Hi Anthony, I’m in the U.K. and these videos are invaluable to me as I’m new to Hilux ownership having owned Defenders and series Land Rovers for 40 yrs and pretty much have done every job on them. I’m now trying to gain as much knowledge as I can on my current vehicle so as to extract the best performance and reliability from it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of these vehicles with us.
Love your work mate!! Just had this very problem twice in the last 5 days on my 2012 prado, but it was the line for cylinder 4 that is leaking at the pump end... Sure enough there is a clamp missing that fastens the line to the cylinder head! It cost me $1000 last Friday to get new lines and now today (Tuesday) it just went again after 3500kms of travel.
Avoid breakdown, have it serviced regularly. Maintenance is imperative. However well-built an engine may be, it's not indestructible. It'll fall apart eventually if not cared for.
