Hi Gary. Last Monday I sowed seeds for kohlrabi, Pak Choi, Komatsuna, Yellow Heart Winter Choy, Golden Detroit Beets, and Brunswick Cabbage. I am still waiting on the Brunswick Cabbage and beets to sprout. Everything else is up, and thinned down. The Brunswick Cabbage is in an area that gets a lot of sun, so I may have to replant after it cools down, probably the end of the month, of Beginning of October. The heat wave has broken, but there is more 93F days in the forecast. This year, my biggest pest problem has been cutworms, and horned worms. I had a major infestation, that resulted in having to remove several of my tomato plants early. I have a Black Cherry that is still going strong, and a volunteer Super Sweet 100 that has just begun to flower. In a week, or two. depending on the temperature, I will be sowing Early Girl Bush and Tom Thumb tomato plants for winter tomatoes, and sowing seeds for more turnips, beets, and carrots.

Hi Gary. This is an off subject question. I have been growing ornamental cabbage and kale for fall for a few years now. I always have trouble keeping them short like in the nurseries. I found out this year that there is a growth regulator to put on them. Do you know anything about how I could get some of this. I checked amazon and it is way expensive. I just want to grow them for myself not to sell. Have you ever used the growth regulator and what was your experience. Thanks Gary😊

First of all, most people in the northern states and Canada have harsher winters than that. Second, you don't need to spend so much time saying what you're going to do in the video. Just do it and who cares about some silly "intro." This isn't 5th grade English class.

I dont agree with you. Most people have very different garden climates. People learn in different ways and this is a learning channel. If it's not for you I get it. But your input isn't really helpful because as you pointed out gardens vary as do the people watching. People have different levels of understanding. And start at different points in their learning.

The beauty of RUclips is that it's so easy to find another channel if you aren't happy.
