- Another brief instructional on Canonet QL17 G3 shutter cleaning, this isn’t the full procedure but it’s a great way to get the shutter blades clean to ensure the camera has no other issues.
Nice video… it’s the first I’ve seen on the Canonet . Been looking at the as my first rangefinder. Thanks for the content!
This is a great solution. What I found is three or four small applications over a period of a couple days works better for the long term.
I know the purists shun this approach but so far none of the purists have VOLUNTEERED to do my camera so they can suck it. What you show is a great solution for years and years.
I’d really like to fiddle with my Ae-1 but I watched a couple of your videos. Not worth the risk. Interested in helping me out? It has power but won’t release the shutter. Thanks
Do you ever lube the blades after cleaning? I've taken mine apart as you've shown above but I'm finding the aperture blades are sticking. With a little nudge they'll go where they're supposed to but it seems like it needs some lube. Is there a lube in particular you would recommend to use (sparingly)?
How would I go about getting mine repaired (QL17)by you? Mine seems to suffering from the same issue??

A workplace that messy would be a nightmare.
Hi, what is that tool at 5:16 called?
He literally tells you what they are called at 2:55
Rosary pliers.
Why are you so rough with the winding lever? I see many people operate them like that. An old camera needs treating with a little respect.
