As the Miami fan, they did a good job in the transfer portal however, I will say getting the talent in the door is good but getting the best out of the talent is what’s important and results on the field is what matters. I think the transfer portal adds a level of intrigue to college football.
I’m a FSU fan and alum. I believe Miami was in the top 5 transfer portal winners and that Miami has a realistic shot of beating us (I’d currently pick them to win).
Agreed
As a Duck fan I’m gonna warn u rn that the recruiting w Cristobal looks real nice and gets you excited but once they start playing it’ll be another run on 1st run on 2nd 3rd and long obvious passing situation no creativity hes gonna waste Cam Wards last year and it’s so unfortunate we watched him limit Herbert’s game for 4 years all bc he wants to prove a point and that’s that he can coach the o line… best of luck tho cfb is better when Miami is a top dawg

obviously we wont really know until the season but if florida gets cormani they are certainly had an underrated offseason in the portal
They didn't land any big time transfers, but I think Nebraska did okay.
Mainly, because we barely lost anyone, we only lost a pass rusher and an offensive lineman, i was VERY surprised we didn't lose more.
Ou wasnt in the main pic of this video but i KNEW they should be top of this list and sure enough you talk about them first ... good on you Josh!
Not sure how Miami is not a top 5 transfer class??? We got Cam, Meesh, Martinez, Barrow, Hill, Alderman, and Sam Brown
sam browns best video is him getting his ass whooped by his teammates and then cries 😂😂
@@codygibson7841 ngl that was funny 🤣
AU did a solid job. Nothing wild or great. Solid
Miami can be #1 at all positions but will never win, Coaching matters and they have a great recruiter. It ends right there
Mario won the sun belt ship in 2010, pac 12 ships in 19 and 20. He had a 35-13 record, never having less than 9 wins in a full season at Oregon. How do you figure he cannot win? You’re aware of what he walked into at Miami and the demolition he had to do to reset the program, correct?

Even at Miami, his team was still ranked with higher talent than his opposition. He has lost to UNC! Lost to Duke! Lost to Georgia Tech!! He lost to Middle Frik’n Tennessee!!!!!!!!
His best years at Oregon were because of one certain player, Justin Herbert. Remove Herbert, and Oregon is a 50/50 squad.
His offense is incredibly predictable. Run, run, run, punt.
Run, run, run, punt
Run, run, “crap” pass, punt
If it is a pass? 80% of the time it’s a receiver screen out to the flat.
@@jimedick9496 UNC has had Drake maye the last two years. He was the 3rd overall pick. In the Duke game, they had 8 fumbles. I’m not exaggerating and they were still in position to win in the 2nd half. The Gtech loss was brutal, as was the middle Tennessee state game. However I put the middle Tenn on the players. They thought they could just show up. Larry Bluestein has said that was the least talented team they’ve had going back to the 60’s -70’s. I’ll grant you, they were likely talented enough to win that game, but there is a reason Mario kept like 10% of that roster.
It would seem Mario has evolved some since Oregon then. X went for 85 catches and over 1k yards. George had 50 something for 800 and 8 tds. They are returning the highest producing wr tandem in the entire nation.
Last year I put one loss squarely on Mario. Gtech. TVD cost us the rest by having a mental breakdown. He went one stretch with 5 tds -12 interceptions. He did this with clean pockets too. He had a game where the defense was credited with 1 qb pressure, he had 3 picks. Not sure how you can put something like that on Mario. Word is in wisonconsin TVD may not even win the job.

