My good-hearted Jewish friends I merit to have told me they study 'daf yomi' as well, I came across a rude Jew I then found out that rude one does not study the Talmud, I found that to be remarkable!
The page-a-day program they're celebrating was created specifically for people who work full time and don't have all day to study more. They cram this page in at night, early in the morning before work, and on the bus or train. That's part of the accomplishment here.

If there are a bunch of people living in an area who all have have similar needs, that's how the election is going to go. Who would stand up and say, "I'm going to vote for whoever seems worse for me?" Everyone's just trying to make it through the day.
