    Jay dropping on top of beans actually helps beans sell records. Jay put beans on the 1st verse to his single do it again when nobody knew who beans was. Jay put beans on some big songs and he was all over clue tapes. Beans was out there he was all over dynasty beans had a timberland track and a video for the back stage concert. Jay and dame was pushing beans to be great. He was the star of state property movie and he was all over the sound track. Jay put beans on a track with scarface guess who's back. Jay put beans on best of both worlds green light. What we do with him and free. Beans wasnt ready for the fame.

    Why do interviewers not fact check and let people run with false narratives? Beanie’s debut came out in February of 2000, Hov dropped 2 months before him. His second album came out in June of 2001, Hov dropped in September. On top of that, why would Jay stop you from selling, it would ultimately make him more money. Just dumb

It might have been best for them to come out around the same time to capitalize off the ROC imprint. If you look at Bleek discography it probably came out in proximity as Jay and other artist on the labels as well. Now what he was doing to Nas was definitely questionable but if Sig came out in this generation he’d be lucky if a labelmate wouldn’t have dropped the wk before or after his project. This video shows how easy it is to lie and how easy it is for people to believe it. This is despite the fact that this is easily accessible information that will EASILY prove what he's saying is false.
    But people want to hate Jay-Z so much that facts don't matter even a little bit

    No body was thinking about beanie sigel 🧐 Jay-Z did him a favor by promoting him and putting his album close to his and not only that the roc made sure beanie looked or lived like a platinum artist even tho he never really went platinum , beenie sigel could rap like a star but he didnt look like one and that's why Jay-Z kept stepping up to help him out . He didn't need to fear beanie sigel because Jay-Z was the star of the label .

    This is simply not true. The majority of their album release dates are months apart on Def Jam/Roc. The closest being AG and The Solution.

      Not true Jay released Vol 3 in Dec 99 and Beans dropped in Feb 2000. Jay had Do It Again and Big Pimpin as singles. Beans had The Truth and Remember The Days as singles. Instead of Letting Beans release a third single they released Anything that was a Jay bonus track on The Truth as a third single and it bolstered Jay’s sells and hurt Beans.

    • @cyrusbramlett8831
      @cyrusbramlett8831 12 дней назад +1

      @willsalter8113 Those release dates are literally 2 months apart. Secondly, Beans dropped his album after Jay z. That totally flies in the face of his claim. C'mon man, get it together.

    • @willsalter8113
      @willsalter8113 12 дней назад

      @ Do you not understand album cycles? Can you not read? Most labels back then would give their artists six month windows before they released another album from an artist on their label. The only one who didn’t was Master P with No Limit and that’s because he didn’t rely on radio or video promotion to move units. Even Def Jam would release albums quarterly to allow each artist time to shine. Vol 3 was supposed to come out in October but he pushed it back because Nas was dropping Nastradamus in November and he wanted to see if Nas dissed him. That threw off DMX’s (R.I.P) promotion for And Then There Was X and Beans The Truth. Instead of giving Beans a third single he released Anything which was a bonus track on The Truth. Most people thought that song was on Jay’s album and not Beans. So what are you talking about? Beans was correct.

    • @cyrusbramlett8831
      @cyrusbramlett8831 12 дней назад +1

      @willsalter8113 What does reading have to do with his claim? The fact is that it's simply not true. Rocafella/Def Jam had countless artists. Waiting every 6 months to release an album for each individual would be problematic. So, I doubt that claim is even true.

In Fall of 98 (before the Hard Knock Life Tour) Def Jam distributed Jay, Redman Methodman, Dmx albums in a 3 month period and they all sold including 2 DMX albums in 6 months.
