I've just started this book recently called Existential Kink, amazing book which is not really about kink but shadow work. It's based on the idea that on some(usually unconcious) level, we find ourselves stuck in painful patterns because we actually wanted that experience and enjoy it in a weird kind of way. Think about why some people constantly attract the same partner, or wish they could get a higher paying job or travel but can't seem to take the steps necessary to get what they want. The hypothesis in the book is that unconsciously, there are needs that are being fulfilled by NOT getting what they want. AKA we enjoy our suffering on some level, even if we don't admit it XD This resonates so deeply for me, and also aligns with what others have said about manifesting... that if you're not aware of what unconscious desires you have which are also manifesting stuff for you, it's hard to actually achieve or get what you truly want on the deepest level. And also! If you actually did get what you want most authentically, when you're carrying beliefs around not deserving, or being unworthy, it's quite possible you might try and sabotage it. Highly recommend checking out the book for anyone who's interested!

This message really hit home. Sometimes you speak to those that suffered childhood trauma, which I didn't, as I was blessed with a loving, supportive family. My trauma began as a young adult and continued for almost 40 years. So many times I thought I wouldn't live to see another day, but here I am. I printed out some art I made and in the centre is the word, 'Unbreakable'. Whenever I'm struggling it's there to remind me what I've lived through and overcome. Girlllllll I was seven and whenever my parents went to work and my sitter was doing whatever I’d sit right in my room or living room floor and watch Avatar the last Airbender every single day!! Girlllllll I was seven and whenever my parents went to work and my sitter was doing whatever I’d sit right in my room or living room floor and watch Avatar the last Airbender every single day!! Til this day I love Japanese proverbs and the show. I feel like it molded my mind so much as a kid growing up in the hood, I was so self aware it was crazy! Like I was seeing spirits (which then I thought were monsters trying to get me) and premonitions? or maybe just like super intuition like if I get really sick then I know something bad happened to someone in my family.
Between you and Natija I’ve grown so much! I’ve built an altar, started tarot, bought crystals and started the practical work to be settled in this new timeline. I’ve only started the last month with watching the videos when they pop up in my feed but these small pockets of content during my week really help! Also I wrote 2000 words 😭 I still need over 100,000 more words but it’s a start! No more procrastination 😤😤
