After Roxy's death he became a depressed drunk that hardly went home and eventually started having sex with prostitutes which caused Sylphy to leave him and join Ariel's attempt to seize the throne which led to her death. Finding Sylphy's mutilated body hanging from the castle is probably what started his rampage as he destroyed the entire kingdom and became a one man army bent on revenge and fueled by hatred (including self hatred)
Dont forget hitogami literally destroyed all entrances to his realm because he feared old rudeus was capable of killing him. That in itself would out oldeus abive current timeline rudeus by a long shot. Not to mention unlike current rudeus, old rudeus could fight close combat with emperor level swordsmen and completely demolish them.

Dark Rudy has a stronger magic skillset, but our Rudy has a much better MK Armor. Our Rudy also has more potential given that he can receive training from Orsted and has access to a lot of his items. That said, Rudy ain't about that life so he's never gonna reach the heights of his revenge-fueled alternate self.

We know in retrospect that it would have been Water God Reida Reia and North Emperor Auber Corvette, who killed Sylphe and Ariel in the original timeline. It's all but stated that the North Emperor Oldeus kills is Auber. So, it's either an editorial mistake, and it was supposed to be "Water God defeated." Or we can assume that given how old the Water God was, she passed away from old age. This makes Isolte Cruel the next best target for Oldeus' vengeance.
He tried to find him, but fail. There are some theory about this 1. Due to Rudeus large manapool and his capability of magic, Orsted always try to avoid Rudeus since fighting him would use alot of mana which would make another failed loop. 2. Orsted going suicide since he see no hope of winning against Hitogami in Oldeus timeline

I love the describtion of old rudeus finding Ariel and Sylfie's bodies in capital and performing massacre in capital. It shows how much Rudeus from that timeline is destroyed by hitogami and emotionless
Oldeus can actually gradually use the time travel magic in order to survive but he used it in one massive leap and only half his body was transported with his diary. This is all in order to kill Hitogami and a way of repentance from him
Oldeus is not as strong as some people think, his MK is much weaker than even MK1, because only Rudeus and Zanoba worked on it, when Cliff also worked on MK1, Roxy helped and Hitogami's advice. Also, in the diary it was not said anywhere that Oldeus defeated someone with the title God, at most only emperors, and also almost died from Atofe, when the ordinary Rudeus had no problems with this, by the end of his life Ruleus also mastered the magic of gravity as it was shown in the finale. Oldeus’s only advantage is time magic, but Rudeus simply doesn’t need this magic, unlike Oldeus, he has nothing to change in his life, and it is unlikely that time magic can be used effectively during battle. There is no evidence that Oldeus is stronger than Rudeus So this is a debatable fact
Huh Oldeus not only mastered gravity magic but also lightning magic, he even displayed it right in front of Rudeus, and has an even deeper understanding of magic, maybe on par with Orsted, stating to his younger self that magic is nigh omnipotent, as long as you have enough mana, which both of them have plenty off. He looked down on Atofe which he has the right to, and Atofe feared him, Oldeus only almost died due to his arrogance because Moore, Atofe’s underling, because of a surprise attack and only survived due to that timeline’s Eris saving him. Honestly that won’t happen, based on how far the anime is covering. At best it will be when Paul dies in the dungeon and he gets master roxy as his second wife. If it goes to season 4 then we may see oldeius at least. They are sticking to the ln pretty well.

The only thing oldeus have over rudeus is gravity magic. Rudeus Magic armor is far better than that of oldeus and rudeus was trained with the armor by orsted and eris. If they both fought to the death, rudeus has a very good chance of winning
No, Rudeus also masters the lightning spell, from Chapter 12 before meeting Oldeus, and he learns gravity magic in his old age, as seen in Volume 26. Even without them, MK0 is stronger than Oldeus’ MK, which means Rudeus has more chances in close combat.@@The_Tsundere_Hahari

