I think you were spot on. I would be fine if this was a newer company, but this is a little embarrassing. I think it's need for improvement, but you never know. It could be something they can improve on easily.
@@Olynner ya that's a good point too, the have been around and made the XE before in wired so had time to dial it in .. could be small adjustments to get next batch better tho
@@UpgradeLemonade exactly! I try to be positive, however, I'll admit this is a lil embarrassing, again. I do like their mice though. I hope they bring their right handed or ergonomic shapes to the wireless space as well. I've wanted to buy from them for awhile, but never got to try them. Looking for a good g403 replacement 😭
Your criticisms are fair and warranted. I’ve had 2 copies of their wireless offering. My first copy had extremely grindy and awful right click. My second copy had the exact same issue. If they want to compete with the big dogs, they have to do better. To Vaxee’s credit, they refunded me completely, and we emailed back and forth discussing the issues. They were very interested in understanding what went wrong. To me, that shows they truly care about what they create, and I’ll buy their next wireless attempt to support them.
Ya they seem to be very customer focused and respond well to criticism so thats a good sign for the future. They can definitely tighten up on following batches and models
That's very surprising. I actually bought the mouse twice (wired version) one for home and one for work because I enjoyed it so much and had no issues with either. Some of the most consistent left/rick click feel that I've felt in a mouse. Sounds like something slipped with the wireless version. Maybe just because there is more demand.
I was super excited for this release. But I was left utterly disappointed. When I opened the box the left mouse button was pushed out of position from the shell(I have a picture of it). I managed to gently push it back into place. But the click itself lacked that snappy Vaxee feel that I have on both my NP-01S and Outset AX. The left mouse click had very excess pre-travel making it feel very soft and mushy and it lacked that sound I'm used to with Vaxee mice. I assumed this was a QC issue and covered by the warranty, so I contacted their support pointing out the issues and even offering them a picture of the mouse straight from the box. To my surprise I received a semi passive aggressive response, basically telling me that nothing was wrong with the mouse and that I shouldn't order another one. Too bad since everything else was end game for me with this mouse.
I do think there is nothing wrong with it because pretty much every other reviewer I spoke with commented on the extra pre travel. What I mean by that is I think Vaxee made a design decision for the click tensioning on the XE to feel this way. It does add a light easy springiness to it and makes them a touch more spammable. But I agree with you long time fans of Vaxee will feel strange with this after their previous choices on tensioning
thanks for the video, i just bought one from portugal living in brazil and vaxee put a symbolic value in the invoice so we dont need to pay extra taxes, that's very nice from them
I like the criticism you've offered, it's all fair and exactly the kind of detail customers want to know before they invest/commit. Great work, good review.
your criticisms, especially about the colour, are 100% understandable. They are trying to compete with zowie and should be one of the best quality, durable and consistent brands out there if they want to meet their goals. One concern I want them to resolve is that they do not even sell the mouse here in Australia. They did 1 group buy for the NP01 in the past but right now they dont even sell to APAC as a whole, let alone actually to Australia
The yellow on yellow combination looks 🔥 Nice review and valid criticisms by my the looks of it. Mouse might be a bit too big for my hand size and grip style but loving the BFV clips
Appreciate it Volta 🤘❤️ and yeah it's still a bit bulky of a shape overall, but they wanted to go for secure hold so I respect it. Not too bad once you get used to it
bought 3 mice from vaxee. the np-01, outset ax and xe wireless as they released. no qc issues what so ever. the XE coating is quite prone to oily spots even tho i have pretty much dry hands. competitive software is a banger and these are the only mice I don't use any Grip Tape. love that brand. seems like I was lucky for all my purchases
Ya seems the XE Wireless is a little more prone to some of this stuff I mentioned... But it's their first run of these so it can be looked into for later batches to tighten it up
I just gotten my ghostglide sleeve today but I got real lucky. I've gotten two ghostglides sleeves for the price of one. First impression, They feel amazing and glide smooth across my LGG Saturn Pro
Agree with your criticisms 100%. I'm all on board with them staying on that upper 70g weight - that's mainly the audience they appeal to. However, claiming they kept it at that weight because of "the standards they have set for overall build quality and durability" and then multiple copies having such QC issues isn't a good look. Great review.
Appreciate that and glad you agree too , but hey hopefully Vaxee can address this stuff from feedback. Sucks to have little things take away from such performance
Atleast on my xe wired, when the buttons were clicked close to the front, they had a crazy amount of post travel making it next to impossible to spam. I contacted vaxee and they said this was normal. I also have been getting some minor grinding on my main clicks and creaking and shell flex throughout. Vaxee said this was all within acceptable and normal qc. I was really really disappointed in vaxee, I thought the xe would have similar superb build quality like my np01s, however this felt like something I'd expect from other companies and maybe only a step up from somthing like glorious build quality.
Mmmm they really are so close, maybe the xm2we by a little? That said my xm2we is in black and visually I hate looking at it for how greasy it looks hahaha, id recommend the white color instead
Here is a link to it, found it on Amazon, it's like a compression style sleeves comes in a 2 pack so the value is good for the cool design amzn.to/3L0dPMG
@@UpgradeLemonade ah ok. i am excited for the model i2, just a more competitive lightweight version of the g502, or the basilisk, which is something fresh rn.
Yes and they gifted it to me for my birthday. That said they are working on doing some new color options for the Control pad beyond the standard black, coming down the road

it's also interesting to hear that you ftip grip this one, I've not heard many others mention this. I guess that's why its so uncomfortable for ftip, the size. Have you used the HSK Pro?
Well I only ftip grip so anytime I get a mouse that's how I use it primarily. I'll test if briefly on palm/claw so I can get a gauge but ya since I don't main those grips I don't want it to skew how I feel about the mouse I've seen the HSK pro maybe one day I'll jump to it to try
