying like a baby lol
Definitely worth giving it at least a try! I’m glad to have started playing this game in February. I play the game just for the stories and their BGM, they’re insanely good.
This game is pretty good ngl. Not p2w, able to interact with wives, chibi gameplay, the gacha is luck-based, many events - raids, daily pyro, BGM, the cunny fandom… but the story is what I love most: cute, meaningful, emotional, deep, world building - character development (Vol F and Vol 3 are the best btw)
The story is actually interesting when I read it especially rabbit of caerbannog and eden treaty, been playing it during the early days of its release btw
@@TheAniknight yeah, I do hope you are enjoying the story so far! Now that you mention it, I barely made it halfway through the second chapter of the millenium school story due to procrastination😅
It's a good ass side-game, been playing since late last year, currently at lvl 64 and yeah, story's absolutely fantastic, especially Eden Treaty, the music is incredible, the characters are surprisingly likable, the gameplay is a little hands off and stat-checky but eh, I already mald plenty in PGR and Arknights. Mika's banner is coming in a few, so I got 200 pulls saved up already: not only in she busted, but limited banners have better rate-ups to get more 3* and other previous limited characters. Only thing that's missing is a way to experience older event stories without lookng them up on YT. Would recommend EDIT: One downside is the gacha itself, as I literally have gotten multiple offbanner 3* without ever getting the rate-up student, so if you really want that specific character you better save your ass off.
Random JP sensei here, I don't know how far global is, but just FYI, you can farm normal Aru from hard mission 18-3. I know that Area 18 is probably out of your reach for some time yet, but something to look forward to right? BA's story is good, especially the later chapters, so I hope you continue long enough to enjoy it! (while avoiding all the spoilers flying around if possible)
Thanks for the advice. :) It's the first thing I looked up with my terrible luck with Aru so it's nice to know I can farm for her. It's going to take months or longer to get there though, by which point I have my fingers crossed I'd get spooked by Aru before that.
over a month late in response but EN sensei to tell you how far we are right now! 2 year anniversary event is just around the corner along with Mika, the Finale Chapter, and everything else that came out in that timeframe!
I got into Blue Archive after initially hearing the OST 'Unwelcome School' in a War Thunder video, to which I rummaged around RUclips to find, in which it ultimately led me to finding the game. Downloaded it and since then I've been playing the game. It is INCREDIBLY casual friendly that even if you choose to play competitively or casually, it won't hurt your gameplay experience too much. Furthermore, the farming is not that grindy, especially the events. I find it to not be that time consuming. I can cite more good qualities Blue Archive has, but at the time of posting this, I am too tired to think of relatively complex compliments. In conclusion, picking up Blue Archive was a good idea, as I have been enlightened, from the cuteness of the characters, and greatness of the story. If you have not played the game, DEFINITELY play the game if you have the time to do so.
The story and music alone makes it worth to read. Unlike other gachas out there reading the story is of this game is really enjoyable and easy to digest.
I'm mostly a f2p guy (I bought the monthly pyroxene a few times for like 4€/month) and, from my experience, if you just keep on doing your dailies, total assaults, the various events and focus on just stashing as much Pyroxene (gems) as you can, you'll end up with an ungodly amount of it. I've been playing for a year now and I'm sitting on top of 90K pyroxene and I only spend it whenever there's a banner of a character that I really really really like. This and the occasional rng factor of it (I got several 3 star characters on my first 10x pull from their specific banner and saved a lot of pyroxene this way). Also, the fact that the global servers are 6 months behind the japanese ones is an advantage as you can head to the fandom wiki and basically see exactly what the future banners are gonna be and plan how you'll spend your gems. Cheers
Having been playing for about 6mths myself, I finally got around to doing the final story, chapter 3 and the fact you are just given ~50 free pulls is insane to me. I couldnt get Reisa(at time of writing) but i did get Mine so I feel like I came out on top.

