I'm Navajo from the southwestern part of the reservation but I am entwined with my roots over several decades of turmoil. I can recall the experiences.
" You start doing things without really knowing what they mean or what you should be doing but you just sort of figure it out along the way" Yup.. that pretty much sums up my life, including making this comment. I stumbled across you today and feel quite lucky and privileged that without even knowing it I just got an 8-minute summary of why I like you on so many levels. As a wordsmith and creative I resonate with you, and having learned about your studies and drive to do what you enjoy not what you maybe have been qualified to do is both inspiring and humbling. Really I know you don't know me, but I have to say given such a short introduction I am fascinated to travel your back catalogue now. Thank you for sharing.
Nice to see you again. My dad also passed away with cancer a few years ago and it changed the way I look at my life. It made me quit university because I wanted a simpler life. Right now I'm studying to become an electrician and I've become more fond of the rural lifestyle.
Oh! So sorry to hear about your loss! I definitely understand all of that. It's good to rethink things. And something like that definitely changes you. Being an electrician sounds wonderful! Being able to help people like that, and understand how those things work. Very cool! I find a lot of comfort in the rural lifestyle myself. It's slower and calming.
I remember watching you, Athene, your brother and the rest of the crew back in the day, it was a lot of fun. You were and continue to be really pretty. Greetings from the Caribbean sea!
Hoi! Hope you are well. Loved hearing what you were up to. Looking forward to seeing the videos on the pieces you've made. Speaking of which, piece out!
So sorry for the loss of your Dad, ive been through it but you have done so well for yourself to make him proud. Look forward to viewing your new videos they sound really cool. best wishes :)
Glad you are doing well! I also put moving out of my parents' house on hold for a while after my dad passed. It's nice for your mom to have you close by, and it opens so many opportunities to explore your options and to focus on your passions (unless your mom charges insane rent ;)). Keep the videos coming!
Thanks! :) I'd be terrible at living by myself. Plus, I'd be paying a large amount of money for a place I'd rarely be, because I'd be out working most of the time. And we get along great, so it's really nice to be home, for now :)
I love that youré really passionate about what you do, it's the greatest feeling ever, to love what you do and do what you love. If you do get to do it, I would love to see the video about your plays and all that. I am currently looking for a new opportunity and hope I can get to do again something that I really like. Also, I loved that fact that you have such a nice backyard with all those trees, just love it.
How's life in Belgium with the lockdown anyway? I live in your northern neighbour country and all I know is that apparently I can't just drive into Belgium anymore. It also causes regular traffic jams at the border. So it seems that the lockdown is even more strict there?
It's quite strict here at the moment! Though not as bad as Spain for example. But we're not supposed to leave the country, unless for work or other legitimate reasons :) So the borders are tricky. And we're not supposed to leave the house, unless to go to work, the supermarket, pharmacy, or post office. You're allowed to go for bike rides though (however far you want) and for walks in the neighborhood (or certain sports outdoors). They're going to be less strict as of Sunday though, and we can choose 4 friends to invite or visit. Shops have reopened on Monday, although with strict safety precautions. But bars and restaurants (and theaters) remain closed.
Favorite quotes? world you mind sharing what your shirt has across the chest? happen to know a good photo editor? love your smile... wishing you the best.
Haha, thanks! :) Good idea, favorite quotes. I'll have to think it over for a little bit. My shirt said "Famous Last Words: We'll Fix it in Post!" All the best to you too!!
twinklybird i want to be as bold an brave as you. would you be my internet friend if I made videos? seriously need to step outside of my comfort zone. love what you do... (peace and love) ☺️
Often while filming, when there's bad lighting or something that looks a little off on camera, instead of trying to fix it (or sometimes after trying to fix it, but failing), people will say "oh, we'll just fix it in post". Meaning postproduction and editing will have to fix everything that looks bad. So you're dumping the problem on someone else :) (and if you do everything yourself, you're sort of screwing yourself over). A lot of things cannot be fixed in post. It's always best to have the best recording circumstances. Most people know this though, so it's often said as a joke. "Oh, we can't really see the person very well... guess we'll just fix it in post."
I think art can be incredibly "useful". I think you say this, but you'd have trouble living in a world without it. Art isn't just theater, it's also literature, music, paintings, sculptures, movies, television shows, ... It's the larger whole. It's often what keeps us connected, teaches and stimulates empathy, offers comfort and can make the world a lot less lonely for a lot of people. And I've had the great pleasure of hearing from people who see my work that it has made them understand something, made them feel heard or recognized and has been able to comfort them in hard times. Which is, for me, of great use in this world. And if you can't understand that, I'm afraid you're just not willing to :)
@@twinklybird Twinklybird, your spirit rises like no other and shall you inspire many young and old alike with your wisdom, kindness, and compassion. You are a great soul and i will always wish you the best!
Fun Fact, you were the first RUclipsr I saw in my whole life, 12 years ago. Never forget. Greetings from Germany

So we almost had Doctor Twinklybird.
Can someone tell me if Ricky is still around?
Have you made/written any more music videos?
You need a 10 minute video to be included in the RUclips algorithm now. I enjoyed hearing your college journey. I think you’re rad. Stay safe

How do you still look 19?
Are you still 19?
No, she was born in 1989, so she's either 30 or 31.
What does "Fix it in Post" mean?
When there's a mistake in the shooting of a video, you can fix it in post production. So you "fix it in post".
Often while filming, when there's bad lighting or something that looks a little off on camera, instead of trying to fix it (or sometimes after trying to fix it, but failing), people will say "oh, we'll just fix it in post". Meaning postproduction and editing will have to fix everything that looks bad.
