Because the movie was horrible. It had zero character development and a wooden board would've had more charisma than Jason Clarke. The song is a great cover though.

And now its evil reincarnation is up! Just kidding, this version is pretty good actually. Didn't expect that to be honest. But the Ramones are still No.1, and Brain Drain is one of my personal favourites. Can't beat them.

In the original, when Joey sings the line “and at night when the wolves cry it out” his voice breaks into a glottal “fry” on the word “cry”. And in this cover, the singer does the exact same thing. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or a tribute, but either way it’s pretty awesome

I seriously can’t get enough of this cover.
I saw this band open for the Distillers a few years ago. They played louder than any band I'd ever seen before or since. When they played the first few notes of this song, the crowd went insane. Such a great cover.

If you liked the story of this movie I recommend you to read the book (or hear it on audiobook), some parts of the story and situations are more detailed and explained. A good book to have a good time.

This was the first horror movie that made me jump. I loved how it was so similar to the original for most of the movie but the end was totally different. The changes were actually really creative and added to the story.