1:41 I'm here about to play the game(currently downloading assets) and I'm just thinking naming myself "Aru" in the game because it's a play of word in my real name(kinda sounds similar and I've been using it in as my ign for games I play). Didn't know there's literally a character that have that name. Now I need to think another of another name.
I started the game in February 2022, I am now lvl 77. (I wonder if there is a lvl max?) And the only thing I'm waiting for is Shiroko Swimsuit... Please give me my Shiroko banner...
Lvl 70 JP player and Lvl 68 Global Player here: Blue Archive is definitely one of the best gacha games I have gotten my hands on. There are so many aspects of this game that has a certain charm to it that makes it stand out. The game's music is phenomenal. It has such a wide variety of music tastes, but still keeping the touch of futuristic taste within it. I listen to a bunch of the game's ost even while working out or doing other things. The character lineup is also not something to scoff at. There are so many fun and unique characters, along with the stereotypical ones, that also have their own charms. A lot of the character designs are super well-made (ex: Wakamo, Mina, and Saori), and each new character that gets released breathes new life into the game. The story is also really well done, I used to be on and off with this game before, but when I read a certain section of the story, my love for this game sparked anew. It tackles various real-life struggles and hardships very well, the only other game that I can think of that achieves the same is Honkai Impact 3rd. Both the main and side stories also have such a charming way of how they show off the character interactions in various situations. I also enjoy the aspect of how easy it is to grind out your account levels, but I find it unfortunate how your characters' max levels correspond to your account level. However, like I said, the grinding is fairly easy, and the way you can spend your stamina and other resources so quickly for daily grinding is very nice, in case you forgot about it or you have other important matters for the day. All in all, Blue Archive is definitely worth picking up if you want a nice, chill side or main game to play through. TL;DR: Chill game with high accessibility to F2P players, pretty characters, and a banger story and OST.
I stumbled upon Blue Archive and found the gameplay pretty fun and cute. Stayed for the story, mystery, and world building. Can't wait for the upcoming anime.
i got all excited after watching this video, and went to play store only to find out that my parental controls restrict me from downloading the game 💀 but ig its only for my good, or i would become even more degenerate
i actually tried this on their official release to global but didn't continue due to my phone couldn't handle the specs at that time. just returned last year cause priconne shut down (devastated cause crunchyroll's true nature) managed to complete prefect squad and pushed through the story. no doubt better than priconne cause it's in 3d, students have their own charm and the music slaps😭 . thank you, kivotos, for saving me on christmas cause NIKKE gave me depression (will quit that nameless world) P.S. gacha is stingy but yeah, for what's worth... the story and ambience balances it, just wholesome 😄
As someone in the 60s level I cant even do the story, side storys, phone date thing etc because there is always some huge event that with my daily's takes too long already. They need to chill and let us low-mid levels ****** catch up.
Progress is definitely very slow from experience, and I honestly don't really keep up with events as a Level 39 since there's not enough stamina for it when I run Hard missions for EXP. It's a slow-burn game where I'm pretty sure we all just have to take our time with this game since they'll someday get reruns too in a year or so (logging in every day for 5 minutes to use stamina) Could honestly be fixed if they do what they do with Decagrammation with an event-specific stamina system so you don't waste stamina on events.
I'm also a comeback sensei after being betrayed by Crunchyroll! (Thanks a lot!). BA (i was level 30 before now 40s) in my case wasn't the same like priconne. It's like same gameplay but grinding is ten times harder than arknights (fellow dokutah's already knew how hard just to e2).. give examples, this game grind are student skill and stars basically combination of priconne and arknights however in order to get star's you must grind the jewels that has the student face on it and generously you have three chances a day to get at least 3.... Even fewer! Now for skill, just grind books right hahahaha wrong. For ex skill, you need disk that base from the student school aligned to with material of course... How to grind them? Well bounty exist but you can grind there for 2 times per day and mostly random drop!! There's also class session where you could get the material you need for and the same for the books... Now you know the grind, but most of this farming needs MONEY!!! AND BY MEANS A LOT OF MILLION OF IN GAME MONEY!
The more I like in this game that this makes F2P without forcing you to grind entire hours a day. Unlike arknights it turns into grinding cycle until you get bored now.
I think the game mechanics should adjust to the player's/sensei's age. So that every student's age will adapt to the player's age. Personally, I don't wanna know about the age, but they're too specific in describing every character's bio. I'm in my mid-20s, and sometimes playing this game makes me feel guilty.
The story in this game is immaculate when you said you fav was hina I thought “wow I don’t really like hina” and I like that because that shows the girls ha
