One minor thing we forgot to mention is that the pilot gets his own jettison switches on the top armament panel. They look and work exactly the same and can be found above the ammo counters or left of the main circuit breaker panel and the "Main" switch. Might also be worth mentioning that the pylons (on the actual aircraft, not in the drop sequence) are numbered 1-6 from left to right.
So that box under the co-pilot's instruments IS the 'bomb release' control item. It only moves clockwise. You have to manually mouse click on it until it is on roman numeral one. (2 times) Otherwise your mapped button won't move it. Once it is on roman numeral one, it will respond to your HOTAS mapped button press of 'bomb release'. That's how Cap ripples them in this video. Each press will result in one bomb falling until all six are gone. 7, and 8 are on the dial too, but I can't see how they function at all with only six pylons. If you click the dial to roman numeral two, and then arm the bombs and master arm on, any press of 'bomb release' will rotate the dial further across 2 bombs released simultaneously, 4 is another two away, and 6 will release the last two bombs at the same time. It takes some practice to get used to.
