    LED emit huge amounts of retina damaging blue light. Dimming LEDs makes it even worse as it is done by pulse width modulation (flickering!). Old incandescent lamps have perfect color spectrum and do not flicker.

    • @TYdGarcia

      This is true!!

    • @dmoschos
      @dmoschos 3 года назад +2

      Wrong. Incandescent bulbs have good spectrum but do flicker (about 20-30%). New LEDs exist that have very good spectrum (low blue) and can be dimmed flicker-free.

      @@dmoschos I'm not so sure about LEDs still, I think you can find low blue light LEDs, but most common bulbs you buy in supermarkets have a blue peak, and I've noticed the more you pull a light meter away from a LED, the higher the flicker readings. Most LED flicker measurements I've seen are taken quite close.

      Dr Kruse has some recent blogs about red lights not being that great, mainly because they don't have the infrared component that the red does in morning sunlight.

    He misses a very key point in the light advice. Gotta see sunrise for 30 mins. Dr Kruse says missing that minimizes the benefit of doing all the other light and night right.
    I dont think Dan really mentioned circadian rhythm. Its gotta be set to dawn in the SCN master clock. Body processes time from the SCN to require the frequencies and ratios of light that enable reactions to synthesize and recharge vital molecules.
    Do you think evolution knew what light was doing? Ignored scripture tied light (generally) to this importance before any men did. The truth which got more direct actually mentions both day and night, and sunrise to keep as the light that makes you and keeps you running right.

  • @johnminogue8055
    @johnminogue8055 9 месяцев назад

    Most led lights sold do not have a balanced spectrum, that compares to natural light. They are more expensive and jobs or people generally speaking gring at the thought of spending money. It amazing what ignorance will do to you. People often say I wish I had did things different. When it too late. To bad so sad.