Could you do a video on Girls Frontline? Honestly I'm surprised how little the game is earning while still being able to run its servers for all these years. The gameplay feels pretty outdated, but the characters and especially the story is what kept me playing.
I just finished watching all 12 episodes of BA and I think I miss to see the characters specially hoshino(cause she's pretty relatable and not because of perversion or whatever), and here I searched if the game is worth playing, Im actually hesitant to play because I don't know if it's good
Anime was a great adaptation. I definitely enjoyed it as well. It covers Chapter 1 of the game. Chapter 2 is the Game Development Club, which starts a bit slow but is a lot of fun. Most players find the story hits its peak with the Treaty of Eden (Chapter 3), which is where things get serious. Definitely is a fair bit of regular daily grind (pretty short with the sweep function, sweeping is a quick 5 to 10 minutes in and out per day) to level up your account level to beat some of the much later story levels to unlock story missions or get units levelled enough for Volume F (which uses your own built team), but that's a good while away if you're just starting out. They do give you trial units for the story in most cases. Levelling definitely slows down a fair bit around Level 40 or so, by which point I've managed to go through majority of the first chapter, and second chapter part 1, while unlocking Chapter 3. You can choose to start from Chapter 3 if you want as well. Which does remind me that I do have to go back to the story sometime. :L If you already have a regular gacha, want to avoid more gacha and/or don't want to grind, the option is always there to watch the story on RUclips if you don't want to wait for a second season. But if you do, just play F2P and save for anniversary with your initial generous gem yield, because it does eventually run dry. And take it slow ofc. :)
I definitely recommend Bluestacks for BA since it's pretty well-optimized. Have tried Nox as well but the game tends to lag pretty badly even with a decent GPU.
F2P player here, as well as a max level raider. If you make use of your resources wisely, it's still possible to beat the hardest content of the game(raid). It takes time and effort to nurture everything and I happen to stay on the top of the ranking for the past month without spending a dime. See ya in game!
The game is alright, really. Played for a couple of days then just forgot about it. And i want to see you review girl's frontline too if you can:). Nice video👍
Thanks! Story's mainly for people who enjoy Slice of Life comedy stuff with a side of dark plot and I find it quite rare to see good comedy in games like BA, which I ended up enjoying. It's a fairly long-haul, slow burn game that suits my playstyle after getting bored of large open world stories, which I probably should've mentioned but must've trimmed it out in favor of a more streamlined video. Also, good suggestion with GFL, I need to try that sometime too. Another one to add to the long, long list. 🤣
well i re.dl this game for the second time and tried rerolling for at least 10x. In my last reroll i got Mutsuki NY and Kayoko NY in just 20 pulls + Karin, Maki and Saya from the free multi. Im still in Area 2 with 50pulls saved for the next banner. Time to grind and chill 😊😊
I've been playing for 3 months and i can say it's really f*ckin hard to hold the urge to spend pyroxenes on banners and I'm f2p doing everything i can to get pyroxenes on boss raids but I'm so low on supplies and levels
well nexon actually loosen the ip ban so u only need to fake ip once when download the data of the game for the first time, finish that and ur free to go.
I come played this game right after leaving genshin and the other gacha games I been playing just becoz of Ui noises and BA memes , So far So good 10/ 10 for me
After watching this I choose to return to this game my first ten pull was 2 rainbows…one was aru…yeah only reason I came back was coz of unwelcome school that song was driving me crazy
Nah, as a global player since launch and played other gacha games. If you plan properly and try to only pull for limited, blue archive is one of if not the most generous game in terms of being f2p. Im genuinely and legitimately serious. Its the most worth it gacha game ive played. Been f2p since launch and i got a lot of characters i love from getting spooked and clear all content except for the highest difficulty raid bosses since you will need to actually mald for that lol
There are a lots of plus points the game has like the story, the art, the ui interface of the game itself,(idk about song) and the wholesome feeling. The downside tho is the gacha which makes me feel sad as the gacha rates aren't the generous along with the amount of resources that they give for gacha which makes it a real let down for me because when I played BA I was a little lucky but later I wasn't which made me sad along with the fact that there a limited too it makes me feel that it's not for me. Sure if you don't care about the gacha then go for it, it's for you but all you gacha lovers I am sorry to say it might not be for you.
I've stuck with blue archive global for a while now, I've joined the game after the bunny chaser event was concluded. All I i can say is that it's a chill game where you can mind your own business, if you choose to. I'd recommend you to stay out of non official ba servers or club servers if you don't want toxicity.
So I watched this video too final another gacha game to play........until I realized the game is region locked in the Netherlands and even vpns won't work because they outright block you Incredibly infuriating because this looks fun sigh

