Kawasaki is a popular city between Tokyo and Yokohama.
Recently, I went to visit a rare akiya in Kawasaki.
The house went under contract shortly after I visited it.
Would you have bought an abandoned house like this?

Shu you have the best vlog show around very informative content
I'm very interested in abandoned houses Yokosuka and Yokohama I will be coming very soon I don't know how long it will take to to find what I'm looking for but I'm very interested in meeting with you and also whatever it takes to stay in on I need a one-bedroom apartment or little tiny Studio house in Yokosuka or Yokohama so we can find what we're looking for my budget for All In is roughly around 6 million yen as for to buy to under the table rent and renovations if it's possible😮😊😅😊
Hi Shu, is this house still available ?
It looked like it had a great potential, I think just empty and clean - it it’s already good enough to sleep, eat, shower and live in it. But renovated obviously better. … what’s airbnb potential on something like this vs renting it out
Loved the suspense in the intro!
Awesome location, Train Station, Cafés and supermarkets nearby is just superb. Definitely enjoyed seeing this particular Akiya.
The Sun is out, and it brings everything to life. Those shades look really nice on you! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm always impressed that abandoned houses in Japan look so great. Here the minute that a house is abandoned you find squatters and people who will trash and rip out anything of value. I know that it will be years before I can even dream of trying to buy and refurbish a house in Japan, but listening to your walk around such houses I actually learn what to look for when I finally get enough saved. Plus we always get great views out of those windows.
The best part of your videos is you never try selling us your business as I don't think I ever really heard you mention it. You mentioned other businesses when you interviewed people but never yours. Seen you offer to help others in the comments but only if they mentioned an interest in purchasing a house.
Thanks a lot! Comments like these inspire me to create more videos like this one.
Thanks for another awesome video 😊
Appreciate it!
Awesome, i think you should be a realtor 😀 You will help a lot of people
I got to go back to my parents' hometown, Kawasaki, one day. My father missed it so much since they fled their home near the Army's airstrip because of aerial bombing..
Very nice location…. 👍🏼
It is. Are you familiar with Kawasaki?
@@shumatsuopost yes I am. I live in Kawasaki 😃 I enjoy to see the Akiya information….👍🏼✨
when you register your property you become the Owner and they hold Ownership title since you REGI-stered (REGI is the crown corp), you have full liability and they can take it off you anytime, thats the Baby-loan system also happens with the KOZEKI give away your babies and them rent them back as Pair-rents.
Someday i will purchased an akiya when i go to japan ❤
Sounds amazing! Good luck!
Love your videos!! Great job! I've been following you since November of '22 and I can't wait to work with you! Keep up the great work! 🙂🍻
Love to hear that! Thanks for the support!
To be fair Musashi Kosugi is probably the most bougie place in Kawasaki, I really like it there. Apparently its a very desirable place to live like Kichijoji because of its accessibility. Toyoko (Tokyo-Yokohama), Saikyo (Saitama-Tokyo), Yokosuka (Yokosuka-Chiba), Meguro/Mita/Nambu (can go to very central Tokyo in Minato), and even a stop on the Narita Express.
It seems the road access is from the back yard. You can potentially lower the grade, build a garage and a lower level.
I’m wondering if you can make offer but only if it passes an inspection for mold, water leak or structural issues? Great content, never miss an episode.
Thank you so much!
Why people in Japan left everything in the house , even very personal items … to buy the house ,does the new owner has to clean up everything…what to do with personal items ?…Thank you for show us theses house 👍
I can see myself purchasing a Akiya one day.
Let us know if you need help with that ;)
Even if it’s rebuild, how do you get anything of those stairs to rebuild it with?
Definitely, a contender for the investor. Kawasaki location with land, rebuildable, near the train station..... gets an "A". 👍👏 P.S. A one-story is a huge plus!
It's actually really good considering its location.
@@shumatsuopost 😍❤
Bought a condo for $350k 8 years ago near Sendagaya on top of a hill farms on two sides
It would take approximately 13 years for the house to be paid off
Unless it has road access and parking place I wouldnt touch it. 😢
Yes I will buy
I remember reading in one of your blog posts that purchasing real estate in Japan as an investment was not a good idea due to lack of appreciation. Is that still the case or has your opinion changed?
Great content but man, the constant jump shots give me migraine. 😂
Could you do a video about how to get rid of personal belongings like you had in that appartment you showed us?
I heard and have seen it is very expensive. Do you have any recommendation to get it done by someone not trying to rip you off?
I'm looking to but a home there and live there 6 months per year. Would this force me to become a Tax resident?
もしよれしければ、プロフィール欄にも日本語を付け加えて下さると、ないし日本語訳を付け加えて下さると日本の方々ももっと身近に楽しめるかなって勝手ながら思いました🙇♀️
I am interested in purchasing akiyas, throwing them into an LLC and give myself that as a salary, perhaps that can get me the business green card? Once I get the capital I will definitely study the details more closely.

For Conversion purposes.... 70,000 yen is $452.00 dollars a month. Time to move Expats‼️‼️
Cheap would add 3 or 4 floors, a garage and an elevator Make it a triplex with a 150 footprint. 7 mil is just to buy the land Demolish bury rumble
Rebuild 100%
You going to drive up the stairs? 😆
@@kmo20794 can park on the roof or third floor if I rebuild the building
Why so many abandoned homes in Japan?
There’s no road? And no parking?it’s up a few flights of stairs. And it’s a “good location”??
I suppose when those new flying cars come out, it’ll become worth a punt.
But I can’t see anyone renting that for 7万. Especially not female. 4DK is too big for 1.
Kids? Shopping when it’s raining? Break a leg? Need an ambulance? Gee! That’s a TERRIBLE location, no matter how near it is to the station.
Any renter is gonna be done with that place after a year. I mean why would you rent it? I bet you can find much better for 7万 in Kawasaki.
Come on! Show us something decent!
Not very handy in the evening and difficult to find 👎👎👎