Every thing you just mentioned falls on the head coach. It’s one thing to lose a game against a superior team in talent, but that wasn’t the case in these last two seasons. A great coach can help negate and overcome the talent gap with good coaching, game planning, game adjustments, and bringing out the best of his players. This is a rare situation that happens with Cristobal. He barely pulls off wins against inferior teams, and this is a common theme.
I will say that getting Martinez is going to be huge. He’s a big back and he’s a terrific runner. He’s the perfect addition to Cristobal’s game schemes. Ward is another terrific pickup due to his arm and his legs. He can keep plays alive even after they’ve broke down. This once again shows his ability to recruit, something that non of us question. It’s everything else that we question due to his history.
@@jimedick9496 I disagree. Fumbling 8 times against Duke is not on Mario. You think there is some magical drill you can do that Mario doesn’t to ensure ball security? You think there is some pep talk of readiness that can get the team to focus. At a certain point it’s on the player. The coach cannot make you drink the water. Even the Gtech game. The kneel was bad decision. But TVD threw three horrendous interceptions. Even the commentators were like, what are you doing. I do not put that on Mario. Mario acquired the talent to let TVD operate with as clean pockets as you can get and he failed.
You can criticize Mario for his coaching hires which didn’t help. Steele and Gattis were huge whifs that hurt.
Mario may have inherited talent on paper according to rankings but they were not developed at all. Not to mention the whole team got hurt in 22 by the end of the season. A true freshman was starting qb. They were down to their 4th rb. Their best wr was Colbie young, who Mario transferred in from Juco and 4 out of 5 starting lineman were hurt. Name a coach in year one who’s overcoming all that with a completely brand new staff at every position
Good show
I’ll take keeping good high school players over half the team being transfers any day. It’s called building team chemistry and knowing the system..
That’s what everyone wants but it’s not feasible. If you’re a coach that’s on the hot seat you have to do what you have to do to keep your job.
Go Knights! ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Cant go a single episode without mentioning mario and company lol
You'll get over it 😊
Because now we are becoming relevant again!
Imagine running a segment on transfer portal winners and not mentioning the team that grabbed the top transfer qb and one of the top RBs.
@@raymarrero5438 no because it's hilarious he is just as funny as Miami fans that are the ones that predict national championship every year.
Wht u mad cause he ain't pulling on norhell nuts ?
Can't wait to get started in the SEC! Boomer!
If Florida adds Cormani McClain as a preferred walk-on and that WR Badger they'd probably slide into the top 5.
There is a reason top schools don't want Cormani. He is a program killer
why on earth would Cormani McClain take a PWO
See you all in the fall. I’ll cheer for whoever throws on my alma mater’s jersey, money be damned.
I think you have a good coach up there, anyone who can rebuild Oregon State and turn them into a 10-win team......... Let's just say that is a pretty good resume.
Between Mel tucker, and Mark dantonio, there was a lot of stuff in the house that needed to be cleaned and you're seeing it start now.
305 for life!

I'm glad you defined the portal as the recently closed SPRING window because the video title doesn't do it - which is obviously by design to get more viewers to click on it. It's ironic that you chose to talk about (albeit barely) the FSU mood tracker WITHOUT mentioning all the talented players they accumulated in the Winter Portal that lessened the need to pick up more in the Spring.
HOWEVER, they did pick up two very important players in the past two weeks:
One is Omarrion "Duke" Cooper, a 6-0 190 DB, who entered the portal last year and played for Colorado. Duke discovered the grass wasn't greener on Deion's lawn so he asked Norvell if he could return. Norvell's policy on returnees is that (1) the player has to be in a postion of need, (2) his experience and leadership abilities from playing at FSU will benefit the team and (3) he left on a high note and was very complimentary of the coaches and his teammates.
The second one is Cam Riley, a 6-5 242 LB , from Auburn. Cam has the size of a DE which make him a perfect addition to one of Coach Fuller's many blitz packages. FSU lost its two top LB's, Tatum Bethune and Kalen DeLoach, to the Draft but since Fuller runs a 4-2-5 alignment, getting one or two extra LB's with P5 (P4) experience is less of a critical need than a complimentary addition to the young guys that Coach Shannon brought in.
The Post Spring transfer window needs to go. After spring camp you are supposed to know what you have and be able to plan accordingly for fall camp and the season. But now spring camp means nothing. Half of your team may transfer after spring camp. You have no idea for sure until the dust settles. Half the players you thought might have some kind of role might be gone before fall camp. It's ridiculous. I think there should be only ONE window. And that's a window that opens up AFTER the last season ends. And it should close a few days; maybe a week, before National Signing Day. So after National Signing Day you know what you are going to have for the upcoming season.
As a Texas fan I don't like Oklahoma but I wanna see how they do this year and fare against the rest of the SEC

LSU definitely came out ahead. Lost 20+ to the portal. ONLY 2 would have seen the field on the regular. Brought IN 8 from the portal At least 6 will be in the 2 deep. Three maybe four will end up starting. Even after losing 20+ and only bringing in 8 CBK has his team right at the 85 man roster.

Oklahoma is my sleeper pick this year.
😂 don't bet the house on it
“Sleeper pick” is heavy statement to make. Did you see their schedule? One of the toughest in CFB in 2024
@@t.22916they are stacked for a team that isn't getting much chatter, and I think that makes them uniquely dangerous. Talented, and with no expectations/nothing to lose. If they beat Texas again this year, I'm not sure they have the 2 random losses they had last year.
@@cameronb8503 I agree, but DAYUM they have a tough schedule. I pray they stay healthy

The portal is just like NFL free agency. You don't know what kind of players you have, until the fall training camp. Stars mean nothing, that was given in High School.
I think u limited transfers is going to ruin college football. If you choose poorly at your I initial. School you should be able to transfer ONCE. Any more than that and the NCAA is just preNFL.
It is pre NFL..
Miami's problem is that they have Mario Cristobal as the coach! He is an awesome recruiter but a terrible coach!
Ducks win it all this year

Yeah, he won the SEC championship with a DB. Then he lost the natty because of poor clock management. Malzahn is a glorified HS coach. Love the guy, but will never win anything major. (Hopefully ill have to swallow that pride someday)
