Because the movie was horrible. It had zero character development and a wooden board would've had more charisma than Jason Clarke. The song is a great cover though.

In the original, when Joey sings the line “and at night when the wolves cry it out” his voice breaks into a glottal “fry” on the word “cry”. And in this cover, the singer does the exact same thing. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or a tribute, but either way it’s pretty awesome

I saw this band open for the Distillers a few years ago. They played louder than any band I'd ever seen before or since. When they played the first few notes of this song, the crowd went insane. Such a great cover.

If you liked the story of this movie I recommend you to read the book (or hear it on audiobook), some parts of the story and situations are more detailed and explained. A good book to have a good time.

This was the first horror movie that made me jump. I loved how it was so similar to the original for most of the movie but the end was totally different. The changes were actually really creative and added to the story.

I was SOOOOOOO HAPPY when this started playing! I loved the remake and I loved the cover.
Me, my cousin and mum watched the original roughly 2 years ago and when the re-make came out, we had to watch it! The movie was good (however, I personally think the original one is better) but when the end credits came, this song blasted out of the speakers and me and my mum just started singing...everyone just looked at us confused with an expression of "wtf" 😂 I don't regret a single moment!!! 😂😂😂
