Hi Raoul! I've been a big fan of your work and really enjoy every upload. Would you be able to share the chord progression and/or music theory related to 0:20 - 0:35? I loved how it sounds and would love to know more about how you made that progression. Thanks!
Thank you very much 🙂🙏 We're in C#, the chords are C# major | F# minor | G# major sus4 | F# minor -> the star of the show being that F# minor IV chord. If you build triads starting from each degree of the C# major scale (indicated by roman numerals, C# is I, D# is II, ...), the fourth triad would be major. By using the minor IV chord from the parallel mode C# minor you get this F#m (called a borrowed chord for this reason) which gives you that beautiful sense of longing, nostalgy and melancholy. Many great examples throughout history, the end of the choruses in In My Life by The Beatles come to mind ("In my life
Swapped the pickups soon after getting the guitar for Haven Omnias and I added the Hokusai wave last summer because the guitar was uncomfortably black on black 😆
The quality of your videos is crazy bro !!
Thank you so much 🙂🙏 I've grown to love video just as much as music!
My speakers rejoice when I play your song. You are amazing. My role model!!!

Your phrasing when doing leads is fantastic!
Thank you, really means a lot since I don't consider msyelf a lead player 🙏 (I much prefer to hold down the rhythm parts)
Lovely as always! This one sounded nostalgic i must say. Don't know whyyyy
That's the magic effect of the minor IV chord 😉🙌💜🎶

@@iamchillytoy thank you so much for not only sharing the progression, but also how it works. Keep up the great work my friend.
Insane brooo love it ❤
Thank you 🙂🙏
Awesome stuff! What pickups did you put in that Solar? :)
A pair of passive Haven Omnia pickups 🙂 they feel compressed and easy to play like actives but retain some of the characteristics I like in passives.
new pickups and design on the Solar, it seems
