After years of studying ancient text, Jews celebrate by the tens of thousands at MetLife Stadium

- An estimated 100,000 Orthodox Jews filled the seats and field at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Wednesday night to celebrate the completion of seven and a half years of religious study. Each day, people taking part in the "Daf Yomi," or "page a day," program study one page of the Talmud, which collects interpretations of Jewish law that governs every aspect of life, from marriage to commerce to jurisprudence. Religious students can spend weeks studying one page of the Talmud, but the Daf Yomi program makes the daunting text surmountable for observant Jews who have otherwise busy lives. There're 2,711 pages of text to go over in the Talmud, and to read each double-page - front and back - will take some seven years.
I am South African, so I grew up with Calvinist anti-Semitism (the principal traditional churches of one of our population groups are Calvinist). It is ironic how God makes it clear that we (the nations) have an obligation - FOR ALL GENERATIONS, in a precept which shall never be altered - to bless the Jews, but we, Christians especially - if history is anything to go by, all seem to have a good reason why His word is mistaken. So good with universes, but allegedly weak in the grammar dept.

Funny to see the haters and nay sayers telling the Jews about their laws and traditions. You do you, and let the Jewish people do them. It seems to be working with Talmud and all for them. Given all that have come to try and destroy her for the last 2,000 years.

We are all servants. The only way to get wealthy in this world is to be of service. Even the queen is in service to her subjects. Outside of murder, violence, and theft. We’re all servants in one way to another. The difference is in degrees.
The Talmudic laws are as equivalent to the Sharia laws , both are of men, constructed laws of the Tribe.
Even the kings of Israel were only required by Yahweh to study the Written Torah daily; no Talmud.
