In today's video we FINALLY take a look at the famous MJX HYPER GO Brushless. This budget RC blurs the line between budget and name brand. let see what it can do on 3s POWER! This car lives up to the HYPE!

This is a superb RC truck, definitely sets the standard for mid-budget 1/16 scale RC trucks!
It's an example of how good budget RC cars can be
I agree bro these cheapo R/Cs are getting really good and tons of fun!
They sure are. Just a few years ago I wouldn't have had much interest in them. But now they are getting too good for so cheap to deny them anymore.
That shares a lot of parts with my HBX 16890A, is a similar price, but is better optioned for sure! Wow, I didn't know about this truck until now.
It does which is actually one of the good things about it, it's easy to get parts for and it shares alot with other similar rc cars.
Oh yeah Johnny Crash 💥 you have a seriously durable basher & absolutely hobby shops are going to have to get on board soon
I can't wait to take it to the skatepark. I've heard and seen so much about how good they are at skateparks. I think we gotta go 3s, full send, and just send it till we bend it!
I love mine so much
I'm really impressed by it. I didn't even mention in the video how well constructed and thoughtful it really is. I can't wait to take it to the skatepark. From all I've seen they are awesome at skateparks. Thank you for dropping a comment. I appreciate it!
What a great little car. It cooks on 3s. I sure like the GPS you use. Much better than the SkyRC that requires a cell phone and app. Personally I like 1/10 scale cars because my eye sight is really getting bad and small stuff is hard to work on. The great part about the Hyper Go is that when you film it there is no difference between it and 1/5 scale car when it's in frame. So really the entertainment value is the same.
That's a good way to put it, this cars entertainment value really is on par with much larger much more expensive RC cars but it's only 125 dollars. Parts are plentiful, it's popular, and it's easy to see why it's caught on, even the version 1 brushed model is a total BLAST. Other than its compulsive need to wheelie it's also very easy to drive and run straight.
@@Rek_Rc It's a great car man. Honestly the more I drive the more I like cars that are not expensive and cheep to fix. The Hyper Go is the perfect car for going off jumps without freaking out about breaking stuff. It seems extremely tough.
@@RCRoads it really is super tough. I could have made a 35 minute video of just the big ramp alone. I only posted about 1/4 of the skatepark footage.
@@RCRoads I'm actually planning to focus almost totally on budget rc cars for the foreseeable future. They are the cars most people have and can afford, so pointing out the good ones might be helpful. I know I sure can't afford a traxxas XRT, not even sure I'd buy one even if I could, especially when I could buy to good race trucks for the same amount. A good budget rc give all the same thrills and now all the same speed and durability for less than half the price, the RC world is changing again and it won't be long until hosim, wltoys, mjx, and rlarrlo will have just as much name recognition as arrma, traxxas, losi and so on. If budget brands started making larger rc cars without boosting the price too much, while maintaining current performance, the only real difference would be the price. The experience and feeling is the same. The quality will only get better if these budget companies get more support.
@@Rek_Rc Well said. New companies that are cutting their way into the RC market will offer much better prices and produce just as good of if not better cars. A good example of this is the drive shafts on your Hyper Go.
I think your approach is solid and will work great to grow your channel.
Does the 45a esc have a LVC for when you use your own lipo batteries? Or are you just estimating the voltage cut off time?
Mine seemed to cut out at an appropriate voltage. I put it on the charger after I finished running it to bring it back to a storage charge and it had cut off at 3.6 volts which is perfectly within safe low voltage range.
@@Rek_Rc Awesome Thank you.
Which battery suits this car? Yes 😅 Great car!
Pretty much anything 2200 mAh 2s would mostly fit, some 3s in that capacity would as well but for 3s you could buy the hyper go 3s battery specific to that truck or get like a gens ace 1000 mAh 3s. That would fit well.
Great video. But there is misinformation here . This truck was actually a 10 scale truck till Chuck Norris got his hands on it, and compressed it to become almost as tuff as he is.
Ah, I see. I'm onboard with that.
LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see aliexpress listings say the 16207 is 3s and the 16209 is 2s, don't they have the same electronics?
Yes they do. I think the numbers indicate body style.
They have exactly the same electronics, the 16207, 16208 and 16209 all share the same setup.
Amaaaaaazing!
It is an awesome little car it's tough as anything and the parts are so cheap.
How do you attach the GPS up there?
Velcro and gorilla mounting tape.
Apakah bisa pake batray 3s?
Yes
Work 3s baterry 11.5 volt ? Why 2s bateery have only 7.5 volt.
It works on 3s 11.1, and 2s 7.4 .
@@Rek_Rc thank you, so the car does not burn, I have hyper go rcm209 2023
why does this have body posts . aliexpress has these with clipless body mounts
There are 3 MJX versions in brushless and brushed, the clipless version like the one you saw, this one, and the truggy model with body posts as well.
@@Rek_Rc thank you for the reply. I checked again and 16208 and 16209 are both monster trucks and brushless , but one comes with body post and another comes with clip on body , which I find weird because everything else is identical . I even verified on their website .
@@vicsaggu I kind of wish I had gone with the clipless body , but my son likes the look of clip body so I bought that one for him.
@@Rek_Rc I just purchased the exactly same as yours from banggood this morning. I thought mine was clipless but on closer inspection I found out that this body colour comes with standard posts. I am confused as to why would MJX do something like this given the fact clipless version would be way better for long term durability because no body posts to break , and every rc I've owned i have destroyed the body where its attached to body posts via the clips .
@@vicsaggu that's true but eventually even a clipless body would start to break down too especially with a notorious basher like the hyper go. I wouldn't worry too much about the eventual durability, but I do see your point about Banggood not making it perfectly clear from the order screen. I've learned to double and triple check before I checkout on their site for that reason.
The 144010 with 2s is just as fast as this hyper go with 3s.
Yeah, I think most RC people know that. But speed has its limits. I didn't used to feel that way, but after you see an rc go back and forth enough times, it runs its course. we do have a 144010 series on the channel if you want to see why I say that.
@@Rek_Rc it's all comes down to gearing between both cars...144010 has a 4300kv motor 19t pinion...hyper go has a 4200kv 16t pinion. If we had the option to change out the pinion for a bigger one on the mjx would be able to reach 30s+ on 2s
@@RayRiv73 you gave me an idea. I'm going to try something on the MJX
@@Rek_Rc you gonna modify the motor mount to accept a bigger pinion? Keep me posted
@@RayRiv73 yep, I think I have a good way of doing it. I have several 2845 4300kv Motors from wltoys cars, a few 60a ESC also, though the stock ESC runs 3s just fine, but sometimes an ESC swap equals more speed as well even if both can run the same batteries.
This is so fake
How so?
What the
I commented this on a different video
I’m sorry I’m also very confused 😵💫
@@M0T10N-SUCKZ WOW that really is strange. RUclips must be broken again hahahaha
