I got my class A i drive str8 trucks right now. Nevrr driven an MCI but i love to ride them, especially the jersey ones w jake brakes, all diesel, no cng... i want to ride the new diesel units havent ridden them yet none are ready for NJT yet however...
Man time flys I remember when those nabis first came here in Jersey in 08 I was still in high school lol. Now in four soon to be shorten to three years they will start getting replaced. Well I will enjoy them while they are here. I will miss jakes when the older D series MCIs all officially retire.
Man I love me some MCI'S. I've been driving them nearly 12 years now. And I'm really gonna miss when they retire them. There was nothing like, coming thru the Holland or Lincoln Tunnels where you could get the bus up to a decent speed, slide your drivers window open, let up on the accelerator and apply a half brake application.......and listen to that rumble of the Jake and Retarder. Some would kick in as soon as you let up off the accelerator. But.... Ohhhhh....HEAVEN... Man some of them Jake's would send yo ass right out the damn windshield if you're not buckled in. LMFAO.
Luckily Designline is no more, so i say you dont have to worrk NJ will be full of MCI units for along time, they might now all be diesel powered but they are still MCI.
What agency? Here in Jersey we are getting out 45 ft diesels in, the new ones we have in jersey now are Diesel Electric Hybrids, and CNG. The older ones are Diesel.
