I've been through several of these drones; every one of them (thus far) has blown an ESC; but when the drones do function properly they're really fantastic!!! :-)
I was so happy I watched you Vlog...I had trouble connecting.
But after watching your video..it worked first time..I am a beginner using a drone..
And nearly 60...so patience isn't my strong point..

Good vid. I just got this drone and for some reason when I give it a bit of throttle it goes to full speed. I tested it indoors so it only hit a ceiling fan. ANy idea what may cause that issue? Thanks

I bought this drone a coupe of months ago and took it to the beach. I actually flew this thing over a mile and a half out over the ocean with no mods, and had no problems. FPV was good for around 300m. I did this like two or three times because I couldn’t believe the first time. I also did an altitude test and it stopped at 146 meters. That to was impressive with no mods. All the features worked perfectly. After returning home, I flew it and got stuck in a tree. The drone fell to the ground and hit pavement. Of course I was sure it was over at that point but it came back with a vengeance the week after and flew perfectly. Great device.
will you do a transmitter mod for longer range flying and an fpv mod for longer viewing?

What made me buy this thing is a neighbor is really into these things. Whatever he buys that I like I get one. The reasons I bought one of the JJRC x5s is that the last 2 years we have had a catalytic converter thief operating all around us. Not to sound macho but I have a speed shop here and hang out with what is known as the local stockcar mafia. Needless to say I kicked a few crack heads asses here trying to steal and when I needed back up my race car buddies all piled in on the idiots more than once. Back in June my neighbor Tony told me what he suspected is something I already knew that the twins the two brothers that rented this dirty old house about 1/4 mile down the road were the culprits but the house was entirely fenced in behind thick 16 foot high stockade fencing. We were all told it is these twin brothers even by the cops told they suspected them... However they said they need proof to arrest em. Well Tony bought this JJRC X5 and I wasn't really impressed with the looks of it it is kind of a plain jane looking toy. Tony is JJRCs salesman of the year because he flew the thing so precisely from my house out over the 2 dirt bags house and lord and behold in the back of an old dump truck was a load of cat converters just waiting to go somewhere. We drove out to the state police barraks showed em the video went back to my place and sat back drinking beer waiting to watch the show which didn't happen immediately it took em 4 hours to arrive. But Tony so far is JJRCs top salesman in my book. I have an MJX 601H but I am just learning to master flying the thing but I was not up to the challenge Tony took on flying over power lines and in between the friggin trees even on my patch I have 80ft tall oak trees and I do not fly my drones around them huge old oak trees. But JJRC sold me a drone when I saw how precise Tony flew that thing over houses and everything else.
Bought one 3 months ago from Gearbest. It flew great for a while but now one motor jerks a little, but won't spin. I reset the drone & controller. Not sure what sort of failure this is.

This is a great starter drone, I bought mine for 119.00 from gearbest. It’s nice and has a good range however the video lags really bad after about 100 meters

Hello Fredy, don't know if you're still looking for a Drone but the JJRC X9P is a pretty good bang fur your buck.
I was flying mine and it just fell out of the sky and wrecked but it all still works
Note; in your flying you are not getting full GPS Signal, can be seen by the rear lights, from 11:05 to 13:51. Rear lights, light Yellow no GPS; Solid Green GPS.
The X5 appears to be a good Quad for flight and Video/photos, for its price.

Just unboxed my new JJRC X5 EPIK drone from GearBest. After powering up the drone, I used the gimbal button to adjust the camera up and down. After the camera adjusted down, IT IS STUCK! The motor just hums if I attempt to adjust it. I am returning this defective product.

I bought this drone 1month ago and today was my second time flying the jjrcx5. However, it has battery problem. The manual says if the red light keeps solid and the green light keep flashing rapidly, it is malfunctioning. However, it does not explain how to solve this problem. Can anyone help me with this?

They would have to know about the app as well. Also it can only connect to 1 smartphone at a time.
