@@dazza761 He did it because wiping is an essential part of raiding, as it allows players to learn from their mistakes and improve their performance. It is crucial to have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn when wiping, as doing so can lead to eventual success so that after the wipe, they can take the time to analyze what went wrong and discuss improvements with the group, and identify specific mistakes, such as incorrect positioning or ability usage, and work on correcting them for the next attempt and then with a solid understanding of the encounter and improved communication and strategy, they can continue attempting the boss fight. Same thing with the game as a whole. Thankfully I don’t want that time back. Great fucking game. People often prank you in this game. It’s the culture.
@@tacohitman4003it’s not even the culture you rarely see it in game. These people just wanna act like they’re not already wasting time by playing a video game.
Well no shit, especially with 40 random people on the internet. There's a good chance someone will either willfully or negligently fuck it up for you. It's crazy to imagine people thought they wouldn't get their time wasted raiding in hardcore.
He must have been watching him and being ready for it at least in the back of his mind. I cannot fathom how anyone raids with him? did he silently somehow level that character without them knowing or are they all just dumb as bricks for letting him in a raid??
Remember how Asmongold and his streamer friends destroyed Advertise's ability to stream and create content because he was "griefing" them by PvPing on a PvP server? But Asmon's response to this situation is "it's just a game"
Probably why they don't ban him and others like him its like a culling keep the players in check to make sure not many people actually finish the game and keep them spending.
Or people hit an epiphany and realize the game isn't worth investing hundreds of hours into when one dipshit can grief a whole group of people, then unsub and go do something else. Classic doesn't have the playerbase to tank that kind of behavior. But from that angle, I'd say that's pretty based. But I don't think that was the angle you were going for. If Blizzard will ban people for Warlock teleport griefing, they should 100% ban this dude for pulling shit like this. OR make it where shit like this can't happen in the first place. It's insane that an attack like that is in Hardcore. Bare minimum, it shouldn't hit you if you're out of combat.
Another "best" part about this, is that you know every one of those players in that raid saw tinyviolin's original feat of strength. You know while watching that they were probably like "lol can you imagine that happening omg". Now here they are lmao.
How many of them knew? On the Internet you have anonymity the only way they could know it was the same person is if he told them. Sure that one guy class med that they gave him a second chance but who knows in what context this is in. Like was this the first day they decided to give him a second chance and was it like one guy that approved him to join. He had sort of a point the first time he wiped since people were able to appeal their deaths and they were appealing for other reasons too which I guess you cpuld see as not actual hard core but this time it was basically pointless because what corruption is he referring to? Last time he was talking about how they were dying in battlegrounds but you can't do that in hardcore now so he doesn't have a point. All it shows is this was never about a message of corruption it's just an excuse for him to justify to himself that he needs to grief. Also by all accounts blizzard should ban him for griefing yet they aren't, glad I don't play hardcore let alone play any of their terrible games anymore.
How something like this is allowed in a permadeath game is beyond me. Asmond was right, WoW Classic just wasn't build for permadeath. I hope they push permadeath to future expansions because Vanilla WoW, as fun as it is, is pretty unfair.

So I personally don't play WoW, probably never will. But I did play LoL in the past. I know the experience of some griefer throwing a game, and you losing the last game (about 40 min of your life + your last win LP-wise, so total about 80 mins loss in essence), and I have been tilted after. It isn't just the fact that your gaming experience/relaxation time of the day was ruined, but also your time investment is lost, which hurts. If someone griefed and made me lose 100+ hrs of my time, I would legit rage... or quit. Saying it is just a game to minimalize and remove all value to your time and effort is not a reasonable stance here IMO. While, yes, this is a technically a true statement, it doesn't make this experience any less painful or make their frustration any less valid. I think the negative and hateful response to this kind of trolling is a lot more natural and expected than the pleasure that some derive from ruining others hardwork. You can't expect someone who's put in so much effort into something that they are passionate about, regardless of what it is, to take the high road, or to be calm and say to themselves "It's just a game". The reason is that their response to being trolled like this is because of how selfish and callous of human being you have to be to derive pleasure from disregarding other's work and efforts and the despair that brings. This might sound dramatic to some because those type of people will always respond with "Dude, it's just a game", but I wonder if they would feel the same is someone like this could troll like this, completely carefree and with no worry of repercussion, and strip your efforts away from you. IDK, by Asmon's logic on this one. Trying to justify that the community should be allowed to start offing itself seems odd. Obviously you'd feel differently if it had been a little "closer to home", 1000% guarantee if it happened to you your tune would be a /tad/ different. I liked how he pointed out how many hours they have to go again. The never visit that again. Yeah, Cody trolled some people on weekends. And they could try again next lockout. Last time he was talking about how they were dying in battlegrounds but you can't do that in hardcore now so he doesn't have a point. I'm actually rather thankful the dude gets his kicks griefing people online. Dude definitely has a rather unique interest in terms of elaborate griefs. I imagine turning this interest to other more destructive activities irl could be much worse for his community.
Personally, when I was feeling down as a teenager I used to grief people in online games too. Just gotta find the game that allows it. There's a certain satisfaction in frustrating people and getting reactions out of them when in the right (wrong?) mood for it. Can't really do this irl because I'll probably get my ass kicked. But in online games? All bets are off.

asmon literally says himself u spend hundrends of hours and you dont get it back, he builds up context like this is absolutely horrible then 180s and defends tiny and everyone making fun of him, pretty sure all the mold in his house rotted out the last brain cells he had
Because we all know these types of people would gladly do so. I don't play WoW, but in any game or any activity whatsoever, people who derive pleasure from stripping others of the effort they've put into whatever they feel passionate about, is one of the strangest, and saddest things I've seen in the gaming community in general.

Why pick up garbage on the side of the road in front of my house if the city doesn't do it? Why stop someone from getting beat up in the park that's the cops job, just look the other way? That last one may be an extreme example because it includes actual violence but people have to care about other people and have to care about shitty sociopathic uncivilized behavior and putting a stop to it. It may be just a game but investing hundreds of hours of your time into building something and watching someone crush it just for fun is mentally destructive.
