The reason I came here for a refresher is that I could not get the altitude AP to engage. Now I know why. Too much collective and too slow. I had a lot of rudder going against the wind and it just didn't like it. lol That's why all your playlist for each module is so brilliant. Just hop over, watch, go back an correct your mistakes.
I feel like this autopilot is very easy and fun to use. The only disatvantage is that it does not use a map to navigate, but, you have the F10 map to navigate yourself or even the NS-430

If you want to be completely hands-free with the cyclic, when flying straight and level with forward cyclic, do you have to re-trim first before using the autopilot?

Pitch autopilot adjustment seems to work a lot better than the altitude button, that's funny
Thank god we have better Autopilots today. this shit is a nightmare

It's cool, but there's really no problem with flying it with no augs on at all. ;)

I suppose it doesn't have an autopilot at all. On the other hand, Mi-8 allows you to fly without touching any controls once you switch autopilot on
