This is the only corps doing "retro" (mid 2000's to early 2010's) style show. And for that they won in my heart. They won it at my first show in July, when the soprano chord in a classic waterfall-effect was louder than every preceding corps...and half or more of the corps was yet to come in yet!
Don't get me wrong I'm with you...but they aren't. They prioritized loudness over all and the musicianship never caught up to the muscle. Allentown proved it. J Birney Crum Stadium puts each corps under a microscope (due to no back wall and being way set back, it's pure directional sound no masking)
@@paulblichmann2791 I understand exactly what you’re saying, and I do understand the nuance that makes a great brass line. But each person’s tastes are different. And what gives me the warm and fuzzies is having my hair-or lack thereof-blown back.

Mid 2000s is retro now? 😬
This year Phantom has the best brass I have heard in a LONG time!!

every time I see one of these warmup videos I always think the players have funky reddish hats sitting next to their feet LOL
Um...did I miss the Firebird? Canon is heart-melting as always. Go, Regiment!
Firebird is the mello sustain and the brass chords at the end
In a word yes
Clear as day.
The warm ups are more entertaining than the show music.
Uh...no 😂
Really really wish they would’ve added Fire of Eternal Glory, or Nessun Dorma to the warmups this year
we played Nessun Dorma as an encore tune and can be found on youtube :)
OOOMMMGGG!!!!!!