As a day 1 player who left and has only just returned, i found this video entertaining while still being informative and understanding. Good work 👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it 😭
Came back to this game a couple months ago, almost forgot how good the story id
Yep, it's definitely not as big as Kancolle, but the characters are really well-written for sure. Isn't BA by Nexon btw?
I wish I could headpat Nahida as well in Genshin
btw You sound so natural and your jokes and memes land very well.
The cheese slapped onto Mutsuki's face is in fact, just a piece of cheese if you want it to be).🤣
A thing to add on is that most banners are not limited. Therefore, you are likely able to save up for pity for every limited banners.
As a story/lore driven player, hearing you say it's one of the best stories you've seen since FGO really piques my interest.
Not to mention the humor and all the po-

This game has legit the best writing ive seen in a game. The comedy is also gold. Not only that but the soundtrack is legendary.

I’m glad to have started playing this game in February. I play the game just for the stories and their BGM, they’re insanely good.
I fcking love your editing. Video's hilarious!
I had no need to watch this video and yet got a great time ! Thank you for the video mate 🍻
No problem :)👍
This game is pretty good ngl. Not p2w, able to interact with wives, chibi gameplay, the gacha is luck-based, many events - raids, daily pyro, BGM, the cunny fandom… but the story is what I love most: cute, meaningful, emotional, deep, world building - character development (Vol F and Vol 3 are the best btw)
I'm actually taking interest on this game all because of the arisu meme, this is exactly what I needed to be convinced to play the game, great video✌️
Another sensei has joined us 😭
The story is actually interesting when I read it especially rabbit of caerbannog and eden treaty, been playing it during the early days of its release btw
I'm still about halfway through Chapter 2, so I guess I have more to read and look forward to :)
@@TheAniknight yeah, I do hope you are enjoying the story so far! Now that you mention it, I barely made it halfway through the second chapter of the millenium school story due to procrastination😅
I'm currently at chapter 2 with eden treaty, been a good read so far.
Would recommend
EDIT: One downside is the gacha itself, as I literally have gotten multiple offbanner 3* without ever getting the rate-up student, so if you really want that specific character you better save your ass off.
Yup, that's the plan. Gonna save for New Year Aru unless someone else cooler shows up, or I alternatively get spooked by the OG Aru
@@TheAniknight I hope you get your favorite dork man
Random JP sensei here,
I don't know how far global is, but just FYI, you can farm normal Aru from hard mission 18-3.

Know dat feel, still Aru-less but I got 10 to 12 other characters to make up for it from the anniversary event. 2x SSR rate is goated

Blue Archive is definitely one of the best gacha games I have gotten my hands on.
TL;DR: Chill game with high accessibility to F2P players, pretty characters, and a banger story and OST.
note you can farm aru from some of the hard stages so basically shes free!
I stumbled upon Blue Archive and found the gameplay pretty fun and cute. Stayed for the story, mystery, and world building. Can't wait for the upcoming anime.

i actually tried this on their official release to global but didn't continue due to my phone couldn't handle the specs at that time. just returned last year cause priconne shut down (devastated cause crunchyroll's true nature) managed to complete prefect squad and pushed through the story. no doubt better than priconne cause it's in 3d, students have their own charm and the music slaps😭 . thank you, kivotos, for saving me on christmas cause NIKKE gave me depression (will quit that nameless world)
P.S. gacha is stingy but yeah, for what's worth... the story and ambience balances it, just wholesome 😄
Priconne truly deserved better. :(
As someone in the 60s level I cant even do the story, side storys, phone date thing etc because there is always some huge event that with my daily's takes too long already. They need to chill and let us low-mid levels ****** catch up.
Progress is definitely very slow from experience, and I honestly don't really keep up with events as a Level 39 since there's not enough stamina for it when I run Hard missions for EXP.
It's a slow-burn game where I'm pretty sure we all just have to take our time with this game since they'll someday get reruns too in a year or so (logging in every day for 5 minutes to use stamina)
Could honestly be fixed if they do what they do with Decagrammation with an event-specific stamina system so you don't waste stamina on events.
I Found it becouz of that song, "Unwelcome school" i think its called like that
Same 🤣
I'm also a comeback sensei after being betrayed by Crunchyroll!
The story is really really good and it do gets darker 💀
"they are all between 15-17"
2 seconds later
"why is there so much corn"
💀
Never realized how crazy the timing was for that line 🤣
The OST of this game is also 💯🔥 One of the best EDMs you can find
ngl the music's that good that I end up falling back on them way too much XD
The more I like in this game that this makes F2P without forcing you to grind entire hours a day. Unlike arknights it turns into grinding cycle until you get bored now.

I think the game mechanics should adjust to the player's/sensei's age. So that every student's age will adapt to the player's age. Personally, I don't wanna know about the age, but they're too specific in describing every character's bio. I'm in my mid-20s, and sometimes playing this game makes me feel guilty.

If you already have a regular gacha, want to avoid more gacha and/or don't want to grind, the option is always there to watch the story on RUclips if you don't want to wait for a second season. But if you do, just play F2P and save for anniversary with your initial generous gem yield, because it does eventually run dry. And take it slow ofc. :)
great video!. I want to play blue archive on my pc but is bluestack is the only option for that? or what do you use if you play it on pc?