Rudeus tried to chase Sylphie to apologize to her but he only saw her mutilated headless corpse full of bruises and cuts, and and then saw her stoned head hung on the pole in the public plaza. Rudeus then mindbroke and went berserk and massacred as many Asuran soldiers as possible
It really shows that even if Hitogami fucks up Rudeus’s life, he will still give the “fuck you” to Hitogami and go back to the past. He is the one thing Hitogami can never control and should never have had as an enemy. It’s both his unwavering determination and “uniqueness” that makes him to be such an unpredictable variable. Even if Hitogami succeeded in destroying his life, he will still win in the end (traveling to the past). If Oldeus just threw in the towel after he lost so many times, Hitogami wouldve won. But he didn’t, although his descent to madness was saddening, his relentlessness made it to the past.
Mans life was so bad he traveled back in time to rewrite history. I'm pretty sure he also felt like what it took to get all his power wasn't worth it, so tipping his younger self off about Hitogami was a simultaneous "F you" to Hitogami and a reset for him. Either way, even though nothing went right for Oldeus, the man fought like a demon for the life and happiness that was stolen from him. He definitely kept his promise about doing things differently in his second life. So in a way, his core objective was a success. Him mastering time travel for a different ending is just new game plus
Honestly, the fact Rudeus doesn't see a point in learning past advanced healing and detoxification is dumb on his part.. Considering Devine healing brought him back from the dead with a hole in his chest 🤦🏿♂️ With the "All Powerful" magic in that world, I'm finding out how to use magic to fly/defy gravity, extend life and invisibility.
Healing magic King rank and above needs a whole book of chanting. That kind of thing suits Sylphy with her chantless healing though she could only use 2-3 times with her limited mana. Rudy couldn't do chantless healing magic. He's too busy with other things to have time for that.

Rudues didn't technically kill gallus cleaner, only knocked him out, he hasnt got a bodycount yet as of this point in the story. The beast people delt with him afterwards.

We call this rudy Oldeus, cuz he old. He invents time travel magic, goes back in time, and prevents Rudy from falling down his path

He's a perfect example of what happens when you turn a guy who has the power to basically destroy the world from a peaceful giant into a rampaging beast. Obito from Naruto is a great comparison both with the revenge he takes and the fact all his tragedies were manipulated. I'd say Eren Yeager is another great one example who was technically manipulated the whole time buuuuuut I wouldn't say he started out as a peaceful giant who turned into a rampaging beast. He was a baby wolf ready to kill all enemies and was just escalated by the death of his mom which was a mind f**k of somehow his own manipulation of himself.
What if we suddenly get a MT OVA, suddenly Roxy and Cliff is dead, and it all spiral out of control ending with Oldeus time travelling at the end of the episode, Next episode we still follow Oldeus surprised, arriving on the past and meeting his younger self, from there we enter Turning Point 4
I didn't know he clapped the water god. She was so frickin powerful I can't imagine how Rudeus did that, I mean if you can kill the water god you'll just be kinda weaker than only 6 people in the world ( the top three greater powers + north god + the old and new sword gods)
Magic is extremely versatile. Even if water god style is a counter to magic, Oldeus fought emperor level swordman casually and has the skill, experience, versality to find a way to win. Btw even if he didn’t kill a god level swordman, u think hitogami a god and him wanting to kill hitogami while being weak would accomplish it? He has to become strong and with the motivation and dedication, this would strengthen his mentality to truly fight gods
At the end of series, Rudeus does master gravity magic and uses it effortlessly to catch his granddaughter Ferris from tripping. With magic armor, Rudeus is far stronger than that alternate version

@@FlaccidPlatypus Yeah I also seem to recall Oldeus even managed to learn how to use touki (the technique used by swordsmans to reinforce their bodies with their mana). Not sure on the details though. It might not have been as good as normal touki as there was a very specific reason normal timeline Rudeus couldn't use it. But Oldeus went down a path of destruction and he managed to learn it out of necessity and even then it was probably difficult for him to maintain. At least that's what I've been told anyways. Main timeline Rudeus will never learn even the basic form of it.

