  • Today we are flying the F-4E Phantom II by Heatblur! We'll be joined by other content creators and Heatblur as well. We'll answer questions on our respective streams and showcase the amazing job that Heatblur did with the Phantom!
Intro music is "Richthofen" by Meteor, which is part of the F-4E official soundtrack!

Great job my friend. I watched as much as I could live. It’s busy today, so I will watch all of the video later. I’m ready for Tuesday. I’m sure I’ll enjoy the Phantom as much or more than the Tomcat. Heatblur, does such a nice job with feature complete modules. One of my favorite aircraft.

Great, Informative Stream. Keep 'em coming! Quick, maybe dumb question. Is the intercom switch on the throttle also used for UHF Comm? Can't find it in the manual. Thanks!

Hey diesel I noticed that in your sound settings you don't have the "Hear like in helmet" option selected this can help with the sound settings and give you a more realistic feeling to hearing!

I played with that setting early on when I got into DCS, and didn't feel like it did much then, so I haven't messed with it since. May try it out again.

@@DieselThunderAviation Some sounds are then muffled, and it's a shame not to hear them. That's why I have this effect turned off. 😉👍

Why set the trim to -3 on takeoff? This is not in the manual

The pilot SME's I've worked with in the test group told us that was normal procedure since that helps prevent excessive nose rise and AoA right after takeoff. It's listed in the real flight manual, plus Heatblurs manual, though it only calls for 1-3 units nose down. 3 units is really close to the trim needed during your climb.

@@DieselThunderAviationOkay, I have a 1979 manual. F4Manual-1979-T-O-1F-4E-1-Flight-Manual-USAF-Series-F-4E-Aircraft. Is it true that the variometer delay is 4 seconds?

Dunno what sort of machine you run but probably worth looking at an upgrade, those fps drops were massive! :')

How exactly is the F14 ruined by jester?

The internet is a funny place, never had I expected I could find someone writing this post but here we are.
Zach, you realize if you have a friend to put in the back, you won't have Jester, right? Jester is a little work of coding art that enables people to fly two seaters without a second person.
Considering the level of your posts, it's very likely you have no friends so Jester is perfect for you. But since you don't like it, I think it's time for you to wisen up so you can find a friend and fly the F-14.
