Yeah, I think Howard was also critical of Soupy (or some other disc jockey) for taking up photography, barely 10 years go by, and what hobby does Howard take up? PHOTOGRAPHY!!!
You'll find that precious few things in this life "age well," so you can probably remove that hackneyed line from your vocabulary. Howard admitted before he went through some schooling and training to deepen and his voice during his career to make it more commanding for radio and I also think that’s why he drinks warm water exclusively to keep him loose, and honestly that shit works if you learn to not talk so tight your voice can deepen significantly
Howard was dumb to turn down some of those early bit parts he was offered. I heard him say once they offered him a bit part in the first Robocop move. He would have been great in that. I think he regrets all (or some) of that now. I think it was Don Buckwald that was in Howard's ear not to take anything. Howard was actually in a movie (forget the name of it now) back in his WNBC days, and it was a total flop, so I think that scared him away from all future movie offers.
And then Gilbert went to work for Leno on "The Tonight Show" for years. He mocked everyone so I have no idea who Gilbert actually liked, which is fine by me because that guy was so damned funny.
does anyone know where the clip of gilbert imitating dice crying on the arsenio show before ford fairlane released is? its stuck in my head and i cant find it! i know its in one of the videos GAP released.
FORD FAIRLANE - i went to see it in the movie theater when it came out - was a huge disappointment - they chumped out and made a PC film - bad name for a film and for a character - and no nudity, sex, raunchy humor - a PG Dice film - who wants to see that?
The no talent lame howard made me bail 4 minutes in. Sorry Gilbert. Stern is “Trump light” *and the Turtles were and are 1000% more famous than the jew will ever be (maybe not more rich....but way more famous)
This shit is truly such a historical treasure. The references are so great. Thank you for your efforts. Just amazing. 🤘

Howard mocking Sonny Fox
for doing his show from home
is absolutely priceless.
Yeah, that aged well.

Fun fact is that Gilbert had Sonny Fox on his podcast many decades later.

Howard Stern is
such a
Hypocrite
Gilbert doing Dice Lugosi is amazing.

Love these oldies! Gilbert's fake laugh sure changed over the years!
Howard's real voice without the bass put on it. Proper modulation.

@@PlutoTheGod right, he also uses compression on the board to make his voice deeper.
Testing. Testing.
Shut up! Sit down!
@@thesimulation9651 I told you not to be stupid ya moron.
Gilbert’s best impression is when he does Jackie. Gets me everytime, haha
And his Kinison 😂😂
Love him boiling down his routine to ,"A _____ walks into a whore house...!"
Gilbert was in Ford Fairlane.
He played a Stern like Shock-Jock "Johnny Crunch".
No 💩🤦🏻♂️
Howard met with Renny Harlin about playing that part.
@@thegiftedone yes.
@@johndalton3180 That would have been a good move for Howard, and Dice!

These are great...thank you!
The Leno stuff is F-ing hilarous!
The Gottfried Archive Project? It's about god damn time.
I love these!!!!! Thank you
1:19:30 great Jackie laugh
“Drop some cornflakes on Ethiopia and leave me alone”
I love to hear him laugh.
😂 Howard says, "I think I'm in love with you."
I died. I found my favorite segment. Thank you
Only help people if it's safe.
Mayor's orders.
Somehow I haven’t heard this one before. The Peter Boyle - stroke bit is Gilbert at his best!
Howard’s diatribe about taxes and cutting off welfare is definitely one of the things he wants buried.
Gilbert burnt so many bridges being on this show, if Howard was in Ford Fairlane, he would never criticize the film.
He was out of his mind back then.
Gilbert's black impression at 42:48 was gold
gilbert’s black impressions are so funny.
Howard’s and Gilbert’s honeymoon phase
RIP Gilbert!
Peter Boyle sounds a lot like the dog from Soupy Sales

Boy have Howard and Robin changed.
Ford Fairlane is a masterpiece. I still quote movie lines with my coworkers
Love that movie. Booty Time! Booty Time!

Is it really not in this appearance?
It might be in 'Black Kluge.' Commenter Josh Bright posted a link to Dice crying on the Arsenio show there.
@@TheGottfriedArchiveProject yea it was in the black klugie. thanks

Good point. They tried to cover up for it by having wall-to-wall f-words. But it was still an enjoyable ride.
Wow you’re the two that watched that crap.
Interesting.

Howard and Robin sounding like Rush Limbaugh here. Not cool.
Wrong. VERY COOL.
If you’re talking about the welfare thing, he was absolutely right.
No, he wasn't. A good, strong, consistent welfare system is essential for a society. It's very telling that Americans think the opposite.
I actually watched Ford Fairlane on a date, I hated the movie, horrible.
women and effeminate men do not understand Dice
