I hate to be the guy that points this out but Sam's microphone is backwards. That's why it sounds distant. The dials are supposed to be user-facing, not camera facing.
This is important, however, the thing that is actually much more important is learning how to pick the right startups to work for. Too many young engineers act as if all startups are created equal. They do not know how to ask the right questions and interview the company and people to figure out if it has a chance at success.
I love your video and its subject. I myself hope for an 'early' retirement and have been building on it too. I am always happy to listen to the like minded people to understand the similarities and differences.🖖
Good video. I shelled out around $15k to exercise my options at previous employer. I'm hoping like heck they get to an exit otherwise I'm out that money. I think stock based comp is wildly overrated considering so few companies make it to IPO anymore. Stock based comp at the big players is amazing thing, but at startups, I think it's often times very naive for young employees to get starry eyed by options instead of cash as payment. Odds of those options being worth anything are pretty if not very low.
Hey Josh I listened to your podcast about SPACs, Thematic Investing, and Growth. Just my 2 cents but as a younger investor I feel like these assets are a must have. Private market diversification through IPOs and SPACs are a great investment vehicle - On the SPAC note it provides me the ability to leverage experts who have a proven track record into areas of focus that I believe that have room to grow (such as agile technology companies). Thematic investing may reach a bubble in near term but I know that industries such as renewable energy, 3D Printing, and Cloud Space are here to stay in the long run. I’d rather pay a higher premium for these growth & social betterment equities since value stocks such as Wells Fargo, American Airlines, and Kraft Hienz have lost favor and don’t really peak my interest.
Samuel’s microphone isn’t the best in my opinion. There is a noticeable difference between your audio and his audio. It sounds “wide open”/ “echo-y” to me

No, it's fine. We do not need to hear every wisp.
It's not backwards, it isn't even on, the audio is coming from a different source. Look up photos of Blue Yeti too see that it isn't backwards.
Great topic and great guest Josh. I can think of a lot of people who I can share this with who would benefit
Would you like to make a video on how and what to expect as a new financial planner or para planner? What you look for when hiring?
Would love this! Looking to become a financial planner after I graduate in 2022!
Dude, go to a job fair at your college. But good luck these jobs are being taken over by computers.
SB Bear honestly worried about that lol
This was one of the most complicated things my wife & I had to deal with. Great subject Josh!

Technically: Spotify looks like it will trade sideways and then a big drop. Since mid july there's a macd sell signal. Not an advice.
down town is a fucking goat
What percentage of the millennial workforce is working for these tech companies. Feels like a very niche issue.
