I lived in Australia in 2009, at that time The Last Day on Earth was on its way to becoming a huge parade success down under and I was only 21 at that time. It's been 10 years already. I remember I kinda used to have mixed feelings about Kate Miller Heidke's music although I did like some of her tracks, I reckon my taste for more mainstream pop music, as she used to be back then, only needed some expansion. She is amazing, and it is simply lovely listening to her music now and getting to check out how her music evolved with years passing by, the 21 year old guy I was also changed a lot and evolved in many ways, so to say, and keeping up with this sort of change and evolution in her work is also kinda having an overview of who I was back then and how that 21 year old person I used to be went all his way up to adulthood, a more cohesive adulthood. It's kinda scary and yet so lovely at the same time.
The comment is so wonderful, honest and introspective. Thank you for sharing with us how you have grown and why you now have a greater appreciation for this goddess' music.
I think Kate's voice sounds better in this version ruclips.net/video/DnawTmCsvjI/видео.html where she sings in an empty church with solo guitar accompaniment. Just my preference. They're both enjoyable, each in their own way.
Australia has produced fine musical talent that is underrated by the public, Kate is one and John Farnhem is another!!!
Came here from Eurovision, was not disappointed. How she does that last bit I have no idea.
i was there on the night and what a brilliant show it was!
What an opportunity! I regret deeply that I couldn't be there to witness this in person. What an absolute privilege.
That echoing of the melody in the glock is just sublime!
Yep. every time, she is extraordinary.
wow David did a great job on the drums it really added to the song - Kate's outfit was fantastic!
That lyric stumble in the second verse 😂 😂 but being the great musician she is, she just kept going 👍🏻
This is beautiful and just the kind of epic treatment the song deserves
Voice and song: beautiful!

Удивительный голос😍❣️
When she does the crazy bit at the end, I feel like I can hear a didgeridoo. What is that? A deep rumble sound?
That would be Keir her husband!😂😂😂 On backing vocals
What's on her head? Kokoshnik?

In Ukraine, only about 400 children died because of Russia
Thanks for your fans buying armored cars to Ukraine, you should be ashamed....
