    • @WhiskeySlim_
      @WhiskeySlim_ 7 лет назад +33

      Realistically, it will only take you about 2-3 months of good practice to make illustrations like these. (assuming you already have some artistic ability under your belt). You'd be surprised what an hour of drawing a day will yield.

      Nevin Dunn I totally agree, it's so surprising what you can learn from practicing rather than wishing...I have one video up which I don't think is that good and I need to improve so much but I'm getting there...

    I wish I could motivate my self to draw something everyday :( idk how people are so creative at being original and adding their own gestures to their drawings. It's amazingz

    • @odalilleaasen
      @odalilleaasen  7 лет назад +20

      Hi Cristi Bunny if you just make your own version of a picture or the real world often enough, you will develop your own "style". I didn't think I had a personal style or made creative drawings at first, but now I can look back and see that it is exactly what I have done. :)

    • @courtnie1783
      @courtnie1783 7 лет назад +8

      Y'know, even if you don't always find time or inspiration to draw every day, you can still practice by simply doodling -- whether that's with cartoons, stick figures, or mindless spirals on paper, it's important to keep your fingers and wrist moving. It forces you to get used to the motions of drawing and let's you leisurely experiment with techniques and effects. That way, when you do get inspired, your hands are ready to work. :)

    • @OpeOhNo
      @OpeOhNo 7 лет назад +7

      Cristi Bunny you just gotta do it, homie. you can't win by being motivated all the time. sometimes you gotta do stuff while every particle in your body is telling you the opposite

      oh and I don't know if you'll see this, but I would like a more quality sketchbook, would you recommend moleskine? I do have some expensive art tools already.

    • @odalilleaasen
      @odalilleaasen  8 лет назад +7

      Jade Nanarjain I am really satisfied with Moleskine, I recently bought a new pocket size sketchbook and a watercolor album, so I'll definitely recommend the brand. But for drawings with ink, be sure to use water-based ink, or else it'll bleed through the paper. And for art in general, I always choose the Art Plus series. :)

    This was a pleasure to see. I liked the diversity. It wasn't the usual cartoon style female self portrait , and boyfriend doodles on every other page that one sees in many sketch books. Not that I'm knocking their artistic abilities, because they're good, but it's nice to see such a variety. You created a very nice sketch book.

      A sketchbook is something you keep for your own sake. You can draw whatever you want in it, and it can be your personal little world. You can try, and nothing will be a failure. You can practice, and always turn to a new page if you want to. Keeping a sketchbook is like keeping a diary :)

      The sketchbook has relatively thick, heavy paper - so it can take watercolors and some kinds of ink. I made a video where I tried to show some of this: ruclips.net/video/E2Yll3wK_Eo/видео.html

    "The book was completed at Dønski(?) the 1st of November 2015" What/where is Dønski? I'm from Norway, but unless I misread it I've got no idea what it is. Is it the school?

      Anne Eileen Sørensen Pssh. Why check Google Maps when I can just ask here then wait for weeks, or maybe even forever, in order to get an answer. Seems pretty efficient to me.

    I loved all your sketches, but loved the pen with a bit of watercolor splashes the most - especially the feathers.