In the LN (IIRC LN 15 is when this happens) Oldeus leaves behind a diary and time-travels back in time to warn Rudy. So it's a condensed series of events the reader knows is about the past. A lot of us want the anime to adapt it as a fake-out though
Improved healing magic? I knew it. I know that Rudeus could have done it if he tried really hard. He should have known that Healing magic would be helpful in the future knowing that the world he’s living in isn’t exactly safe 😢.

Not exactly he lack his will power Desire and courage a good example is how our Rudeos fear fighting strong opponents and as such can’t be able to use his all old Rudeos did not fear death so he fought against emporer level swordsman while Rudeos ran away from them.
I always wonder why Old Rudeus didn't seek out Orsted in his timeline. He knows damn well that Orsted hates Hitogami.. and Orsted is the closest being who can help him more abount Hitogami. Orsted didn't look like the type who worked with others before Nanahoshi came into the picture and later Rudeus. Besides Oldeus was a bitter old man, there is no doubt that he may harbor hatred towards Orsted as well given that he is the Dragon God. So regardless if Oldeus and Orsted shared a common enemy, I doubt Oldeus would even be able to stomach working together with him. For all we know, Orsted may not have wanted him because of how self-destructive Oldeus is in the future timeline.

As much as I admire oldeus I hate how he died (time travel side effect) it was either that or he would of died of old age, I still don’t understand why he didn’t write in the journal how to learn his upgraded version of healing magic and time travel current Rudy could of mastered time travel and I heard current Rudy did learn and eventually master gravity magic
For healing magic he probably just used circles, so current Rudeus is caught up on that and although the old Rudeus mastered gravity magic, rudeus seemed to start to grasp around vol 26... When it comes to why the lack of annotations on discoveries the current Rudeus assumed the other just had that much confidence in his massive amount of mana
It's all part of the same story, it's just a continuous event, after he meets the old Rudeus he starts reading the diary, it's not like that much content, it can probably be done within 1 or 2 anime chapters

Even if Hitogami succeeded in destroying his life, he will still win in the end (traveling to the past). If Oldeus just threw in the towel after he lost so many times, Hitogami wouldve won. But he didn’t, although his descent to madness was saddening, his relentlessness made it to the past.

Mans life was so bad he traveled back in time to rewrite history. I'm pretty sure he also felt like what it took to get all his power wasn't worth it, so tipping his younger self off about Hitogami was a simultaneous "F you" to Hitogami and a reset for him. Either way, even though nothing went right for Oldeus, the man fought like a demon for the life and happiness that was stolen from him. He definitely kept his promise about doing things differently in his second life. So in a way, his core objective was a success. Him mastering time travel for a different ending is just new game plus

He's a perfect example of what happens when you turn a guy who has the power to basically destroy the world from a peaceful giant into a rampaging beast. Obito from Naruto is a great comparison both with the revenge he takes and the fact all his tragedies were manipulated. I'd say Eren Yeager is another great one example who was technically manipulated the whole time buuuuuut I wouldn't say he started out as a peaceful giant who turned into a rampaging beast. He was a baby wolf ready to kill all enemies and was just escalated by the death of his mom which was a mind f**k of somehow his own manipulation of himself.

She was so frickin powerful I can't imagine how Rudeus did that, I mean if you can kill the water god you'll just be kinda weaker than only 6 people in the world ( the top three greater powers + north god + the old and new sword gods)
Magic is extremely versatile. Even if water god style is a counter to magic, Oldeus fought emperor level swordman casually and has the skill, experience, versality to find a way to win. Btw even if he didn’t kill a god level swordman, u think hitogami a god and him wanting to kill hitogami while being weak would accomplish it? He has to become strong and with the motivation and dedication, this would strengthen his mentality to truly fight gods

@@FlaccidPlatypus Yeah I also seem to recall Oldeus even managed to learn how to use touki (the technique used by swordsmans to reinforce their bodies with their mana).
Not sure on the details though. It might not have been as good as normal touki as there was a very specific reason normal timeline Rudeus couldn't use it.
But Oldeus went down a path of destruction and he managed to learn it out of necessity and even then it was probably difficult for him to maintain. At least that's what I've been told anyways.
Main timeline Rudeus will never learn even the basic form of it.

In the LN (IIRC LN 15 is when this happens) Oldeus leaves behind a diary and time-travels back in time to warn Rudy. So it's a condensed series of events the reader knows is about the past.
A lot of us want the anime to adapt it as a fake-out though

I knew it. I know that Rudeus could have done it if he tried really hard. He should have known that Healing magic would be helpful in the future knowing that the world he’s living in isn’t exactly safe 😢.

I always wonder why Old Rudeus didn't seek out Orsted in his timeline. He knows damn well that Orsted hates Hitogami.. and Orsted is the closest being who can help him more abount Hitogami. Is it like a fault in writting? I haven't read the part yet so i don't know please someone tell me if old Rudues mentions Orsted in his diary..
Orsted didn't look like the type who worked with others before Nanahoshi came into the picture and later Rudeus.
Besides Oldeus was a bitter old man, there is no doubt that he may harbor hatred towards Orsted as well given that he is the Dragon God.
So regardless if Oldeus and Orsted shared a common enemy, I doubt Oldeus would even be able to stomach working together with him.
For all we know, Orsted may not have wanted him because of how self-destructive Oldeus is in the future timeline.

As much as I admire oldeus I hate how he died (time travel side effect) it was either that or he would of died of old age, I still don’t understand why he didn’t write in the journal how to learn his upgraded version of healing magic and time travel current Rudy could of mastered time travel and I heard current Rudy did learn and eventually master gravity magic
For healing magic he probably just used circles, so current Rudeus is caught up on that and although the old Rudeus mastered gravity magic, rudeus seemed to start to grasp around vol 26... When it comes to why the lack of annotations on discoveries the current Rudeus assumed the other just had that much confidence in his massive amount of mana

It's all part of the same story, it's just a continuous event, after he meets the old Rudeus he starts reading the diary, it's not like that much content, it can probably be done within 1 or 2 anime chapters

Osterd avoided him either he kill’s himself after finding what Rudeos did to nana hosi or just straight up ran away from him since dark time Rudeos was the only person able to kill him in that timeline since he became the second strongest person rather then the 7 strongest person. Ak osterd wanted to be far away from crazy Rudeos while crazy Rudeos wanted to find him to either be his Allie or if he refuses kill him and get his powers

The thing is there's no point of orsted somehow trying to contact him, he wouldn't know rudeus is trying to fight the man god and even if he did he could consider it a trap, which is just a waste of mana, plus he's literally busy, just like rudeus ended up all over the world doing work for orsted without him it would've been orsted the one running around trying to establish the time line in which he can defeat the man god.

@@memesofwarhemmer7076 Orsted wasn't smart then, he had his best chance on defeating hitogami by teaming up with that rare and extremely powerful anomaly called Rudeus Greyrat, and I find hard to believe that he didn't also knew Rudeus wanted to kill Hitogami as much as him. I don't believe he was that mad with the death of nanahoshi, he'd definitely felt some sadness but that's it, he's main goal is absolutely beyond a mere death of a curious human (nanahoshi). Besides, if I remember well Rudeus wasn't even the one who killed her, she pretty much killed herself

Pretty sure Lilia, norne, Lucy, and Zenith were the only ones who survived that timeline. Pretty sure the deaths in order are Cliff, Roxy, Sylphie, Nanahoshi, Zanoba and his dwarf apprentice his retainer, Aisha and Eris after she took a hit for him from Atofe that ended up killing her and keep in mind this was after Rudy tortured Eris believing she was one of hitogami's apostles since she was always following him around and picking fights with him since he wanted nothing to do with her.
If it's Rudeus with Mk.0 he can probably beat Oldeus but if it's a magic contest Oldeus should win
